Vision Framework Causes EXC_BREAKPOINT Error in Xcode App Playground (.swiftpm) File
I’m trying to use the Vision framework in a Swift Playground to perform face detection on an image. The following code works perfectly when I run it in a regular Xcode project, but in an App Playground, I get the error: Thread 12: EXC_BREAKPOINT (code=1, subcode=0x10321c2a8) Here's the code: import SwiftUI import Vision struct ContentView: View { var body: some View { VStack { Text("Face Detection") .font(.largeTitle) .padding() Image("me") .resizable() .aspectRatio(contentMode: .fit) .onAppear { detectFace() } } } func detectFace() { guard let cgImage = UIImage(named: "me")?.cgImage else { return } let request = VNDetectFaceRectanglesRequest { request, error in if let results = request.results as? [VNFaceObservation] { print("Detected \(results.count) face(s).") for face in results { print("Bounding Box: \(face.boundingBox)") } } else { print("No faces detected.") } } let handler = VNImageRequestHandler(cgImage: cgImage, options: [:]) do { try handler.perform([request]) // This line causes the error. } catch { print("Failed to perform Vision request: \(error)") } } } The error occurs on this line: try handler.perform([request]) Details: This code runs fine in a normal Xcode project (.xcodeproj). I'm using an App Playground instead (.swiftpm). The image is being included in the .xcassets folder. Is there any way I can mitigate this issue? Please do not recommend switching to .xcodeproj, as I am making a submission for Apple's Swift Student Challenge, and they require that I use .swiftpm.

Navigation View
How can I add navigation to an existing program. I coded this as per youtube video: var body: some View { NavigationView { VStack { NavigationLink(destination: viewdetail()) { Text("click") .frame(width: 300, height: 150, alignment: .center) .background(Color.gray) .foregroundColor(.black) } } } It doesn't work. If I comment out the rest of the program it works. I have VStacks and HStacks and functions after the navigation code. Please help.

Is "remotepairingd" Xcode-related?
Is remotepairingd part of Xcode? It seems to be stuck using 119% CPU. This may have started when I recently paired my new Apple Watch with Xcode - or maybe that is a coincidence. The console is full of: error 16:40:26.237601+0000 remotepairingd socket-1: No more data can be received, connection was closed

