Hi,
On iOS 26 beta, calls can no longer be reported by swiping left on a call.
This is unfortunately a breaking change.
I have submitted a report on this on June with Feedback Assistant: FB17893517
I hope it will get some more exposure by posting here.

Hi,
In macOS26 beta, our app icon is not showing anymore in the MenuBar. It is also not displayed in the new section "Menu Bar > Allow in the Menu Bar", which seems to be the way to show/hide Menu Bar icons in macOS 26.
The icon is correctly displayed and working in macOS 15. Our app is signed and notarized. It also has the "LSUIElement" value set to "true" in the Info.plist file.
Is there some new mandatory entitlements to add in order to have our app showing in the "Allow in the Menu Bar" section?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi gurus,
Recently I tried to use dtrace on macOS to do some performance analysis, and found that dtrace reliably freezes the whole system.
I have disabled SIP (recovery mode, csrutil disable), when I run sudo filebyproc.d (or any other dtrace command), the whole system just freezes, only hard restart (press power button) can restore the system.
I saw someone answered in https://developer.apple.com/forums/thread/735939 mentioning restart the system without sleep can work around this issue, but in my case, it doesn't work, even after fresh restart, it's the same.
Is this a known issue? Any way around this issue?
My system: macOS Sequoia 15.3.1 on M2.

Just wanted to clarify some expected behaviors here. It seems that there are two distinct behaviors for Live Activity flows for freshly installed apps.
When you start a Live Activity for the first time and the user hasn't yet clicked on Allow/Don't Allow in the activity interface, there are two different sequences:
Starting a Live Activity locally
Request a Live Activity locally via Swift
Live Activity starts
.pushTokenUpdates is immediately triggered, even if the Allow/Don't Allow buttons appear under the Activity UI
Starting a Live Activity via push-to-start
Send a push-to-start notification to launch a Live Activity
Live Activity starts
.pushTokenUpdates is not triggered, and .pushToken returns nil.
If a user clicks on Allow in the Activity UI, only then is .pushTokenUpdates triggered.
Will UVC native support come for the Iphone as well?
So, using external cameras with the ipad is greatly beneficial, but for the iphone, it can make it a production powerhouse!
So, have there been discussions around bringing UVC support for the Iphone as well? and if so, what were your conclusions?
We persist ApplicationTokens in a storage container that ShieldConfigurationExtension has access to. In rare, cases all the ApplicationTokens for a user seem to change.
We know this because the Application parameter passed into configuration(shielding application: Application) -> ShieldConfiguration function has a Token that does not match (using == ) any of the ones we are persisting in storage.
Interestingly, the persisted ones still work, so I don't believe storage has gotten corrupted or anything. We can use them to add or remove shields, we can use them to display labels of the apps they represent, etc. But they don’t match what’s passed into the ShieldConfiguration extension. If the user goes into the FamilyPicker at this point and selects an app of a token that we are already persisting, the FamilyPickerSelection will have a token matching the new one that is passed into ShieldConfigurationExtension, not the one we persisted when they last selected that app.
This leads me to believe the tokens are updated/rotated in some cases. When and why does this happen, and how can we handle it gracefully?
Hi everyone,
I am having issues with all my MacOS devices (3 so far) and push notifications.
My app is in development and when i send a Test APN (From the Push Notification Console) to any of my MacOS devices (using the device token), the log is "discarded as device was offline".
Fun fact, if i run the command : sudo kill apsd
I receive the previously "discarded" Push notification immediately.
Is it a known bug or something is wrong in my configuration ?
Note : my debugProfile.entitlements is fine and the value is set to "development", i have already reloaded my certificate by cleaning the project and rebuilding (according to ChatGPT) but nothing works...
I am using Xcode 26.0.1 and MacOS 26.0.1 on my 3 different MacOS devices all having this issue.
Thanks in advance,
Tom
After the macOS Sequoia update, my app seems to have an issue with Bluetooth communication between macOS and iOS that uses CoreBluetooth for Central-Peripheral communication.
