Apple Unity plugin issue
I use unity 2020.3.48f1 to develop a game; trying to implement Apple Services integration I use Apple unity plugins(https://github.com/apple/unityplugins) Using latest version of unity plugins I getting error in Unity project after plugin import It say "Not allowed platform VisionOS" When I tryed to use older version of the plugins I getting error on runtime when calling "var fetchItemsResponse = await GKLocalPlayer.Local.FetchItems();" in line 42 it drop EXC_BAD_ACCESS(code=257, address=0x0000...) error I tryed to use different commits from official repositorys and even custom branches of apple unity plugins like (https://github.com/muZZkat/unityplugins/tree/muzzkat/fix-fetch-items) but it did not help There is whole my script which trying to use apple unuity plugins using System.Threading.Tasks; using UnityEngine; using System.Collections; using System; using Apple.GameKit; using UnityEngine.UI; public class TheScript : MonoBehaviour { [SerializeField] InputField otp; string Signature; string TeamPlayerID; string Salt; string PublicKeyUrl; string Timestamp; void Start() { StartCoroutine(Call()); } private IEnumerator Call() { yield return new WaitForSeconds(5); Login(); } public async Task Login() { otp.text += $"Loginig... "; if (!Apple.GameKit.GKLocalPlayer.Local.IsAuthenticated) { try { var player = await GKLocalPlayer.Authenticate(); var localPlayer = GKLocalPlayer.Local; TeamPlayerID = localPlayer.TeamPlayerId; var fetchItemsResponse = await GKLocalPlayer.Local.FetchItems(); Signature = Convert.ToBase64String(fetchItemsResponse.GetSignature()); PublicKeyUrl = fetchItemsResponse.PublicKeyUrl; otp.text += $"Team Player ID: {TeamPlayerID} "; otp.text += $"PublicKeyUrl: {PublicKeyUrl} "; } catch(Exception e) { otp.text += $"Error: " + e.Message; } } else { Debug.Log("AppleGameCenter player already logged in."); } } async Task SignInWithAppleGameCenterAsync(string signature, string teamPlayerId, string publicKeyURL, string salt, ulong timestamp) { } }

Blurry Game Center Achievement Images?
Hey all — I’ve been building out my first set of Game Center Achievements for a game I’m working on, and I’ve run into something odd with the image quality. The specs say to upload icons at 512x512 or 1024x1024@2x. I’ve been uploading 1024x1024 PNGs (without explicitly naming them “@2x” since there’s only one upload slot), assuming that Game Center would just handle the scaling automatically — kind of like how a lot of things are getting more streamlined across platforms lately. But in testing, the icons are showing up a bit blurry, especially in the Game Center interface. It’s not horrible, but it’s definitely softer than I expected — more like low-res than Retina. All my test devices (outside the Simulator) are running iOS 26, so I’m also wondering if this might be a beta-related display bug? Has anyone else run into this? Curious if I’m missing a best practice here, or if I really do need to ensure I’m uploading it with the @2x suffix, or maybe something else entirely? Thanks!

SMAPI Malware blocking in Stardew Valley on macOS
Hola. At this point, I'm at my wit's end because I've tried EVERYTHING just to be able to play a single game on my Mac, but the new update makes it impossible. So I'm just gonna ask for one game: I've been trying to play Stardew Valley, modded with SMAPI, for a week now. Despite playing the game with mods for almost 2 years, OS is refusing to open the game because SMAPI "contains malware". I tried reinstalling the mod, but no dice. It just automatically deletes the terminal and blocks the game from opening. You can imagine my frustration because the mod has been 100% safe for 2 years. No option to "Open Anyway" in Security Settings, either. I have no say in this. I've tried code signing it in Terminal (three times). Also no dice. Followed these two forums. https://www.reddit.com/r/StardewValley/comments/1h071jl/mac_deleted_stardew_modding_api_because_of_malware/ https://www.reddit.com/r/SMAPI/comments/1h0fgv9/solution_for_mac_malware_issue_with_smapi_417/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button NOTHING. Please tell me there's a way to override this??? Just let me install malware on my computer!😭

How to Apple Unity Plugins
When running my game in the Unity Editor on Windows platform I get an error: DllNotFoundException: GameKitWrapper assembly:<unknown assembly> type:<unknown type> member:(null) Apple.GameKit.DefaultNSErrorHandler.Init () (at ./Library/PackageCache/com.apple.unityplugin.gamekit@0abcad546f73/Source/DefaultHandlers.cs:35) This is because GameKitWrapper dynamically linked library is not available under Windows platform. Besides, "Apple Build Settings" are declared under UNITY_EDITOR_OSX and also not available under Windows platform. Does anyone managed to solve this?