Unsupported option '-mno-thumb' in Xcode 16
I'm trying to compile my project, which worked fine before upgrading to Xcode 16, and I'm getting error clang: error: unsupported option '-mno-thumb' for target 'arm64-apple-ios18.0-simulator'. It appears to a similar issue as this BoringSSL-GRPC issue. The fix from StackOverflow was to automatically strip the flag in the Podfile using CocoaPods, but I'm not using CocoaPods. I've grepped the entire project, and I can't find that flag anywhere in the project. Likewise, the full error message doesn't even include -mno-thumb. Does anyone know how I can determine where this flag is being added, so I can remove it? I've tried this in both Xcode 16.1 and Xcode 16.2 on MacOS Sonoma and Sequoia 15.2. The full error log is CompileC /Users/ck/Library/Developer/Xcode/DerivedData/Delta-dwedcmxtirqnkdghmvobshblwrib/Build/Intermediates.noindex/Pods.build/Debug-iphonesimulator/DSDeltaCore.build/Objects-normal/arm64/DSEmulatorBridge.o /Users/ck/Projects/system/Delta/Cores/DSDeltaCore/DSDeltaCore/Bridge/DSEmulatorBridge.mm normal arm64 objective-c++ com.apple.compilers.llvm.clang.1_0.compiler (in target 'DSDeltaCore' from project 'Pods') cd /Users/ck/Projects/system/Delta/Pods Using response file: /Users/ck/Library/Developer/Xcode/DerivedData/Delta-dwedcmxtirqnkdghmvobshblwrib/Build/Intermediates.noindex/Pods.build/Debug-iphonesimulator/DSDeltaCore.build/Objects-normal/arm64/af3fcb34312c57c0f52879cdce924b91-common-args.resp /Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/Developer/Toolchains/XcodeDefault.xctoolchain/usr/bin/clang -x objective-c++ -ivfsstatcache /Users/ck/Library/Developer/Xcode/DerivedData/SDKStatCaches.noindex/iphonesimulator18.2-22C146-07b28473f605e47e75261259d3ef3b5a.sdkstatcache -fmessage-length\=0 -fdiagnostics-show-note-include-stack -fmacro-backtrace-limit\=0 -fno-color-diagnostics -fmodules-prune-interval\=86400 -fmodules-prune-after\=345600 -fbuild-session-file\=/Users/ck/Library/Developer/Xcode/DerivedData/ModuleCache.noindex/Session.modulevalidation -fmodules-validate-once-per-build-session -Wnon-modular-include-in-framework-module -Werror\=non-modular-include-in-framework-module -Wno-trigraphs -Wno-missing-field-initializers -Wno-missing-prototypes -Werror\=return-type -Wdocumentation -Wunreachable-code -Wno-implicit-atomic-properties -Werror\=deprecated-objc-isa-usage -Wno-objc-interface-ivars -Werror\=objc-root-class -Wno-arc-repeated-use-of-weak -Wimplicit-retain-self -Wno-non-virtual-dtor -Wno-overloaded-virtual -Wno-exit-time-destructors -Wduplicate-method-match -Wno-missing-braces -Wparentheses -Wswitch -Wunused-function -Wno-unused-label -Wno-unused-parameter -Wunused-variable -Wunused-value -Wempty-body -Wuninitialized -Wconditional-uninitialized -Wno-unknown-pragmas -Wno-shadow -Wno-four-char-constants -Wno-conversion -Wconstant-conversion -Wint-conversion -Wbool-conversion -Wenum-conversion -Wno-float-conversion -Wnon-literal-null-conversion -Wobjc-literal-conversion -Wshorten-64-to-32 -Wno-newline-eof -Wno-selector -Wno-strict-selector-match -Wundeclared-selector -Wdeprecated-implementations -Wno-c++11-extensions -Wno-implicit-fallthrough -fstrict-aliasing -Wprotocol -Wdeprecated-declarations -Winvalid-offsetof -Wno-sign-conversion -Winfinite-recursion -Wmove -Wcomma -Wblock-capture-autoreleasing -Wstrict-prototypes -Wrange-loop-analysis -Wno-semicolon-before-method-body -Wunguarded-availability -index-store-path /Users/ck/Library/Developer/Xcode/DerivedData/Delta-dwedcmxtirqnkdghmvobshblwrib/Index.noindex/DataStore @/Users/ck/Library/Developer/Xcode/DerivedData/Delta-dwedcmxtirqnkdghmvobshblwrib/Build/Intermediates.noindex/Pods.build/Debug-iphonesimulator/DSDeltaCore.build/Objects-normal/arm64/af3fcb34312c57c0f52879cdce924b91-common-args.resp -w -Xanalyzer -analyzer-disable-all-checks -include /Users/ck/Projects/system/Delta/Pods/Target\ Support\ Files/DSDeltaCore/DSDeltaCore-prefix.pch -MMD -MT dependencies -MF /Users/ck/Library/Developer/Xcode/DerivedData/Delta-dwedcmxtirqnkdghmvobshblwrib/Build/Intermediates.noindex/Pods.build/Debug-iphonesimulator/DSDeltaCore.build/Objects-normal/arm64/DSEmulatorBridge.d --serialize-diagnostics /Users/ck/Library/Developer/Xcode/DerivedData/Delta-dwedcmxtirqnkdghmvobshblwrib/Build/Intermediates.noindex/Pods.build/Debug-iphonesimulator/DSDeltaCore.build/Objects-normal/arm64/DSEmulatorBridge.dia -c /Users/ck/Projects/system/Delta/Cores/DSDeltaCore/DSDeltaCore/Bridge/DSEmulatorBridge.mm -o /Users/ck/Library/Developer/Xcode/DerivedData/Delta-dwedcmxtirqnkdghmvobshblwrib/Build/Intermediates.noindex/Pods.build/Debug-iphonesimulator/DSDeltaCore.build/Objects-normal/arm64/DSEmulatorBridge.o -index-unit-output-path /Pods.build/Debug-iphonesimulator/DSDeltaCore.build/Objects-normal/arm64/DSEmulatorBridge.o clang: error: unsupported option '-mno-thumb' for target 'arm64-apple-ios18.0-simulator'

Assistance Required for Accessing Non-Secure HTTP API in Ionic Build App
Dear Team, I was previously able to access a non-secure HTTP API in my Ionic-built app. However, I am now encountering an error where the API requests are being rejected. Interestingly, this API works perfectly on Android and web platforms without any issues. As part of my troubleshooting, I have already added the following lines to my Info.plist file: <key>NSAppTransportSecurity</key> <dict> <key>NSAllowsArbitraryLoads</key> <true/> </dict> Could you kindly suggest any alternative solutions or additional settings required to access this HTTP API? Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Mozib

