I just noticed that when you check the online documentation for Foundation using the delicious Objective-C flavor, some values are no more the expected ones:
https://developer.apple.com/documentation/foundation/filemanager/copyitem(at:to:)?language=objc#return-value
true if the item was copied successfully or the file manager’s delegate stopped the operation deliberately. Returns false if an error occurred.
Considering that a BOOL used to be YES or NO for the last quarter of a century, I have the following question:
[Q] What is the idea behind the disturbing changes of the Objective-C documentation?

One of the libraries that makes up my application depends on -undefined dynamic_lookup to link, and has since at least Snow Leopard if not earlier. I think iOS hasn't liked this for a while, but with the new linker I'm getting deprecation warnings even on OS X. I don't entirely understand what this flag does, other than it makes the build successful. :) So I'm at a loss on how to even approach fixing it. At this point, even links to useful resources would be appreciated, since googling hasn't yielded much beyond "remove -undefined to quiet the deprecation warning."
FWIW, there is a bit of circular dependence between this library and another. On another OS, we need a carefully choreographed dance of building object files, then import libraries, then final linking to make this all work. So I suspect this may be related, but even if I'm correct, I don't know what would be the equivalent tools on Apple platforms.
(Copy pasted from FB17261080 that I submitted)
Hi:
Apple's SDK (libSystem.B.tbd) provides definition for multiple symbols(__unw_add_dynamic_fde / __unw_add_find_dynamic_unwind_sections ), but doesn't provide corresponding headers, available in LLVM upstream as libunwind_ext.h
We need such headers to write Exception-Enabled JIT Framework for macOS
Background Assets can support a maximum of 200G. Will the Apple server perform file comparison? For example, file0 is included in both a.aar file and b.aar file. On the Apple server, does it occupy twice the size of a single file?
Hi guys!
I have gone through an absolute nightmare, trying to solve the issue that I am about to tell you about.
As the title says, I am getting the error:
Library '/Xcode.app/Contents/Developer/Toolchains/XcodeDefault.xctoolchain/usr/lib/clang/17/lib/darwin/libclang_rt.profile_driverkit.a' not found
I trimmed off part of that directory as I did not want to reveal that information about my computer.
From what I can tell, the file in question is no longer even a part of Xcode. I have searched, it is not on my computer anywhere.
I have also downloaded older versions of Xcode to search with it. None of them have it.
I have literally tried everything under the Son to solve this issue.
I have been stuck on it for two days.
I have even resorted to doing something I hate, which is asking for ChatGPT to assist me with solving the issue. No help there.
I am at my wits end. So I am coming to you guys, have you seen this error?
Any ideas at all? The odds are pretty good whatever you recommend I have probably already tried 200 times over. But I am still open to hearing anything.
Have any of you had this error? Any ideas?
I am on the latest version of macOS.
The project is for a macOS app.
M4 Mac mini.
Any additional information I can provide, that will be helpful?
At this point, I am leaning more towards this being a bug with Xcode than anything.
Hello,
I’m trying to test a Xamarin.iOS application using the iOS 26 simulators in Mac Visual Studio, but I’m encountering an issue where the simulators are not appearing or accessible from Visual Studio.
Details:
macOS version: 15.6 (24G84)
Xcode version: 26 Beta 5
Visual Studio version: 17.6.0.80
Xamarin.iOS version: Xamarin.Forms (Version: 4.6.0.1180) using XAML for cross-platform support (iOS/Android)
The problem started after updating to iOS 26 SDK. I am unable to select or run the app on any iOS 26 simulator from Visual Studio.
Has anyone faced a similar issue? Is there any configuration or workaround to enable iOS 26 simulators for Xamarin projects?
Thanks in advance for your help.

The project at hand is quite complex, and the link content is especially.
I suddenly saw this warning again in recent days and wanted to inquire about when this deletion would be done, so that our team could make preparations and plan in advance.
Hi all,
I’m developing a watchOS app and have seen cases where the app is terminated by the system — for example, due to CPU usage limits being exceeded (watchdog termination). Here’s a portion of one of the crash reports:
Exception Type: EXC_CRASH (SIGKILL)
Exception Codes: 0x0000000000000000, 0x0000000000000000
Termination Reason: CAROUSEL 2343432205
<RBSTerminateContext| domain:10 code:0x8BADF00D explanation:[app<app_name>:898] Failed to terminate gracefully after 5.0s
ProcessVisibility: Foreground
ProcessState: Running
WatchdogEvent: process-exit
WatchdogVisibility: Foreground
WatchdogCPUStatistics: (
"Elapsed total CPU time (seconds): 11.280 (user 9.800, system 1.480), 100% CPU",
"Elapsed application CPU time (seconds): 5.162, 46% CPU"
) reportType:CrashLog maxTerminationResistance:Interactive>
My questions:
1.) Is there any way to get notified (via Crashlytics, Xcode Organizer, or any other reporting mechanism) when this type of system-level termination happens — similar to how we’re notified of crashes?
2.)Is there any way for a watchOS app to receive runtime warnings from the system when it’s about to exceed CPU or memory limits — similar to UIApplication.didReceiveMemoryWarningNotification on iOS?
Thanks in advance!