Game Center Dashboard frequently not updating when new achievement unlocked
I am currently working on a game that involves earning achievements, which I am using the Apple Unity Plug-Ins to display. I have found that occasionally opening the Game Center Dashboard the last achievement earned will not be displayed until the game is closed and reopened. I am using GKAccessPoint.Shared.Trigger to display the Achievements screen, which occasionally seems to open a cached version of the dashboard. I've found that it seems to consistently happen when earning multiple achievements within one minute, but this is not always the case. Does anybody have any experience with something like this in the past?

Subject: Handling Z-Up Blender USDZ Models in RealityKit (visionOS) for Transform Updates
Hello everyone, I'm working on a visionOS application using RealityKit and am encountering a common coordinate system challenge when integrating 3D models created in Blender. My goal is to display and dynamically update the Transform (position, rotation, scale) of models created in Blender within RealityKit. The issue arises because Blender's default coordinate system is Z-up, and while exporting to USD/USDZ, I don't have a reliable "Y-up" export option that correctly reorients the model and its transform data for RealityKit's Y-up convention. This means I'm essentially exporting models with their "up" direction along the Z-axis. When I load these Z-up exported models into RealityKit, they are often oriented incorrectly. To then programmatically update their Transform (e.g., move them, rotate them based on game logic, or apply physics), I need to ensure that the Transform values I set align with RealityKit's Y-up system, even though the original model data was authored in a Z-up context. My questions are: What is the recommended transformation process (e.g., using simd_quatf or simd_float4x4) to convert a Transform that was conceptually defined in a Z-up coordinate system to RealityKit's Y-up coordinate system? Specifically, when I have a Transform (or its translation, rotation, scale components) from a Z-up context, how should I apply this to a RealityKit Entity so it appears and behaves correctly in a Y-up world? Are there any existing convenience APIs or helper functions within RealityKit, simd, or other Apple frameworks that simplify this Z-up to Y-up Transform conversion process? Or is a manual application of a transformation quaternion (e.g., simd_quatf(angle: -.pi / 2, axis: [1, 0, 0])) the standard approach? Any guidance, code examples, or best practices from those who have faced similar challenges would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