Setup:
The iPhone (in my case: iPhone 14 Pro with iOS 18.0 (22A3354)) acts as the Central, and the Mac (in my case: 14" MacBook Pro 2023 with macOS 15.0 (24A335)) as the Peripheral.
I’ve implemented a mechanism where the Central (iPhone) sends a message to the Peripheral (Mac) every 15 seconds to keep the connection alive (Because it needs to wait for notify characteristic updates).
I never noticed this kind of issue before, but with macOS Sequoia I get it permanently.
Issue:
The connection drops unexpectedly after a period of time (sometimes 20 seconds, sometimes a few minutes) with CBErrorDomain - code 6: The connection has timed out unexpectedly.
Sample Code:
Peripheral (Mac):
ContentView (Peripheral).txt
ContentViewModel (Peripheral).txt
Central (iPhone):
ContentView (Central).txt
ContentViewModel (Central).txt
Reproduce:
I attached sample code including the Central-Sample (for iPhone) and Peripheral-Sample (for Mac).
Just run the Peripheral-Sample (after granting Bluetooth permissions).
Then run the Central-Sample and select the Mac device in the list
After selecting it should connect, discover the service & characteristic and should start writing messages to it.
After some time the func centralManager(_ central: CBCentralManager, didDisconnectPeripheral peripheral: CBPeripheral, error: (any Error)?) {should get called with timed out unexpectedly error.
Could anyone please look into this issue and advise on whether there’s a known bug or any workaround? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated, as this impacts the stability of Bluetooth communication between the devices.
Thanks in advance.
Logs:
I also ran the console.app during this issue which got these errors (if this is helpful):
console_logs.txt
I couldn't find any mention in the Wi-Fi Aware documentation https://developer.apple.com/documentation/WiFiAware about the possibilities of the Wi-Fi Aware connection during the app working in the background execution mode (background state).
Does the framework keep the connection alive when the app goes to the background state?
Is there anything similar concept to CoreBluetooth state restoration available in the case of the Wi-Fi Aware framework?

I’m hitting a WeatherKit JWT failure (WDSJWTAuthenticatorServiceListener Code = 2) at runtime even though the entitlement is present in both the signed binary and the embedded provisioning profile.
Environment

Device / OS
iPhone 15 Pro · iOS 17.4.1 (hardware, not simulator)
Xcode
15.3 (15E204a)
Console output
Failed to generate jwt token for: com.apple.weatherkit.authservice
Error Domain=WeatherDaemon.WDSJWTAuthenticatorServiceListener.Errors Code=2 "(null)"
Entitlement & profile snippets
codesign -d --entitlements :- WeatherKitTest.app | grep -A2 weatherkit
com.apple.developer.weatherkit
security cms -D -i embedded.mobileprovision | grep -A2 weatherkit
com.apple.developer.weatherkit
What I’ve already tried
Regenerated a new development certificate and a new iOS App Development provisioning profile with WeatherKit enabled.
Confirmed the capability is selected in Certificates ▸ Identifiers ▸ Profiles and added in Xcode target settings.
WeatherKit Terms of Service accepted in the portal.
Deleted the app, removed any device management profiles, rebooted the phone, clean-built & ran again.
Reproduced the issue in a minimal SwiftUI app that calls: WeatherService.shared.weather(for: CLLocation(latitude: 33.8121, longitude: -117.9190), including: .current) – same Code 2 error.
Request
It looks like the App ID may need a backend entitlement sync. Could someone from the WeatherKit team please check the status for Team 5SZLQLQ9MD, Bundle ID ParkProfessor.ParkProfessorDisneyland and enable WeatherKit token generation?
Thanks!
All of my apps stopped working with WeatherKit this morning. They all return an "Error Domain=WeatherDaemon.WDSJWTAuthenticatorServiceListener.Errors Code=2" error.
I am certain that the WeatherKit capability added (in project) and enabled as a Capability & App Service (on developer portal for the identifier). All other iCloud features of my apps are working as expected. I have also done all the normal troubleshooting using codesign / security cms, etc. to verify entitlements.
