MagnifyGesture in RealityView does not work on macOS
I have tested the MagnifyGesture code below on multiple devices: Vision Pro - working iPhone - working iPad - working macOS - not working In Reality Composer Pro, I have also added the below components to the test model entity: Input Target Collision For macOS, I tried the touchpad pinch gesture and mouse scroll wheel, but neither approach works. How to resolve this issue? New Spatial Rendering App on macOS doesn't display on visionOS device
I created a new Spatial Rendering App from the template in Xcode 26.0.1. When I run the app, click 'Show Immersive Space' and select my Vision Pro from the pop-up dialog, the content in the dialog flickers (which seems to indicate something crashed) and nothing appears on my Vision Pro. I'm running the released macOS 26.0 (25A354) and visionOS 26.0 (23M336). Filed as FB20397093.

Cannot reassign worldTracking / planeDetection providers in my PlacementManager when switching environments
Environment Xcode: 16.2 VisionOS SDK 2.4 Swift 6.1 Targets: Apple Vision Pro (immersive space) Frameworks: ARKit, RealityKit, SwiftUI What I’m Trying to Do I have a view-model class PlacementManager that holds two AR providers: private var worldTracking: WorldTrackingProvider private var planeDetection: PlaneDetectionProvider I want to dynamically replace these providers in a setEnvironment(_:) method (so I can save/clear a JSON scene and restart ARKit). ARKit Eye Tracking Calibration Issues - Word-Level Reading Tracking Feasibility
Hi Apple Developer Community, I'm developing an eye-tracking application using ARKit's ARFaceTrackingConfiguration and ARFaceAnchor.blendShapes for gaze detection using Xcode. I'm experiencing several calibration and accuracy issues and would appreciate insights from the community. Current Implementation Using ARFaceAnchor.blendShapes (.eyeLookUpLeft, .eyeLookDownLeft, .eyeLookInLeft, .eyeLookOutLeft, etc.) Implementing custom sensitivity curves and smoothing algorithms Applying baseline correction and coordinate mapping Using quadratic regression for calibration point mapping Issues I'm Facing 1. Calibration Mismatch Red dot position doesn't align with where I'm actually looking Significant offset between intended gaze point and actual cursor position Calibration seems to drift or become inaccurate over time 2. Extreme Eye Movement Requirements Need to make exaggerated eye movements to reach screen edges/corners Natural eye movements don't translate to proportional cursor movement Difficulty reaching certain screen regions even with calibration 3. Sensitivity and Stability Issues Cursor jitters or jumps around when looking at center Too much sensitivity to micro-movements Inconsistent behavior between calibration and normal operation 4. I also noticed that tracking on calibration screen as well as tracking on reading screen works better as expected when head movement is there, but I do not want much head movement. I want tracking with normal eye movement while reading an Ebook. Primary Question: Word-Level Eye Tracking Feasibility Is word-level eye tracking (tracking gaze as users read through individual words in an ebook) technically feasible with current iPhone/iPad hardware? I understand that Apple's built-in eye tracking is primarily an accessibility feature for UI navigation. However, I'm wondering if the TrueDepth camera and ARKit's eye tracking capabilities are sufficient for: Tracking natural reading patterns (left-to-right, line-by-line progression) Detecting which specific words a user is looking at Maintaining accuracy for sustained reading sessions (15-30 minutes) Working reliably across different users and lighting conditions Questions for the Community Hardware Limitations: Are iPhone/iPad TrueDepth cameras capable of the precision needed for word-level tracking, or is this beyond current hardware capabilities? Calibration Best Practices: What calibration strategies have worked best for accurate gaze mapping? How many calibration points are typically needed? Reading-Specific Challenges: Are there particular challenges when tracking reading behavior vs. general gaze tracking? Alternative Approaches: Are there better approaches than ARKit blend shapes for this use case? How to combine Occlusion nodes with soft edges.
At a recent community meeting we were wondering how Apple creates this soft-edge effect around the occlusion cutouts. We see this effect on keyboard cutouts, iPhone cutouts, and in progressive spaces. An example: Notice the soft edged around the occlusion cutout for the keyboard One of our members created some Shader Graph materials to explore soft edges. These work by sending data into the opacity channel of the PreviewSurface node. Unfortunately, the Occlusion Surface nodes lack any sort of input. If you know how to blend these concepts with RealityKit Occlusion, please let us know!