We are looking for a platform or portal provided by Apple that allows us to track crashes, hangs, or other runtime issues faced by users while using our iOS/macOS application. This is similar to how we currently use Windows Error Reporting (WER) for our Windows application.
Important note: Our application is not distributed via the Apple App Store — it is delivered through enterprise distribution or ad-hoc provisioning.

I'm using Xcode 16.3 and I want to add the key "NSUbiquitousContainers" but I cannot do it in the Entitlements file, it should be in info.plist file! I have done it before but in previous versions of Xcode when the info.plist was in the project navigator.
However, now I cannot find the file and I did not find any way to create it!
Please guide me in detail how to proceed (I'm not new to Swift or SwiftUI but not familiar to project settings)?
I use CMake for my builds not the XCode GUI.
I want to be able to build a single .app that contains both the GUI version and the command line version. I have seen products that ship both as part of the same .app (e.g. CMake) so this is clearly entirely possible, the 64k question is HOW?
Right now I am building them as separate apps - lets call them DSS and DSSCL (*).
The code base for each is in its own directory - each with its own CMakelists.txt file.
My initial thoughts are to change the build for DSSCL so it doesn't create a bundle and then simply copy the DSSCL command and related .qm files into DSS.app/.../MacOS.
However that's likely enough totally wrong, so how should I handle this please.
As much detail as possible please, I am very new to macOS development -please don't assume knowledge of stuff that's second nature to you
Many thanks
David
(*) Strictly they are DeepSkyStacker and DeepSkyStackerCL

Good day everyone.
I have a react native app which works on dev mode on my device - Iphone 13 pro version: 18.5, but when deployed to TestFlight and installed on same device it crashes when ever I click on any TextInput. I downloaded the crash file but finding it difficult to pinpoint the problem.
I want to know what the problem is, if it's related to an installed package or code base or any other.
Any help will be appreciated!!!
Thanks.
crashlog.crash
When attempting to open sysdiagnose logs collected from an iPhone running iOS 26 beta 3 on macOS Console, the application consistently crashes.
Crash report has been added for reference.

About three weeks ago I submitted a DTS ticket (13097367) to receive code level support with a potential SwiftUI bug. At first I did not receive any response at all (beside the automatic confirmation that the ticket has been created).
Only after posting the question here, I got a reply from a DTS engineer. However, the proposed solution did not really solve the problem but only circumvents it (UI freezes when ScrollView reaches below SafeArea. Solution: Do not use ScrollView below SafeArea...)
I pointed out, that this does not really help me. Since then I did not receive any further response.
Is this normal? Is there something wrong with my ticket? Maybe it was closed by accident or something?
Thank you very much!
Recently we tried to update the plist.info file in one of our apps to specify an LSMinimumSystemVersion of 16.0 but when uploading this to App Store Connect using the Transporter app we received an error that this setting cannot be any higher than 15.2. Is there any way around this? Will this be changing soon?

Good morning everyone,
I am developing a Flutter app for Android and iOS.
When I press a button, the app detects the location of the device (obviously with permissions already granted).
On Android everything works correctly.
On iOS, however, when I press the button for the first time after opening the app, the location is detected after about 30-50 seconds.
On the other hand, if I repeat the operation later, the response time is drastically reduced (only a few seconds).
I am using the location package (https://pub.dev/packages/location), and the code to get the location is as follows:
var currentLocation = await location.getLocation();
Has anyone experienced this problem before or knows how to solve it?
Thank you very much!
Federico
I developed (with AI help) using Xcode an app for myself. It logged certain places visited on a list, with photos and notes. It worked, but after a few days my iPhone can't launch it. What do I have to do to get this to last?
I didn't think I needed to pay as this is purely for me.
How to add speech recognition in + capability in Xcode there is no "Speech Recognition" in the list.
I have created and Ios app using xojo, and run using the Xcode simulator. I want to test it on my phone and don't seed to put it on the app store as it is for personal use. I've seen pages that indicate a free apple developer option is available for a limited time but can't for the live of me get my app to actually run on my phone. I've tried both apple configurator and xcode to add my app with no luck
By default, it seems 15.6 is shipped with
git version 2.39.5 (Apple Git-154)
I was wondering when Apple will ship a Git version above 2.43 to resolve this vulnerability.
Git Carriage Return Line Feed (CRLF) Vulnerability (CVE-2025-48384)
https://github.com/git/git/security/advisories/GHSA-vwqx-4fm8-6qc9
You can install Homebrew then install newer versions of git using Homebrew; however that installs in a new location so the vulnerability is still present as the native version is behind and updated by Apple during software updates
Thanks
