I made a browser plugin to do something Apple should've done themselves.
This browser extension is a doc reading enhancer for the Apple Developer website. It supports i18n translation, hover link previews, and bilingual display. Currently, it supports four languages: ja-JP, ko-KR, zh-CN, and zh-TW. It works with Swift/SwiftUI/Foundation modules now, and it's expected to support Swift Test, Swift Charts, UIKit, Swift Playground, and XCode modules by the end of this month. Problem with simulator (Asked again)
I already asked this, although I want to ask again so it boots and gets more people; When I try to run my project on the simulator, it tells me there is a bug. It is not in the code I wrote, but I believe in the compiler. It would work perfectly, say the build succeeded, but the phone turns white and stops there. I don't know how to debunk it, what to do! Swift Compiler Issue?
I've encountered a strange issue with Swift and I wonder if this is a compiler error or if I didn't understand something correctly. The following sample code shows a weird issue (please ignore that the demo code itself would not make that much sense in this form, it's just the version from a big and more complicated project, where this would make more sense): class Test { var data: [String:[String:String]] = [:] func test() { let setValue: ((String, String, String) -> Void) = { [weak self] key, id, value in if self!.data[key] == nil { self!.data[key] = [:] } let oldValue = self!.data[key]![id] if oldValue == nil { self!.data[key]![id] = value } } setValue("0", "1", "2") } } When changing the "data" dictionary through the closure within the "test()" function, everything works as expected until the "if" condition where the oldValue is checked against nil. If I set a break point to this condition, the Xcode debugger tells me that oldValue is nil (which is expected), but the code within the if condition is NOT executed. The comparison oldValue == nil should be be true (because oldValue is actually nil), but the compiler seems to assume something else. But If I do not user "self!" but instead "self?" then it does work as expected and the code within the if condition is executed. What I am missing here? Is this the correct behavior or a compiler bug?

Docker won't run on Sequoia 15.4
I'm on Mac Studio with Apple M1 Max and I recently upgrated to Sequoia 15.4. After that, Docker won't run anymore. I tried almost all proposed solutions on the web to make Docker to work with Sequoia 15.4 (e.g. workaround at GitHub), without success. Because of this, now I'm stuck in all of my development activities. For example, I cannot develop and deploy anymore my projects and applications. What can I make to solve that?

Flutter IOS deep links
Hello all, I am trying to build a Flutter app that supports a link the opens the app. I would like the link to be sent by email, and when clicked I would like to app to open. On android all works fine, but on IOS it doesnt. I currently have: A link that does open the app but doesnt navigate to the correct screnn - it just shows the last screen that app was on. I have tried following the tutorial on https://docs.flutter.dev/cookbook/navigation/set-up-universal-links to the letter but still doesnt work I am using: Flutter 3.22.3 Go Router 14.2.7 Thanks in advance

NSItemProvider make .jpg image to .jpeg
Hi, I'm not sure why but when my fileURL is .jpg file and I drop the file from my app to Finder folders it make the dropped file as .jpeg Is there a way to fix it? Apple 1-Hour Security Feature Keeps Triggering When Registering iPhone (Starlink User)
Hi everyone, I’m hoping someone here can shed some light on what’s going on with Apple’s one-hour security delay when trying to register an iPhone for development use. I’m currently setting up an app build using Expo / EAS and a paid Apple Developer account. Every time I scan the device registration QR code or try to authorise my iPhone as a development device, I get hit with a “security delay — try again in one hour” message. This happens every single time, even if I wait the full hour. The device is the same iPhone I always use, signed in to the same Apple ID, and verified with 2FA. The only thing unusual about my setup is that I’m using Starlink for internet access. Because Starlink uses dynamic IP routing and your exit node changes frequently (depending on which satellite or ground station you’re on), it looks like I’m signing in from a new location each time — sometimes even hundreds of miles apart. It seems that Apple’s security system flags each of these as a “new login” or “new device registration,” then enforces a one-hour safety lockout. That makes it basically impossible to register my device and proceed with iOS builds or testing. Has anyone else run into this problem while using Starlink (or other dynamic-routing connections like VPNs or cellular hotspots)? And if so — is there any known workaround or setting to whitelist a device, stabilise verification, or bypass the repeated one-hour wait? This feels like an over-protective security feature that doesn’t play well with modern satellite internet setups. After combing the forums and release nodes, here are some extra notes to help other developers using Apple-Hosted Background Assets. I don't promise I got this perfect, but it may help direct you. AssetPack.Status is an OptionSet (not an enum!) - Critical API detail missing from guide It's a bitmask where values can be combined 2⁰ (1) = available to download 2¹ (2) = update available 2² (4) = up to date 2⁶ (64) = downloaded Example: status value 69 = 0b1000101 = available + up to date + downloaded Use .contains() method to check specific flags AssetPack.version property - Undocumented feature Auto-assigned by App Store Connect for Apple-hosted packs Increments with each upload of same asset pack ID No file deduplication across asset packs Same file in two packs = counts twice toward 200GB limit Best practice: create separate pack for shared files Shared namespace path requirements Asset pack ID is NOT part of file path Each file must have unique relative path across ALL app's asset packs Example: Foo/10/239/414.png and Bar/10/239/414.png are distinct and won't collide Additional url(for:) bugs beyond iOS 26.1 fix iOS 26 Beta 5: "item with same name already exists" error Workaround: Request URL for directory, then manually append filename TestFlight-only availability - Major limitation not mentioned! Attach a debugger to app launched via `devicectrl`
With the latest (26) version of Apple's developer tools, is there a way to manually attach a debugger (other than lldb) to an iOS app launched with "devicectl device process launch --start-stopped"? In the past, this was possible via the ios-deploy third-party tool (now defunct), which provided a debugserver port. This information is notably missing when using devicectrl – although the process ID of the launch process is provided, and the tool is clearly aimed at letting you launch and attach to processes from the command line. lldb can, of course, attach via its built-in support for this using the device set of commands. But I'm explicitly looking for a way to attach my own debugger via the GDB-compatible debug proxy.