I created the following simple project to verify the integration.
import WeatherKit
import CoreLocation
struct ContentView: View {
@State private var temp: Measurement<UnitTemperature>? = nil
var body: some View {
VStack {
if let t = temp {
Text("\(t.value.rounded())°\(t.unit.symbol)")
} else {
Text("Fetching…")
.task {
let service = WeatherService()
do {
let location = CLLocation(latitude: 50.318668, longitude: -114.917710)
let weather = try await service.weather(for: location, including: .current)
temp = weather.temperature
} catch {
print("Error:", error)
}
}
}
}
}
}
Any ideas what may be happening?
Hi there 👋🏻
We are facing an issue that started on 24 June 2025 where some users that have an active subscription with an offer are not being able to use/restore their subscription since Transaction.currentEntitlements is empty.
We have tried to call the server with this endpoint https://developer.apple.com/documentation/appstoreserverapi/get-transaction-history and it's returning the correct transactions correctly.
Any idea what is happening?
While developing our driver, we've noticed that the *.ips report that contains the stacktrace of the crash is not always generated. I'm wondering why this report may not get generated, or if there's anything specific to do to guarantee it gets generated.
Hello,
I received this message below. I reached out to support but they said they can not help with something this specific. Any organization in the same boat? Which of the certificates in the provided link should I use?
Hello,
We’re reaching out with a final reminder that the Certification Authority (CA) for Apple Push Notification service (APNs) is changing. APNs updated the server certificates in sandbox on January 21, 2025. APNs production server certificates will be updated on February 24, 2025. To continue using APNs without interruption, you’ll need to update your application’s Trust Store to include the new server certificate: SHA-2 Root: USERTrust RSA Certification Authority certificate.
To ensure a smooth transition and avoid push notification delivery failures, please make sure that both old and new server certificates are included in the Trust Store before the cut-off date for each of your application servers that connect to sandbox and production. At this time, you don’t need to update the APNs SSL provider certificates issued to you by Apple.
Our app includes showing external web service with WebView or Safari and returning to the app with custom URL scheme or universal link.
When we set "Hide and Require Face ID" feature which was available on iOS 18, neither custom URL scheme nor universal link activated the app.
If we only set "Require Face ID", the deep link worked properly.
Here is what we've tried:
Define custom URL scheme or universal link in the app
https://developer.apple.com/documentation/xcode/defining-a-custom-url-scheme-for-your-app
https://developer.apple.com/documentation/xcode/supporting-universal-links-in-your-app
Implement external web service with one of the following frameworks
ASWebAuthenticationSession
https://developer.apple.com/documentation/authenticationservices/aswebauthenticationsession/
SFSafariViewController
https://developer.apple.com/documentation/safariservices/sfsafariviewcontroller
Safari
WKWebView
https://developer.apple.com/documentation/webkit/wkwebview
On iOS 18 device, install the app and set "Hide and Require Face ID"
Access external web page and tap the link which activates custom URL scheme or universal link
We expected the deep link to work, but the results were:
Custom URL scheme & ASWebAuthenticationSession/SFSafariViewController/Safari
The system shows "Cannot open the page because the address is invalid"
Custom URL scheme & WKWebView
Nothing happens when tapping the link
Universal link
Directed to the server with associated domain file, but the system doesn't call the app which is defined in the associated domain file
We tested the feature with the app built with Xcode16 beta 6, and the device with iOS 18 Seed 8(22A5350a).
Does hide app feature support custom URL scheme and universal link?
Hello
I'm using this sdk DeclaredAgeRange to get the user age range
When I'm doing in debug mode using sandbox account it is working as expected and I can get the user age range
But when I tried in TestFlight build using sandbox account it is not working and it is always return the age range 18+ and also isEligibleForAgeFeatures API is always returning false
Any advise on this?