Apple Vision Pro - hand tracking with gloves
I am considering adding finger pad haptics (Data flow for haptic feedback is directed from the AVP to the fingers, not vice versa). Simple piezos wired to a wrist connection holding the driver/battery. But I'm concerned it will impact the hand tracking. Any guidance regarding gloves and/or the size of any peripherals attached to fingers? Or, if anyone has another (inexpensive) low profile option on the market please LMK. Thanks

How to get the transform of the joint in a skeleton when it is Animating
I have an entity that was created using Mixamo, and it has an animation. after the animation completes the mesh of the robot is not where the entity is positioned. I want to do something like when the animation finishes, I set the root entity's transform to the mesh's transform. There are no transformations applied to any of the children of this root of the model, which means that the transformations are applied to the skeleton due the the playing of animations. Is there a way where I can apply the final position of the root of the skeleton to the root entity to make sure to position the entity where the animation has ended just before the next animation plays?

visionOS 2.0 – Persist room‑fixed RealityKit entities on walls across app launches (WorldAnchor?)
I want to let users place 2D/3D “artworks” on detected walls and have them reappear in exactly the same real‑world spot after quitting and relaunching the app (like widgets do, but for my own entities).Environment: Xcode 26, visionOS 2.0, RealityKit + ARKitSession/WorldTrackingProvider Entities are parented to a holder that’s aligned to a wall via plane/mesh raycasts What I’ve tried: Create a WorldAnchor at placement, save UUID + full 4×4 transform On next launch, re-create the WorldAnchor (or set the saved transform) and attach the entity Gate restore on relocalization/mesh updates and disable all raycast/search after restore Issue: After relaunch, placement still resolves relative to current device pose, not the same wall position. Questions: Is there a public API in visionOS 2.0 to persist app‑managed world anchors across sessions (room‑fixed), e.g., AnchorStore or equivalent? If not, what’s the recommended pattern to reliably restore wall‑anchored content? Are persistence features mentioned for widgets/windows available to third‑party RealityKit entities?

Material showing only half?
Hi, I'm currently implementing 180° / 360° property for immersive video in my app. I was able to implement 360° easily by just giving VideoMaterial to flipped sphere. However, I'm bit stuck at 180°. I want to implement by setting VideoMaterial to hemisphere mesh. But since RealityKit doesn't provide default function such like MeshResource.generateHemisphere yet, I just want to apply VideoMaterial half front visible, and half back transparent. I thought this would make my sphere looks like hemisphere. But I can't find my way to implement this method.. I would appreciate any advice / idea / information that might help.

Unity PolySpatial – Live handheld camera feed of graspable objects not rendering on Vision Pro
I am developing a Unity application for the Apple Vision Pro using PolySpatial and RealityKit integration. The goal is to create a graspable object (for example, a handheld cube) that includes a secondary camera. When the user grabs and moves the object, the secondary camera should render its view to a RenderTexture, which is displayed on a quad attached to the object, simulating a live camera screen. In the Unity Editor, this setup works correctly. The RenderTexture updates in real time, and the quad displays the camera’s view as expected. However, when building and running the application on the Vision Pro, the quad only displays the clear background color of the secondary camera. No scene content appears. The graspable interaction itself works fine: the object can be grabbed and moved as intended. Steps I have taken: Created a new layer (CameraFeed) and assigned the relevant objects to it. Set the secondary camera’s culling mask to render only the CameraFeed layer. Assigned the RenderTexture as the camera’s target texture. Applied the RenderTexture to an Unlit/Texture material on a quad. Confirmed the camera is active and correctly positioned relative to the object. From my research, it appears that once objects are managed by RealityKit through PolySpatial (for example, made graspable), they are no longer rendered through Unity's normal camera pipeline. Only the main XR camera (managed by RealityKit) seems able to see these objects. Secondary Unity cameras cannot render RealityKit-synced content to a RenderTexture. If this is correct, it seems there is currently no way to implement a true live secondary camera feed showing graspable objects on Vision Pro using Unity PolySpatial. My questions are: Is there any official way to enable multiple camera rendering of RealityKit-managed objects through PolySpatial? Are there known workarounds to simulate a live camera feed that still allows objects to be grabbed? Has anyone found alternative design patterns or methods for this kind of interaction? Environment: Unity 6.0 , PolySpatial 2.2.4, Apple Vision OS XR 2.2.4 Any insight or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

white gap between objects in RealityView
I want to display a huge image in RealityView in 3d space on Vision Pro. of course instead of one giant file I'm using a lot of big images. to achieve this, I'm generating multiple planes exactly beside each others and put each image on them. although the planes are exactly beside each others but there is still a white gap between them.(image below) **Does anybody know how to fix this issue? **

