I am attempting to use the AVSpeechSynthesizer to include text to speech in my Swift Playgrounds project, but when I attempt to use it on my IPhone i get the following errors:
It works just fine on the simulator, but no audio is produced when I run it on-device. Is there a way to set this "bundle display name" within Swift Playgrounds, or are there any workarounds?
My code:
import AVFoundation
class Speaker {
let synthesizer = AVSpeechSynthesizer()
func speak() {
let utterance = AVSpeechUtterance(string: "Test, I am the speaker")
synthesizer.speak(utterance)
}
}

This is my first problem and my first question hopefully somebody can help or give me some suggestions. I was in the developr beta of IOS 26 build(235260n) for a while I haven't updated it since the new beat has came out, beta 3. I have been trying to update requested, after about 20 seconds it goes away but does not start the download the update. The problem also begins to download something into the system beta goes from 22.85 GB to 33.78 GB. It just holds the update but doesn't;t update the phone. I have tried power cycling the device and everytime I do that it just resets the system data and allows up to try the update again. Unsure what to do and don't know if I would need to wait for the public beta for IOS26 to change anything on the device. Please let me know if you guys have any more suggestions what should be the next step. I also was unsure if I should backup the device and reinstall it to make sure that its not something with the conncetion.

In the public release of iOS 18.4.1 and iPadOS 18.4.1, external input support for keyboards and mice is critically degraded. This issue affects both Apple-branded and third-party HID-compliant devices, over both wired USB-C and Bluetooth.
Tested Hardware:
• iPhone 16 Pro Max (256GB)
• iPad Pro (USB-C, latest gen), last gen iPad as well
Affected Devices:
• Apple Magic Mouse and Keys (wired USB-C/Bluetooth)
• Redragon K580RGBPRO (Bluetooth/wired USB-C)
• Razer Naga V2 Pro (Bluetooth/USB-C)
Symptoms:
• Severe keystroke delay and dropped input
• Modifier keys (Shift, Command, Option) fail intermittently
• Input degrades further with multiple HID devices connected
• Mouse input via Bluetooth exhibits pointer lag and jitter
• Occurs in all apps: Notes, Safari, Mail, text fields, password entries, etc.
• Identical results using Apple USB-C cables
Reproducibility:
100%. Clean boots, minimal background activity, and isolated environments (including Airplane Mode) do not resolve the issue. Identical behavior across both iPhone and iPad.
Expected Behavior:
All HID-compliant external input devices — particularly Apple-branded ones — should provide low-latency, reliable, and consistent input over both USB-C and Bluetooth, especially in a production iOS/iPadOS release.
Actual Behavior:
External keyboards and mice exhibit:
• Lag
• Dropped characters
• Failed modifiers
• Degraded mouse tracking
Even with the latest hardware and clean configurations.
Severity:
Critical.
This is a platform-level failure affecting I/O at the user interaction layer. Input reliability is non-negotiable — especially on $2000+ flagship devices using Apple’s own peripherals.
Closing Note (for Apple engineering & peer devs):
This is not a beta regression — it’s a public release flaw that undermines iOS and iPadOS usability for power users, professionals, and accessibility communities alike. That Apple Magic Keyboard, Redragon, and Razer gear all fail equally and consistently should be a wake-up call.
Apple: this needs to be escalated. Now.
External input — one of the most basic subsystems in any OS — is broken on your highest-end devices.
I bought a new Iphone 16 promax yesterday. I have 164.87 GB available. I'm running 18.2.1.... It says downloading since yesterday afternoon. I have restarted, changed regions, reset network settings...... nothing.

