Since iOS 18.1 launched as a beta, we've been getting reports from end users on iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max specifically. They're reporting that our WebView is unable to load our local HTML content. I'm curious if anyone else has had their app or users run into this issue? So far I've tried installing the most recent XCode Beta 16B5014f and installed an 18.1 emulator, but our app worked fine. It's also working fine on all my real devices, but we don't have a 15 Pro to test on. I'm curious if this is related to the processor on these devices and how they are intended to support Apple's new AI coming in 18.1.

We encountered an issue with universal links where the link failed to open the iOS application from Safari when triggered by an javascript outside a click event. However, when we modified the code to open the link directly via a user click, the application launched as expected. Based on our testing, this issue seems to occur only when there is information for the application cached in Safari (i.e. IDP page cached, redirects to our app, javascript based universal link navigation fails). I recently upgraded my device from IOS 18.4 to IOS 26. My web extension has disapeared from safari. I can see it in Settings > Apps > Safari > Extensions and when I turn it on and re-open safari. I just get a mesasge that says "{extension name} is no longer avaiable". I have tried Manifest V2 and Manifest V3 both yield the same results. The current production extension bundled with the IOS app has the same problem. I can no longer use or test my own extension !? Help please !

During our investigation, we encountered an issue that matches the following WebKit bug: 283620 – Caret Positioning Issues in Vertical Writing Mode We understand that this issue is being addressed in the following pull request: https://github.com/WebKit/WebKit/pull/39939 However, it appears that a complete fix has not yet been implemented. Given this situation, we would like to confirm the following: Is there any known workaround for this issue in iOS 17.5 or iOS 18.5 (the latest versions as of now)? If a workaround exists, could you please provide details? If not, could you share the expected timeline for a full resolution of this issue? Although this appears to be an open-source WebKit issue, we are reaching out to Apple because WebKit is tightly integrated with iOS and Safari, and ultimately delivered as part of the iPhone experience. We’ve noticed that the ApplePaySession.applePayCapabilities() check has stopped working correctly in Safari over the past couple of days. Behavior observed: 1.) In Safari Private Window, paymentCredentialStatus behaves as expected and case 1 is triggered. 2.) In a normal Safari window, it always triggers case 3 (paymentCredentialsUnavailable), even when the user has active cards provisioned in Wallet. I have observed Safari App starts crashing when running with my safari extension. Our Safari extension polls the host app every 60s. The extension receives and completes requests in func beginRequest(with context: NSExtensionContext) (we always call context.completeRequest(...)). I have a content blocker that generally works correctly, but I need to block an element that has certain text in it. For example, <span id="theId">Some text</span> is easy enough to block because I can locate the id and block that, but what if there is no id, or the id is completely random? What if it's just <span>Some text</span>? How do I block that? Let's say this is my only content blocker rule: [ { "action": { "type": "css-display-none", "selector": ":has-text(/Some text/i)" }, "trigger": { "url-filter": ".*" } } ] No errors are seen when the rule is loaded, so it's syntactically correct, it just doesn't block the HTML. I gather this is because :has-text() works on attributes, not contents, so it works on alt, href, aria-label etc. but not on the contents of the element itself. How do I block Some text in my example above? Thanks!

Hi, I have an app that uses WKWebView and it's crashing on iOS 26 Simulator in places I've never had problems before. In this case it's crashing when calling WKWebView.callAsyncJavaScript, but in my other project WKWebView is crashing with some sort of EXC_BAD_ACCESS other than callAsyncJavaScript. I'm encountering an issue with front camera video recordings via browser (Safari/Chrome) on devices running iOS/iPadOS 18 and above: On iPad, the recorded video appears upside down. On iPhone, the recorded video is rotated 90 degrees. The rear camera functions correctly without orientation issues. This problem seems specific to browser-based recordings, as the native Camera app records videos with the correct orientation. Has anyone else experienced this behavior? Is there a known workaround or fix? The preview while recording is fine, the recorded video is oriented incorrectly.

Today, I was using Safari, and all of sudden it gets frozen, then the following window popped up. Is this something expected? i.e. my usage is somewhat unusual or is there any report around potential memory leak in Safari? appreciate any suggestions, as Safari is my main browser and currently on hold due to this issue. Hi there I've been having trouble finding any details around how safari is supposed to behave when a FairPlay license expires. My assumption was that the video segments would stop getting decrypted and playback would stop, however I just see that the playback continues like nothing has happened. I've setup the "fps_safari_has_key_renewal.html" sample code from the Fairplay SDK and got encrypted playback working. The renewal method also appears to work. However, if I don't issue a renew call, or if I wait several minutes after the renew has succeeded the video never stops (my license is set with a 1 minute expiry so I can test this quickly). I've also observed that the MediaKeySession expiration property is always set to NaN even though my license has an expiry. I've tried with both Lease and Rental expiries set in the license (separately AND at the same time in separate tests). I'm using EZDRM as my drm provider. Just looking for some feedback on if this is supposed to work this way in safari or if license expiry isn't supported in safari. Thanks!

Ever since the iOS and iPadOS 26.2 beta I can’t open Safari at all. Safari tries to open but crashes and goes back to my home screen. I’ve restored my devices and restarted everything and the same issue occurs. I didn’t have this problem on the beta 26.1 but this whole thing started on 26.2.