RoomPlan crash on iOS 16 devices even when using available checks
I've encountered an unexpected crash with RoomPlan on iOS 16 devices. The odd part is the code is protected by an available check, since I'm using newer RoomPlan features. Xcode error dyld[40588]: Symbol not found: _$s8RoomPlan08CapturedA0V16USDExportOptionsV5modelAEvgZ I can repro using the Apple sample code. https://developer.apple.com/documentation/roomplan/create-a-3d-model-of-an-interior-room-by-guiding-the-user-through-an-ar-experience Modify RoomCaptureViewController.swift as follows. Remove try finalResults?.export(to: destinationURL, exportOptions: .parametric) Add if #available(iOS 17.0, *) { try finalResults?.export(to: destinationURL, exportOptions: .model) } else { try finalResults?.export(to: destinationURL, exportOptions: .parametric) } I would have expected this code to at least compile and run on older devices. When the app was targeting iOS 15, the available checks worked as expected and the app is able to launch properly.

vision shareplay nearby codes expired
it looks like one week after accepting as a nearby other AVP device... it expires since we are providing our clients for a timeless app to walk inside archtiecture, it's a shame that not technical staff should connect every week 5 devices to work together is there any roundabout for this issue or straight to the wishlist ? thanks for the support !!

Depth matrix accuracy with the iPhone 14 Pro and Lidar
Hello Community, I’m currently working with the sample code “CapturingDepthUsingTheLiDARCamera” and using it to capture the depth map of an image taken with the iPhone 14 Pro. From this depth map, I generate a point cloud using the intrinsic camera parameters. I've noticed that objects not facing the camera directly appear distorted in the resulting point cloud. For example: An object with surfaces that are perpendicular to each other appears with a sharper angle in the point cloud — around 60° instead of 90°. My question is: Is this due to the general accuracy limitations of the LiDAR sensor? Or could it be related to the sample code? To obtain the depth map, I’m using: AVCapturePhoto.depthData.converting(toDepthDataType: kCVPixelFormatType_DepthFloat32) Thanks in advance for your help!

Odd image placeholder appearing when dismissing an ImmersiveSpace with a ImagePresentationComponent
Hello, There are odd artifacts (one looks like an image placeholder) appearing when dismissing an immersive space which is displaying an ImagePresentationComponent. Both artifacts look like widgets.. ModelEntity position values are stale after world recenter (Crown long press)
Hi everyone, I’m working with RealityKit on visionOS and I’m seeing unexpected behavior when the user long-presses the Digital Crown, which recenters the world. Observed behavior: When the world is recentered via long-pressing the Crown, the models remain visually in the correct place (as expected). However, if I query the model’s position or transform immediately after recentering (e.g. entity.position or similar), I still get the old values from before recenter. As soon as I interact with the model using a gesture (drag/rotate/scale), the position updates and then querying it returns the correct, updated values. So effectively: Recenter happens Visual position is correct Programmatic position remains stale First gesture causes the position to “snap” to the correct updated value Questions: Is there any event, notification, or callback that fires when the world is recentered due to a long press of the Crown button? Is there a recommended way to get the updated world-space transform immediately after recenter, without waiting for a gesture? Is this expected behavior due to deferred/lazy transform updates in RealityKit? Right now it feels like recentering updates the coordinate system but doesn’t immediately commit new transform values to entities until some interaction occurs. Any guidance or best-practice patterns for handling this would be appreciated. Thanks!

new algorithm significantly improves PhotogrammetrySession?
I noticed in the latest macOS beta 3 that there was this update: A new algorithm significantly improves PhotogrammetrySession reconstruction quality of low-texture objects not captured with the ObjectCaptureSession front end. It will be downloaded and cached once in the background when the PhotogrammetrySession is used at runtime. If network isn’t available at that time, the old low quality model will be used until the new one can be downloaded. There is no code change needed to get this improved model. (145220451) I am not noticing any difference to before with the reconstructions I tested so I am assuming it's reverting to the old model but in the logs there is no way to see if it succeeds or fails to download that new model. do you have any more information on what was improved here with some examples and what we should be looking for? also how can confirm the download of that new model has not failed?