I know this may not seem like the most important feature, but hear me out...
I've been using Apple TV on a standard 1080p TV for years and it was GREAT. Recently, I purchased a higher-end 4K television, and when I plugged in my Apple TV - surprise! I was greeted with a somewhat laggy UI due to input delay.
After playing with settings and doing a ton of research, I found that it's because of my TV's video processing features. When I switch from the default content type to my TV's Game Mode, the UI feels like a true Apple product again - crisp transitions and the input lag is basically gone.
Here's the annoying part: when I start watching video content, it switches to the corresponding content type and everything looks perfect. But when I go back to the menus, it reverts to the default mode with all the lag. So I'm constantly having to manually switch modes!
Adding ALLM (Auto Low Latency Mode) would fix this problem completely. The best part? It's backwards compatible with HDMI 2.0, so it seems like such a small thing to add that would seriously elevate the user experience.
I would at least love it if apple gave users this option we can toggle in the settings. Any way we can get this?
I made a community post here not sure best place to post
Over the past few months, I’ve been experiencing persistent, abnormal behavior on my iPhone. Here's a short timeline:
March 2025: Most apps log me out every time I close them.
April 2025: Stored passwords suddenly begin failing across apps and websites.
May–June 2025: Password recovery emails from Gmail accounts no longer arrive — suggesting that Gmail itself may be compromised or blocked/intercepted.
Given the escalation, I ran several diagnostics and extracted system-level logs. Below is a structured summary of findings that point toward potential remote access, network traffic rerouting, and possibly hidden use of Bluetooth or debugging interfaces.
Device Information
Model: iPhone17,1 (A17 chip)
iOS Version: 18.5 (Build 22F76)
Status: Stock, not jailbroken or running a developer build
Region: Netherlands
Carrier: KPN NL
Language/Locale: Dutch (nl-NL)
1. Evidence of Remote Services and XPC Connectivity
Source: remotectl_dumpstate.txt
More than 50 remote lockdown and diagnostic services are listed as active.
Notable entries:
com.apple.mobile.lockdown.remote.trusted and .untrusted
com.apple.mobile.file_relay.shim.remote
com.apple.webinspector.shim.remote
com.apple.pcapd.shim.remote
com.apple.bluetooth.BTPacketLogger.shim.remote
com.apple.mobile.insecure_notification_proxy.remote
This volume of .shim.remote and diagnostic services appears highly irregular for a non-debug, non-jailbroken device.
2. Skywalk Network Flows and Unusual Routing
Source: skywalk.txt
Dozens of flowswitch entries across interfaces like:
ipsec0-7, pdp_ip0-2, en0-2, awdl0
Apps such as Gmail, ChatGPT, Preferences, and com.apple.WebKit are marked as defunct, yet persist in flow tables.
Two specific daemons — replicatord and siriactionsd — appear on nearly every interface, in both QUIC and TCP6 traffic.
skywalkctl flow-route shows multiple external IP paths, with flows routed through ipsec7, owned by kernel_task.0 — indicate tunnelling?
3. System Anomalies and Resource Behavior
Inaccessible System Network Tools
Source: get-network-info.txt
All scutil calls fail (/usr/sbin/scutil does not exist).
This blocks access to:
DNS configuration (scutil --dns)
Proxy and VPN status (scutil --proxy, --nc list)
Reachability checks (scutil -r www.apple.com)
The absence of scutil is not expected right?
Unusual Resource Usage
Source: assetsd.diskwrites_resource-2025-06-25.json
assetsd, working on behalf of cloudphotod, wrote over 1 GB of memory-backed files in under 1.5 hours.
4. Metadata Confirmation
Source: Analytics-2025-06-27-020008.json
Confirms:
iPhone capacity: 256 GB
DRAM: 7.5 GB
Carrier: KPN NL
Apps marked as highly active ("Games", "Creativity") in analytics also appear as defunct in skywalk, suggesting ghost background processes.
Key Questions for the Developer Community
Are >50 remote .shim.remote services typical on iOS 18.5 (release build)? Or does this suggest tampering, an MDM configuration, or debug provisioning?
Could a misconfigured VPN or MDM profile enable persistent flow-switching across multiple interfaces (e.g., ipsec, pdp, awdl) and reroute app traffic such as Gmail?
Is it possible for a test or developer certificate to silently side-load a background daemon, or trigger services like pcapd or file_relay, without showing in Profiles or Settings?
Has anyone else seen the scutil binary missing or inaccessible on a stock iPhone? Could this be a sign of intentional lockdown or system modification?
If anyone on iOS 18.5 / iPhone17,1 can share their remotectl_dumpstate output, I'd like to compare the service count and see if this behavior is reproducible.
I’d appreciate any insight from those familiar with Apple’s system daemons, skywalk internals, or network service behavior. Happy to share sanitized logs or run additional diagnostics if needed.
Thanks in advance.

Hi everyone,
I'm currently working on a Swift Playgrounds project where I need to incorporate a Metal shader file. However, when I tried to include my shader file (PincushionShader.metal), I encountered the following error:
Is it possible to use Metal shader files within Swift Playgrounds, it is really important for my swift student challenge scene? If not, are there any workarounds or recommended approaches for testing Metal shaders in a similar environment?
Any guidance or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