Is it possible to use Lottie with Swift Package Manager files?
Hi! I wanted to use Lottie in my swiftpm app, but I've been running into errors and I'm not sure if it's possible. When I try to run the app, it crashes and I get errors saying that the library isn't loaded and the files aren't found (basically these: https://github.com/lottie-react-native/lottie-react-native/issues/373 , https://github.com/airbnb/lottie-ios/issues/2233 ). But moving the framework file into the PackageFrameworks folder doesn't work, and also I'm getting the error that swiftpm cannot distribute packages containing binary frameworks and from what I understand that just isn't something that swiftpm can do. So I was wondering if anyone knows any workarounds to this, or if I should just ditch Lottie? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Authentication with Microsoft EntraID
Hi everyone, I've been trying to integrate with Microsoft EntraID for more than a week. I've followed every tutorial, ChatGPT, Cloude.ai, etc, but nothing works, and I realized that the problem is setting up information inside the Info.plist correctly. In the old days, we were able to edit it, but now it's a mess. I'm working with Xcode 15.2. Unfortunately, my computer does not accept more upgrades. Yes, I know I have to buy a new one, but I'm not sure if the new version will help me solve that. Does anyone have a project example or some experience with Microsoft EntraID authentication using SwiftUI? All the examples in the project are really old and usually don't use SwiftUI

開発アプリで通知確認を行うため、UDIDをプロビジョニングプロファイルに追加する必要があります。 iPhoneのUDIDは取得することができたのですが、AppleWatchのUDIDを取得する方法が分かりません。 Xcodeと接続してUDIDを取得しようとしましたが、iPhoneのみ認識がされAppleWatchが認識されていません。 AppleWatchもデベロッパモードをONしなければならないとAppleから返答をもらったが、その方法がわからないのでどなたかご教授お願い致します。

Automatic Provisioning fails in VisualStudio 2022
Hi there, I am trying to create my first iOS app using Visual Studio (Win 11) and .NET MAUI. I created a developer account and if I want to start the debugger with my local device, VS forces me to Configure Automatic Provisioning. I can select my configured account but the operation fails (see screenshot). I have no idea what is going wrong and I cannot find any setting in the developer account to fix this problem. Can anyone help me out, what is wrong and how to fix, thx!

Best replacement for MCL
So, as we found out from WWDC, the migration to Apple Silicon is inevitable. Does anyone have a good recommendation for a replacement for Macintosh Common Lisp on Apple Silicon? I was using it back in the MPW days and struggling to keep the Lisp code working, but Apple Silicon has thrown a money wrench at it! Thanks in advance for any advice on any available Apple Silicon Lisp development tools!

Is the new iPadOS/macOS 26 help icon available in SF Symbols?
Under macOS 26 and iPadOS, the Help menu in many cases has a menu item for "App Help". This item has the following icon: I need to use this in my own app. I am unable to find this icon in SF Symbols 7 beta. I've scanned all of the icons under "What's New". I've searched for "help", "light", and "bulb" and this icon does not appear. Does anyone know if it's even a new SF Symbol? Or does anyone know of a way to use this icon?