ARMeshAnchor Data with RealityView
I want to use SwiftUI and RealityView to get AR scene understanding data (ARMeshAnchor) on iOS devices with LiDAR. The only way we can do that is by using ARSession (unless there is another way). However in previous iOS 18 builds there was this function: https://developer.apple.com/documentation/realitykit/spatialtrackingsession/run(_:session:arconfiguration:) , which worked with SpatialTrackingSession and a custom ARSession together. This function in the the latest iOS and Xcode has since been removed in the RealityKit framework but still there on documentation. I also wanted to get ARFaceAnchor data which I still cannot get without ARSession, the closest I can get is by using: let target = AnchoringComponent.Target.face let anchoringComponent = AnchoringComponent(target, trackingMode: .predicted) entity = Entity() entity!.components.set(anchoringComponent) But I still can't find a way to get the current frame (ARFrame) or the anchors ([ARAnchor]) in the view. Alternatively if I use if I use this function: https://developer.apple.com/documentation/realitykit/spatialtrackingsession/run(_:) and start the ARSession separately. The session (didUpdate and didAdd) only runs for a few frames before getting interrupted. And if I completely remove SpatialTrackingConfiguration and just run the ARSession. There still is a valid tracked entity for the AnchoringComponent.Target.face component. IF in the configuration for the ARSession I use the ARWorldTrackingConfiguration with face tracking. And I still get updated facial data each frame. But the ARSession didUpdate or didAdd functions don't get called passed the first few frames. Interestingly if I switch the RealityViewCameraContent.RealityViewCamera to .virtual. I get ARMeshAnchor and ARFaceAnchor data, but no camera feed (as expected). This with or without SpatialTrackingConfiguration. My overarching question is what is the proper way to access ARMeshAnchors and other ARAnchors created by the system and track them live while also using SwiftUI. Request to restore full ICC profile support (LUT-based display profiles) in macOS ColorSync
Dear Apple Color Management Team, I’m a professional visual creator working on color-critical photo and graphic projects using macOS (currently 26.1 Tahoe). In recent macOS releases, LUT-based ICC display profiles (such as XYZ LUT + Matrix types generated by DisplayCAL or professional spectrophotometers) can no longer be installed or activated via ColorSync. This limitation significantly affects professional workflows in photography, graphic design, prepress, and video color grading — fields that rely on precise display profiling. The current workaround (converting LUT profiles to simple shaper/matrix ICC v2) results in less accurate tone response and color reproduction, particularly in the dark range and wide-gamut displays. I kindly request Apple to restore or re-enable the ability to install and use ICC v2/v4 LUT-based display profiles under ColorSync, as was possible on macOS Monterey and Ventura. This would allow professionals to continue using trusted calibration tools such as DisplayCAL, X-Rite i1Profiler, and Calibrite Profiler to achieve accurate color management. macOS is widely used in professional creative industries, and restoring this feature would be a huge help for countless photographers, designers, and colorists. Thank you for your attention and commitment to professional users. Best regards, Richárd Deutsch Professional Photographer https://riccio.hu/ MacBook Pro (M4 Pro, macOS 26.1)

Slow compilation
Hi, I am working with a large project. We are compiling each material to its own .metallib. They all include many common files full of inline functions. Finally we link it all together at the end with a single big pathtrace kernel. Everything works as expected, however the compile times have gotten completely out of hand and it takes multiple minutes to compile at runtime (to native code). I have gathered that I can do this offline by using metal-tt however if I am wondering if there is a way to reduce the compile times in such a scenario, and how to investigate what the root cause of the problem is. I suspect it could have to do with the fact that every materials metallib contains duplications of all the inline functions. Any ideas on how to profile and debug this? Thanks, Rasmus

Skybox for iOS/swiftUI not working
I have tried every combination of suggestions to get a skybox to appear. Using swiftUI, realityKit and iOS. Non immersive environment. Does anyone have code that works to display a skybox. When i use a do/catch loop i get environmentResource not found. I have checked the syntax, ensured the folder is referencing the target, used the same name for the folder as the file, the file is a .hdr (i assume this is supported), i have moved the file folder to the top level - no change.

Request: Allow Game Mode to be enabled locally for non-game App Store categories
Hi Apple team, Game Mode was introduced in iOS 18. To activate Game Mode, an app must include specific key-value pairs in its *.plist and be categorized as a "Game" on the App Store. My app (https://apps.apple.com/us/app/voidlink/id6747717070) works primarily as a self-hosted game streaming (PC->iPhone/iPad) client. Game Mode provides clear benefits in terms of latency and frame rate stability, but it can currently only be activated when running via Xcode or TestFlight. I am an individual iOS developer based in China, where an additional government license is required for apps to be listed under the "Game" category on the App Store. Obtaining such a license is very difficult for independent developers, so my app has been categorized under "Utilities" instead.(If move the app to game category, it will disappear from Chinese App Store immediately) Expectation / Suggestion: Please consider making Game Mode available as a local, user-controllable option on iOS18/26+, such as through a system “App Pool” where users can choose which apps to enable Game Mode for, regardless of App Store category. This would greatly benefit use cases like streaming clients, benchmarking tools, and remote play utilities, without requiring developers to reclassify their apps as “Games” on App Store.

RealityView content scale factor
Hi, following the recent deprecation of SceneKit, I'm trying to move a couple of my SceneKit projects to RealityKit. One thing I can't seem to find is how to change the content scale factor when using a RealityView in SwiftUI. It was really easy to do in SceneKit with just a SCNView property, and it seems that it's also possible when using ARView, but I can't find a way to do it with a RealityView. Maybe it's a SwiftUI limitation?

