Hi everyone,
I'm working on an NFC-related app using CoreNFC with APDU commands to read and write tags. I’ve encountered an issue when trying to handle the scenario where the user cancels the NFC session.
Here’s what’s happening:
When a user cancels the NFC session manually (e.g., by tapping "Cancel"), I see an error log indicating tagReaderSession|userCancelled.
However, when I explicitly call session.invalidate(errorMessage: "No NFC tag found") in my code to handle a scenario where no tag is detected, the session still shows the error as userCancelled instead of my custom error message.
This behavior is confusing both in terms of debugging and for providing feedback to users, as I expect my custom message to appear instead of the generic "user cancelled" message.
func tagReaderSessionDidBecomeActive(_ session: NFCTagReaderSession) {
// Session becomes active
}
func tagReaderSession(_ session: NFCTagReaderSession, didDetect tags: [NFCTag]) {
// Handle tag detection logic
}
func tagReaderSession(_ session: NFCTagReaderSession, didInvalidateWithError error: Error) {
print("Session invalidated with error: \(error.localizedDescription)")
}
func handleNoTagDetected(session: NFCTagReaderSession) {
session.invalidate(errorMessage: "No NFC tag found")
}
I call handleNoTagDetected(session:) explicitly when no tag is detected, expecting the custom error message to show. However, the system still shows the cancellation error.
Has anyone else experienced this behavior? Is this the intended behavior for CoreNFC, or am I missing something in my implementation?
Any guidance would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

Hi,
First post and I am a total newbie when it comes to Ipads & Macs... And also this forum, so sorry if I post in wrong section.
My son use Ipad at school and they use Swift Playground there.
To be able to do some programming at home, I have set up Vmware with Sequoia 15.1.
I installed the app Swift Playground and try to run the playground Get Started with Code and some other education playgrounds.
If I understand correctly, it should be some landscape and a figure on the canvas... For me it is only a blue area.
I installed XCode, but could not figure out how to run the learning examples there. Tips? Is it possible to run the education playgrounds there?
I removed Swift Playgrounds and installed it again, same issue.
I also installed IOS 18.1 (?) but I am not sure it is needed.
Any suggestion of how I can get contents to show on the canvas? Except of bying an Ipad. ;)

Hi everyone,
I’m encountering a crash in my app and need help understanding what’s causing it and how to resolve it.
As stated in the crash report, the issue is caused by exceeding the system-wide per-process port limit. Can you tell me how to locate and identify why this is happening?
Below are the full report of the crash log:

hello developers,
First priority I couldn't find a proper title for the question :(
The reason why I open a topic here is not to find the answer by direct point shooting; My goal is what do Apple, Developer, Companies and Devops teams think and comments about the subject I'm going to ask here?
We use Jenkins as the Devops CI/CD tool at our company, and in Macos/Apple/iOS development, we use a lot of Mac Mini devices. Since we build/compilers on a project-based, version-based basis, we cannot get 100% efficiency from our devices. (For example, because the dependencies of a project are different from other projects; we dedicate only 1 Mac Mini to that project. (As the dependecys of the projects are too many and large, the migration process is very difficult for us, the cost of moving to a lower-level Mac Mini device is high / but this is just an example))
While researching, I saw that there is no docker container image for MacOs X (enterprise or legal) and I know about the Apple EULA. (For virtualization, Apple hardware must be used as a basis. Because the MacOs system is paid for on a device-based basis.)
What I want to ask here is can I find or create a MacOs docker container image legally?
How is the structure of other companies in their CI processes?
If I install MacOs with more than one VMware/VirtualBox on Mac Mini, What harm could it do me in Jenkins? (I'm curious about people's comments on this.)