Empty canvas in Swift Playgrounds Mac 15.1
Hi, First post and I am a total newbie when it comes to Ipads & Macs... And also this forum, so sorry if I post in wrong section. My son use Ipad at school and they use Swift Playground there. To be able to do some programming at home, I have set up Vmware with Sequoia 15.1. I installed the app Swift Playground and try to run the playground Get Started with Code and some other education playgrounds. If I understand correctly, it should be some landscape and a figure on the canvas... For me it is only a blue area. I installed XCode, but could not figure out how to run the learning examples there. Tips? Is it possible to run the education playgrounds there? I removed Swift Playgrounds and installed it again, same issue. I also installed IOS 18.1 (?) but I am not sure it is needed. Any suggestion of how I can get contents to show on the canvas? Except of bying an Ipad. ;)

Adding Fonts in Xcode 16.1 Causes XIB Files to Malfunction
I encountered a problem when adding a new custom font in Xcode 16.1. After including the font and opening my XIB files, the interface preview became blank and the application seemed to experience a heavy load. To troubleshoot, I removed all custom fonts, and everything returned to normal functionality. However, even after reinstalling Xcode, the issue persisted when adding the font again. The XIB preview loaded correctly: The XIB preview turned blank and became unresponsive:

How to Contact Apple Support for App Reinstatement?
Hello everyone, I recently submitted a request through the "Contact Us" section to reinstate my app. It's been over a week, but I haven't received any response—not even a confirmation email. Has anyone experienced this issue? Is there a more direct way to get in touch with Apple Support to resolve this matter? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Cannot assign build target to usdz file
I’m working in the app playground and want to add my usdz file but when i drag drop the file to my main folder i cannot add target to it which leads to a resource not found error while I build my app. It was working on a normal xcode project but while transitioning to app playground it is not working. How can I fix this issue?

BLE Requirements for MacOS
I am working on a hobby project to develop my own Bluetooth peripheral. The platform for this peripheral is a Espressif ESP32-based TinyS3 from Unexpected Maker. I have defined the bluetooth device & service information using custom UUIDs. Using nRF Connect or Light Blue mobile applications I can discover and connect to my device. I receive confirmation of this BLE connection and modifications to the my BLE Service from my code on my TinyS3. I am attempting to write a custom software program that uses the onboard Mac Bluetooth hardware to detect this device. I am technically using Qt's Bluetooth infrastructure via PySide6 [python]. Despite being able to see my device in the mobile BLE applications, my software as well as the Mac Bluetooth System Services does not detect my BLE device. I am broadcasting advertising messages at a 250ms rate, and since they are findable by these mobile applications, I am wondering if MacOS has specific requirements for advertising data for what it considers as a "legitimate/ connectable" device. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Create C++ static library with Swift interoperability for iOS. How?
Hello all! My application written with C++ for iOS. Want to make some functionality in static library for the purpose of reuse it in different C++ projects. Want to make universal library for using StoreKit2. Global idea is to wrap StoreKit2 Swift out with CPP interoperability. Now trying to make clear for my self how to create C++ static library with Swift interoperability for iOS in XCode. There are only Objective-C option when you creating static library in XCode for iOS. Is it correct: Create Static Library with Objective-C in XCode Remove all default Objective-C files Add C++ files Add C++/Swift interoperability in build settings Add swift classes Beside all of it some questions: When C++ static library contain Swift code with interoperability will it require some special settings for project (Swift standard lib or some other settings)? Or it could be used like any other C++ libraries? What is the optimal build settings in this case to reduce dependencies when using it different projects? Is there any examples of the same approach for iOS development?

How to handle a non-consumable in app purchase when SKPaymentQueue is deprecated

Issue with CBConnectPeripheralOptionNotifyOnConnectionKey Not Triggering Alert When Reconnecting in Background
I'm working with CBConnectPeripheralOptionNotifyOnConnectionKey, and my understanding is that it should trigger an alert when a reconnection occurs while the central app is in the background. To test this, I've set up two separate iPhone devices—one acting as the peripheral and the other as the central. The process I'm using is as follows: The central app connects to the peripheral app. I then switch to a different app on the central device, which causes the central app to go into the background. I manually disconnect and reconnect Bluetooth on the central device, which should trigger the peripheral app to reestablish the connection. However, despite the central app being in the background, I don't see the expected alert on the central side. The connection reestablishes correctly, but no alert appears. I would appreciate any insights on what might be causing this issue or if I'm misunderstanding the behavior of CBConnectPeripheralOptionNotifyOnConnectionKey. I'd be happy to provide more specific code or logs if needed. Thanks in advance! I’m relatively new to Core Bluetooth and feel like I’ve explored most of the options, but I’m still encountering this issue.