Feature Request: Support .reality File Export in Reality Composer Pro for Mac
I am an AR developer working on Apple Silicon Macs. Currently, Reality Composer Pro does not allow exporting .reality files, and Reality Composer (classic) is not available for Apple Silicon. This creates a gap in the workflow for ARKit/RealityKit developers who need interactive .reality files for use in Xcode projects. Having the ability to export .reality files directly from Reality Composer Pro on Mac would greatly streamline development and enable a fully native workflow on modern Macs. Alternatively, bringing Reality Composer (classic) to Apple Silicon would also resolve this issue. I have submitted this as a feature request via Feedback Assistant (FB17900386). I encourage others with similar needs to reply or submit feedback as well. Thank you!

Multiply exr lightmap in Reality Composer Pro Shader Graph
I’m trying to use EXR lightmaps to overlay baked lighting on top of a base texture in the RCP Shader Graph. When I multiply an EXR image set to Image(float) with an 8-bit base texture, the output becomes Image(float). I can’t connect that to the BaseColor input on the UnlitSurface node, since it only accepts Color3f. I expected to be able to use a Convert node between the Multiply node and the BaseColor input, but when I do that, the result becomes black and white instead of the expected outcome: the EXR multiplied with the base texture using a baseline value of 1, where values below 1 in the EXR would darken the base texture and values above 1 would brighten it. Is there any documentation on how to properly overlay a 32-bit EXR lightmap in the RCP Shader Graph, or is the black-and-white output from the Convert node a bug?

RealityView session not terminating when leaving view on iOS
Everything works fine, except when tapping the navigation Back link and returning to the previous view, the AR session inside RealityView does not terminate. The green dot camera indicator stays on, it is still scanning the environment, and if the package has audio in it, the audio will still play, albeit extremely panned on the right channel. I have no issues terminating QuickLook or ARSCNView. I have a simple NavigationLink opening the RealityView... NavigationLink(destination: MyRealityView()) { Text("Open AR") } struct MyRealityView : View { var body: some View { RealityView { content in // Create horizontal plane anchor for the content let anchor = AnchorEntity(.plane(.horizontal, classification: .floor, minimumBounds: [0.5,0.5])) let scene = await loadEntity(named: "Scene") // Add model to anchor anchor.addChild(scene!) content.add(anchor) // View Settings content.camera = .spatialTracking } placeholder: { ProgressView() } .onDisappear { //print("RealityView is disappearing. Cleanup actions here.") } .edgesIgnoringSafeArea(.all) // Activate onTap from Reality Composer Pro .gesture(TapGesture().targetedToAnyEntity().onEnded { value in _ = value.entity.applyTapForBehaviors() }) }} I have experimented with several ways of trying to close it, and I can't figure it out. I have tried State variables and custom Back buttons. I was also trying to working with pause(), but I can't seem to get that to function either. Anyone else have this issue or know of a solution? What am I missing?

Subdivision shows in RealityComposerPro but not when loaded in Simulator
Hello, I am trying to use the subdivision mesh rendering option. I can see it working in RealityComposerPro: But not when loading asset and displaying in Simulator: Using this code: import SwiftUI import RealityKit import RealityKitContent struct AirspaceView: View { // MARK: - VIEW BODY var body: some View { RealityView { content in if let a = try? await Entity(named: "Models/Test/Test.usdc", in: realityKitContentBundle) { content.add(a) } } } } Any ideas why?

Game Center breaks RealityView world tracking
Has anyone come across the issue that setting GKLocalPlayer.local.authenticateHandler breaks a RealityView's world tracking on iOS / iPadOS 18 beta 5? I'm in the process of upgrading my app to make use of the much appreciated RealityView unification, using RealityView not only on visionOS but now also on iOS and iPadOS. In my RealityView, I enable world tracking on iOS like this: content.camera = .worldTracking However, device position and orientation were ignored (the camera remained static) and there was no camera pass-through. Then I discovered that the issue disappeared when I remove the line GKLocalPlayer.local.authenticateHandler = { viewController, error in // ... some more code ... } So I filed FB14731139 and hope that it will be resolved before the release of iOS / iPadOS 18.