I have 2 swift packages and I try to use stirng catalog to manage your localizations
I would like to use some specific keys in these packages and some common ones (e.g. "ok_button_tittle")
Problem statement
I really don't like the idea of creating separate (but the same) translations in these packages
I have tried using something like
String(
localized: "ok_button_title",
table: "Localizable",
bundle: .main,
comment: "Ok button title"
)
This does use translations from the main bundle, however this does not automatically create the keys in string catalog
Question
Is there any possibility to reuse the translations from the main bundle?
Maybe there is a hack to make the keys appear automatically in the correct bundle? Or is it a bug?

I'm using M1pro and have successfully installed Numpy with Accelerate following, and it really speedup my programs. I also ran np.test() to check the correctness and every test passed.
However, I can't install Scipy with Accelerate, since the official document said Accelerate has a LAPACK of too old version. I can't even find a scipy that can pass scipy.test(). I tried the codes below:
conda install numpy 'libblas=*=*accelerate'
conda install scipy
np.test() as fails, sp.test() can't even finish
conda install numpy 'libblas=*=*openblas'
conda install scipy
Both np.test() and sp.test() can finish, but with many failures. I believe the bugs are due to Conda.
pip install --no-binary :all: --no-use-pep517 numpy
pip install scipy
np.test() has no failure and went fast, sp.test() uses OpenBLAS and has 3 failures. This is the best version I have found.
So my question is: can we find a reliable version of scipy on M1? Considering the popularity of scipy, I think it's not a high-living expectation.
And a question for Apple: is there really a plan to upgrade the LAPACK in Accelerate?

Hello developers,
I've been building out my platform, mostly working on the Android side of a flutter app. Today I decided to make sure the iOS version wasn't getting too far behind, but when I attempted to build the app I began running into an issue I've never seen before, and after spending about 8 hours trying to figure this out, I feel like I'm more lost than when I began.
The error when trying to build:
Uncategorized (Xcode): Could not resolve package dependencies:
downloaded archive of binary target 'grpc' from
'https://dl.google.com/firebase/ios/bin/grpc/1.65.1/rc1/grpc.zip' does not
contain a binary artifact.
fatalError
This is a flutter app which uses firebase as a backend. I've been building with flutter/ios for about 6 years now and have never encountered this, and after searching google it appears that no one else aside from 2 people have either.
I found that there's a github repo which contains this dependency as well, so I was going to try to modify the URL from the google.com url to the github url, but I'm not surewhere I would look to change this reference.. or if this is even possible.
Does anyone have any experience with this error?
Hi
I am building a framework.
In the past, if I create a framework project
[myFrameworkName.framework] file was created in the 'Products' folder.
But my xcode doesn't create 'Products' folder.
It also doesn't create [myFrameworkName.framework].
Can I make [myFrameworkName.framework] file?
I do not speak English well So I am using a translator.
thanks.
We enrolled with a DUNS number 2 weeks ago but account still says in Review.
How long should we expect to wait for our Dev account?
TIA.