I have a total of 100 asset packs associated with my app but I have archived 5 of them. Unfortunately I am now unable to upload any more asset packs (the reported error is "backgroundAsset limit reached -- This app has already reached the maximum number of active backgroundAssets. Maximum allowed is 100.") I assumed that archiving asset packs would make them inactive (and thus not count against the limit). This seems to not be the case and I'm not sure how I can upload new asset packs.
I'm trying to embed a self-built copy of the WebKit frameworks to a macOS app. Most importantly I hope to get some features to work which Safari offers, but WKWebView in macOS doesn't (getDisplayMedia, Service Workers, WebInspector).
Many years ago I was successful in using a self-built WebKit copy in this Mac app, but it seems the WebKit framework got more complex since them, I guess because of WKWebView's architecture.
That time I had to open the projects for the main frameworks in Xcode, select the framework bundle in the target and change the "Installation Directory" setting to the path
@executable_path/../Frameworks. After building WebKit using the build script, I could use otool -L to confirm the changed installation path, which then was displayed for example as @executable_path/../Frameworks/WebCore.framework/Versions/A/WebCore
I tried the same with a current WebKit build:
I copied the products for WebKit.framework, WebCore.framework, JavaScriptCore.framework, WebKitLegacy.framework, WebGPU.framework and WebInspectorUI.framework to my app and added it to the "Frameworks, Libraries and Embedded Content" section in the Project's Target/General tab and selected "Embed & Sign" for each framework.
In "Build Phases" I made sure that WebCore.framework and WebGPU.framework are only in the "Copy Files" phase (Destination Frameworks) and not in "Link Binary with Libraries", as WebCore is linked through the WebKit umbrella framework and WebGPU gave another error (not sure about how to deal with that framework, as in the system it's in a PrivateFrameworks subfolder).
In "Build Settings" I made sure that @executable_path/../Frameworks is entered for "Runpath Search Paths" (it was already probably because of Cocoapods, together with @loader_path/../Frameworks.
When I build my app, the system's WebKit version is used. Only when I add the environment variable DYLD_FRAMEWORK_PATH with value @executable_path/../Frameworks in the run scheme, the embedded self-build WebKit frameworks are used.
Because of currently necessary backward compatibility my app can use the legacy WebView or WKWebView. The legacy WebView works perfectly with the embedded WebKitLegacy.framework. But if I try to open any URL in WKWebView, no content is rendered and in the console output I can see:

I have the impression that the web process might fail to launch because I didn't embed all necessary parts of the self-built WebKit (the product folder contains a large number of XPC, dylib and .a files). Or some additional paths have to be adjusted before building WebKit, so that the embedded frameworks/libraries are used and not the system provided ones. I also looked at the bundle of the Safari Technology Preview and can see some similarities but also differences.
I would be grateful if anybody could provide me with information how to embed a self-built copy of WebKit into a macOS app. Unfortunately I didn't find any Mac open source browser using an embedded copy of WebKit to get some inspiration from.
I’m implementing a Live Activity that shows some text and a button.
When the user taps the button, I want to open the host app.
What I’ve done so far:
Implemented a LiveActivityIntent to handle the button tap.
The intent is triggered successfully. However, the app does not open by using deep link/universal app link.
From what I can tell, LiveActivityIntent seems limited to system/background execution and doesn’t bring the app to the foreground.
Questions:
Is it possible for a LiveActivityIntent to open the app?
Is this behavior a documented/intentional limitation?
If not supported, is using a Universal Link or deep link the recommended solution for opening the app from a Live Activity button?
Any official clarification or recommended best practice would be helpful.
Hello,
I'm trying to create a widget using the WidgetKit framework. In this part, I'm using Intents along with a DynamicOptionsProvider. As shown in the Medium article below, I want to present multiple options when "Edit Widget" is tapped:
https://levelup.gitconnected.com/swiftui-configurable-widget-to-let-our-user-choose-4a54e398f42f
However, in this example, the options are provided statically. What I want to achieve is to display a list of devices based on the selected HomeId after the user selects a Home. I’ve set up the interface accordingly, but when I select a Home, the device list does not update.
How can I make this work? The two options should be dependent on each other.