• suspender animações;
• reduzir brilho ao mínimo;
• pausar atualizações em segundo plano;
• congelar aplicativos não essenciais;
• priorizar salvamento automático de arquivos, notas, gravações e mensagens.
✔️ Benefícios:
1. Evita a sensação de desligamento inesperado.
2. Reduz o risco de perda de dados importantes.
3. Melhora a segurança e experiência do usuário.
Hello, everyone,
I hope you're all doing well. I'm facing an unfortunate issue with my Apple Developer Program membership that was suddenly terminated. I received a generic email from Apple, stating that my membership was revoked, but no specific reason was provided for this action.
I appealed the decision, offering all possible explanations and commitments to adhere to guidelines, only to be met with a reply stating that the decision is "final" and no subsequent appeals will be processed.
Has anyone here faced a similar situation?
Are there any steps that can be taken to understand the reason for termination when Apple doesn't disclose it?
Is there a way to open a dialogue with Apple, even when they've stated that their decision is final?
Would publicizing this issue through social media or blogs be advisable?
This is a particularly trying time for us, as we are recovering from a recent earthquake and our app is our sole source of income.
Any insights, advice, or shared experiences would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for taking the time to read my post.
We don't violate any apple's policies... any information would be welcome.
Best regards,
I'm encountering an issue with the App Store Connect Analytics API. to download analytics reports, the app crash data is missing for both ONGOING and ONE_TIME_SNAPSHOT reports.
The crash data does appear in the Dashboard, with the numbers greater than 5, so this doesn’t seem to be related to privacy restrictions.
Has anyone else experienced this issue? Any insights or suggestions on how to resolve this would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance!
I have a FORD F250 2021. I returned for a deployment, and CarPlay does not work in my vehicle. I have tried all the YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram videos I could find. They all actually started to repeat, so I decided to come here. My wife has an iPhone 16 Pro Max, and it connects to CarPlay without any issues. Other than all the social media suggestions, do you have any other suggestions? No, I am not ready to purchase a new device.
Dear Community,
We are in the process of developing a mobile banking application and have a key requirement related to NFC-based peer-to-peer (P2P) transactions. Our goal is to enable secure and seamless money transfers between two devices using NFC.
Business Requirement:
The application will provide a feature where users can initiate money transfers via NFC.
The sender starts an NFC payment session from their device.
Simultaneously, the receiver starts an NFC session to accept the payment.
The sender's device should be able to detect the receiver’s NFC tag and process the transaction securely.
We would like to confirm whether iOS supports such a use case.
Your guidance on the feasibility of this feature, along with any technical or policy-related considerations, would be highly valuable.
Looking forward to your response.
In our iOS app we have added example.com in associated domains from the very beginning With no AASA file hosted at example.com domain
Now we need a subdomain app.example.com to be intercepted in our app, so for the same, we are thinking to host AASA at app.example.com and add app.example.com in associated domains too.
so my question is will hosting AASA at sub domain works? If yes, will it affect older apps where app.example.com is not handled.
In short we only want the links with app.example.com to be open in our app not the example.com links
Hi everyone,
I’m not sure if this is the right place for it, but I wanted to share a bit of my background and ask for advice from developers who’ve been in the industry longer than me.
I started learning to make games when I was a kid using Game Maker.
Later I got into Unity and even worked a few years as a solo developer for small startups — building Unity apps, VR projects, AR demos, websites, servers, everything.
But I never had a real team, never had mentorship, and none of the projects I worked on ever reached production or real users.
Life changed and I moved to the US, where I had to switch careers completely.
Now I’m trying to come back to software development, but I’m struggling with a feeling that I’m “not good enough” anymore.
The tech world has moved so fast, and companies like OpenAI, Meta, Epic, etc., feel way out of reach.
So my question to the community is:
How did you get started in your career?
Did you ever feel like you weren’t good enough?
How did you push through that and continue improving?
Any honest advice would help a lot.
Thanks.
My account has been active and in good standing for the past 2 years, and during this time I have never received any warnings or issues.
Recently, after Apple reviewed my account, I received a notification about possible termination. After carefully reviewing the situation myself, I realized what may have caused this:
I originally registered my Apple Developer account as an Individual Developer Account,
However, the bank account used for App Store payments belongs to my registered company,
At the time, I was not aware that the legal entity of the bank account must match the Apple Developer account registration.
This was not done with any intention to misrepresent or misuse the platform. It was simply a misunderstanding of the account requirements.
We have never deceived our users or the Apple Review Team in any way. For us as developers, providing an excellent user experience has always been our top priority, and we have always aimed to follow Apple’s review and compliance standards closely. We sincerely hope that, given our situation, the Apple Review Team could grant us an opportunity to correct these issues.
Is there some public git repo hosting "https://developer.apple.com/documentation"?