Hello,
Has anyone used Sentry with Xcode Cloud? How are you uploading dSYM files? One way is fastlane but Xcode Cloud doesn't come with Fastlane preinstalled, the other is sentry-cli but the same issue, it's not preinstalled.
Hey, Everyone.
I am new to Apple Developer and want to enroll in the program to publish my app in the AppStore.
I logged into my personal Apple account on the developer app and tried to enroll but I got the error message: "There may be an issue with your account that needs to be resolved before you can continue. Please contact support."
I click on the contact support button and I explain the situation.
The developer support team gets back to me telling me that I need to turn on "twofactor authentication" I've had this on the entire time, but I check settings and remove it and turn it back on.
After this I tried enrolling again but got the same error message. I've contacted support again explaining the situation but I've not gotten a response yet.
My question is, Has anyone else encountered this problem? and if so, How did you solve it?
Thanks in advance,
Lars A
After several years' lapse, I am coming back into app development for iPhone. Here's what I did:
Renewed my membership to Apple developer
I created a wildcard identifier, "me.joymaker.*"
I created a certificate
Using Xcode, I introduced my newest iPhone (a 12 mini) to Apple developer. Unlike my older models, this one has a UDID with a hyphen in it. To get it to take the UDID I had to remove the-and then paste the remaining continuous number into the field. But then it accepted it, and showed it back to me complete with hyphen.
I created a development provisioning profile using that certificate and ID, checking the box that said "Select all", so that every device registered to my account was included.
Using Xcode, I tried to upload the provisioning profile to the phone.
OOPS. Xcode replies, "Failed to install one or more provisioning profiles on the device. Please ensure the provisioning profile is configured for this device." Yes, I am very that it was!
There was an older identifier in the account, left over from years ago, named "XCode: Wildcard AppID", with an identifier of simply '*'. I tried building a provisioning profile with that one. Same results.
Now what? How to diagnose, how to pursue this?
BTW, although XCode sees this phone without difficulty, Music and Finder don’t. Relevant?? See this question for more details.
I have received email about your development certificate has been revoked, but couldn't identify who did that, due to this revocation one of our enterprise application stopped working. So posting here to seek some suggestion on following
1.) Identification of Revoking Party: Though I have already raised a support ticket to Apple still waiting for their reply. Is it possible for Apple to send logs or account activity logs that from which account or who did the revocation?
2.) How much does Apple take to reply to the support tickets.
3.) No one else received email in my development team. Is it because the certificate which I created is revoked that's the reason only I have received email?
4.) May I know what are the other scenarios that certificate can be revoked other than a human error?
5.) Is there a way for us to internally monitor activity within our developer account, such as identifying who has been actively logged in and updating certificates?
Today when I went to add a package via SPM in Xcode 16.0, the "Recently Used Loading..." spinner ran and never stopped. I could not add any packages. The packages I am loading are remote and not from my own repo. I did a "Refresh Account" via the right-click which then shows items in my own hosted repo (for both Bitbucket Cloud and Github), but "Recently Used" just loads forever and there is no way to add a package.
I tried all of the usual cache deleting to no positive outcome. I saw that others had to reinstall Xcode which I am loath to do. I wound up executing defaults delete com.apple.dt.Xcode which of course made me lose all of my settings, but that did correct the problem. At least I thought it did. However, after getting everything reset, it stopped working again with the above issue.
In short, I found the issue is with Bitbucket Cloud. If I remove this account from Xcode, SPM works as normal. Add it back (all credentials are 100% fine) and I can no longer use SPM.
Does anyone know why Bitbucket Cloud is now breaking SPM and more importantly what can be done to have this account but also have a functioning SPM?
Hello, I created my Apple Developer account and it was authorized, but when I went ahead and paid $99, my card was not charged (I've used two different credit cards, all in my name) and I still haven't been successful. Has anyone else experienced the same thing and what would be the best way to resolve this?
NOTE: I receive an email and proof that the purchase was successful, but nothing has changed.
I’m working in the app playground and want to add my usdz file but when i drag drop the file to my main folder i cannot add target to it which leads to a resource not found error while I build my app. It was working on a normal xcode project but while transitioning to app playground it is not working. How can I fix this issue?

I'm trying to enrol in the apple developer program for the first time. When I sign in and attempt to enrol, it says “Your enrollment could not be completed.” - I am over the Age of 18 in Australia. My account is attached to a family account if that matters, but I am an Adult in the family. As far as I am concerned I have not done anything illegitmate on my account. My AppleID has always paid ontime etc.
Just spoke to someone on the phone at Apple Developer Support. Firstly they were very unfriendly, don't know their name and sounded like they didn't want to be there. I said what my issue was, they had a look at my account and said "It says there is an issue with this apple ID and Support cannot be provided within Apple Developer Program for this AppleID" - I asked if this could be escalated and she audibly sighed and said "No" - I said may I speak to a supervisor - Spoke to the Supervisor and they said they can't help me and it just says We can't provide Apple Developer support to this AppleID and he kept repeating this. - I have not done anything illigetimate on my AppleID as far as I know. He also said can't verify my identity, even though I have never verified my identity.
What do I do?
