Issue with CBConnectPeripheralOptionNotifyOnConnectionKey Not Triggering Alert When Reconnecting in Background
I'm working with CBConnectPeripheralOptionNotifyOnConnectionKey, and my understanding is that it should trigger an alert when a reconnection occurs while the central app is in the background. To test this, I've set up two separate iPhone devices—one acting as the peripheral and the other as the central. The process I'm using is as follows: The central app connects to the peripheral app. I then switch to a different app on the central device, which causes the central app to go into the background. I manually disconnect and reconnect Bluetooth on the central device, which should trigger the peripheral app to reestablish the connection. However, despite the central app being in the background, I don't see the expected alert on the central side. The connection reestablishes correctly, but no alert appears. I would appreciate any insights on what might be causing this issue or if I'm misunderstanding the behavior of CBConnectPeripheralOptionNotifyOnConnectionKey. I'd be happy to provide more specific code or logs if needed. Thanks in advance! I’m relatively new to Core Bluetooth and feel like I’ve explored most of the options, but I’m still encountering this issue.

Xcode cannot deploy to Apple Watch SE even once
Got a Watch SE recently only to find out that I can't deploy apps to it from Xcode even once. I always get the message "Connecting to Watch" and "Reconnecting to Watch". Tried with Xcode 16 and then with 16.2. Same result. For countless times, I have tried every possible solution posted on this forum and elsewhere but to no avail. Filed a feedback, no reply yet from Apple. Looks like something is seriously broken. Please fix this. FB16122816

The file .xcworkspace does not exist
I have an xCode project called Vision + CoreML I wanted add some charts into it so I started installing cocoapad for the first time I followed all the steps from installing the latest ruby version to running pod install The critical .xcworkspace had been never created no matter how many times pod install was run. It is nowhere to be found. Could anyone advise me on what went wrong here? Here are some files used to generate Podfile platform :ios, '15.0' target 'Vision + CoreML' do use_frameworks! # Comment the next line if you don't want to use dynamic frameworks pod 'Alamofire', '~> 5.6' # Pods for Vision + CoreML pod 'Charts' end and here is the command prompt output ls MacBook-Pro-3:NotAbgabe myusername$ ls App Main View Configuration Models Documentation Podfile Extensions README.md Image Predictor Vision+Core-ML.xcodeproj LICENSE I ran all the commands under the NotAbgabe folder. Not sure if xcworkspace is hidden somewhere between the files

Development and testing on different machines
Hi developers, I'm searching for a kind of way of working to develop my apps on a different machine than testing and final building. For development I have a MacBook Pro m4 and for testing I want to outsource this to a Mac mini m1. I was searching for a solution and also contacted the support, but the answer wasn't really helpful. Any ideas how to setup this configuration to automate this kind of tests? Thanks a lot!

Is "remotepairingd" Xcode-related?
Is remotepairingd part of Xcode? It seems to be stuck using 119% CPU. This may have started when I recently paired my new Apple Watch with Xcode - or maybe that is a coincidence. The console is full of: error 16:40:26.237601+0000 remotepairingd socket-1: No more data can be received, connection was closed

Why are asynchronous tasks not executed in Xcode Canvas, and why do they only work in the simulator?
Hi everyone, I'm new to Xcode and iOS development. I've encountered an issue where asynchronous tasks seem to not execute in Xcode Canvas, but they work fine in the simulator. Can anyone explain why this might be happening or what I could do to fix it? Thank you for your help! struct PartnerProfileView: View { @State private var showSheet: Bool = true let partnerName: String var body: some View { ZStack(alignment: .bottom) { Color("EFEFF4_0F2534") ScrollView(showsIndicators: false) { headerSection() infoSection() .padding(.bottom, 5) sectionTitle("Other Skills") skillsGrid() sectionTitle("···") dynamicsSection() } .frame(maxWidth: .infinity, maxHeight: .infinity) CustomTabBar() } .navigationBarHidden(true) .ignoresSafeArea(edges: .all) .onAppear { print("PartnerProfileView received") Task { await BottomCustomPopup().present() } } .onChange(of: showSheet) { oldState, newValue in print("oldState \(oldState)") print("newValue \(newValue)") } } } //@MainActor struct BottomCustomPopup: BottomPopup { var body: some View { HStack(spacing: 0) { Text("Hello World") Spacer() Button(action: { Task { await dismissLastPopup() }}) { Text("Dismiss") } } .padding(.vertical, 20) .padding(.leading, 24) .padding(.trailing, 16) } }

Unsupported option '-mno-thumb' in Xcode 16
I'm trying to compile my project, which worked fine before upgrading to Xcode 16, and I'm getting error clang: error: unsupported option '-mno-thumb' for target 'arm64-apple-ios18.0-simulator'. It appears to a similar issue as this BoringSSL-GRPC issue. The fix from StackOverflow was to automatically strip the flag in the Podfile using CocoaPods, but I'm not using CocoaPods. I've grepped the entire project, and I can't find that flag anywhere in the project. Likewise, the full error message doesn't even include -mno-thumb. Does anyone know how I can determine where this flag is being added, so I can remove it? I've tried this in both Xcode 16.1 and Xcode 16.2 on MacOS Sonoma and Sequoia 15.2. Problem with simulator
When I try to run my project on the simulator, it tells me there is a bug. It is not in the code I wrote, but I believe in the compiler. It would work perfectly, say the build succeeded, but the phone turns white and stops there. I don't know how to debunk it, what to do! Picture of what happens with the phone: Picture of the debugging area:

Empty canvas in Swift Playgrounds Mac 15.1
Hi, First post and I am a total newbie when it comes to Ipads & Macs... And also this forum, so sorry if I post in wrong section. My son use Ipad at school and they use Swift Playground there. To be able to do some programming at home, I have set up Vmware with Sequoia 15.1. I installed the app Swift Playground and try to run the playground Get Started with Code and some other education playgrounds. If I understand correctly, it should be some landscape and a figure on the canvas... For me it is only a blue area. I installed XCode, but could not figure out how to run the learning examples there. Tips? Is it possible to run the education playgrounds there? I removed Swift Playgrounds and installed it again, same issue. I also installed IOS 18.1 (?) but I am not sure it is needed. Any suggestion of how I can get contents to show on the canvas? Except of bying an Ipad. ;)