I am trying to create a new app using IOS-26.1, macOS Tahoe 26.1 and Xcode 26.1 with Swift6. Is this a bug that is going to be addressed. This is in the Debug Console...Unable to simultaneously satisfy constraints.
Probably at least one of the constraints in the following list is one you don't want.
Try this:
(1) look at each constraint and try to figure out which you don't expect;
(2) find the code that added the unwanted constraint or constraints and fix it.
(Note: If you're seeing NSAutoresizingMaskLayoutConstraints that you don't understand, refer to the documentation for the UIView property translatesAutoresizingMaskIntoConstraints)
(
"<NSAutoresizingMaskLayoutConstraint:0x10bb18870 h=--& v=--& _TtCC5UIKit19NavigationButtonBar15ItemWrapperView:0x115da48c0.width == 0 (active)>",
"<NSLayoutConstraint:0x115ac2ee0 _TtCC5UIKit19NavigationButtonBar15ItemWrapperView:0x115da48c0.leading == _UIButtonBarButton:0x115d40c80.leading (active)>",
"<NSLayoutConstraint:0x115ac30c0 H:[_UIButtonBarButton:0x115d40c80]-(0)-| (active, names: '|':_TtCC5UIKit19NavigationButtonBar15ItemWrapperView:0x115da48c0 )>",
"<NSLayoutConstraint:0x115ac2df0 'TB_Leading_Leading' H:|-(12)-[_UIModernBarButton:0x115d20a80] (active, names: '|':_UIButtonBarButton:0x115d40c80 )>",
"<NSLayoutConstraint:0x115ac2fd0 'TB_Trailing_Trailing' H:[_UIModernBarButton:0x115d20a80]-(12)-| (active, names: '|':_UIButtonBarButton:0x115d40c80 )>"
)
Will attempt to recover by breaking constraint
<NSLayoutConstraint:0x115ac2fd0 'TB_Trailing_Trailing' H:[_UIModernBarButton:0x115d20a80]-(12)-| (active, names: '|':_UIButtonBarButton:0x115d40c80 )>
Make a symbolic breakpoint at UIViewAlertForUnsatisfiableConstraints to catch this in the debugger.
The methods in the UIConstraintBasedLayoutDebugging category on UIView listed in <UIKitCore/UIView.h> may also be helpful.

I'm working on a SwiftUI application that uses a couple different webviews in a tabview to render some mdx and codemirror editor.
The editor webview, the one that's much more complicated works as expected. Some errors appear in the console due to what I imagine is a race condition that I'll get around to fixing, but it works as expected.
The other webview which just renders a single, local html file to display a dead simple summary absolutely refuses to work. It first appears to work as expected (shows the same 'return type unsupported' error in the console though) on the initial request, but then refuses to process any JS functions for that particular webview. Even the functions themselves are being used between the two webviews, and they work as expected in the other. Even worse, when I copy and paste the generated JS code into the safari dev tools it works as expected, even in the broken webview.
I've spent almost 12 hours on this today so far, and have made zero progress. I've tried commenting out just about the entire website to narrow it down on the JS side without success, and I've done everything I can think of on the swift side.
To be transparent, I'm very new to Swift and SwiftUI, having only picked it up a few weeks ago, but I'm an experienced developer and every obvious solution fails to work.
From what I've gathered, this might have something to do with the first function call failing, despite the fact that it appears to work on the first function call, but then the javascript engine refusing to process additional requests. I'm not sure if that's the cause, but it certainly seems to make sense.
Is there a way to debug this more completely? Like I said, I'm very new to Swift and still missing neovim, so I'm still getting comfortable with the apple ecosystem of devtools, but I can't even figure out how to print out the return type since it fails before I'm able to inspect anything on the safari side
I did notice this error in the console as well, and I'm not quite sure what to make of it:
Error acquiring assertion: <Error Domain=RBSServiceErrorDomain Code=1 "((target is not running or doesn't have entitlement com.apple.developer.web-browser-engine.rendering AND target is not running or doesn't have entitlement com.apple.developer.web-browser-engine.networking AND target is not running or doesn't have entitlement com.apple.developer.web-browser-engine.webcontent))" UserInfo={NSLocalizedFailureReason=((target is not running or doesn't have entitlement com.apple.developer.web-browser-engine.rendering AND target is not running or doesn't have entitlement com.apple.developer.web-browser-engine.networking AND target is not running or doesn't have entitlement com.apple.developer.web-browser-engine.webcontent))}>
And as I was digging for that one, I just noticed this:
WebContent[32934] 0x102011208 - [webPageID=306] WebPage::runJavaScriptInFrameInScriptWorld: Request to run JavaScript failed with error SecurityError: The operation is insecure.
What would trigger a security warning for running javascript against a local file?
Any help is greatly appreciated... this is driving me crazy.
