I just realized thaty I had signed up for this developer account some time ago without making any meaningful attempt to introduce myself other than attending a few of the Apple meetups at NeurIPS and ICML conferences. As a quick introduction I come from a background in open source development, most notably associated with the "Automunge" python library for dataframe encodings / missing data infill. I also have some background supporting Apple in context of volunteering as an executive officer for an IEEE Standards Association working group developing floating point arithmetic / data types for machine learning. Beyond that have been a dedicated user with frequent product feedback to various channels over the years. I am currently self employed and focussing on building an IP portfolio and investing. The rearrangemnet of the emoji menu is driving me crazy. I never use Memojis or the Apple animal emojis and now they're all squished together at the front of the emoji keyboard and it's difficult to select what I want, since the menu is so small. I switch between language and emoji keyboards frequently and this is extremely frustrating.

Hi, I have an iPhone 15 Pro Max, model A2849, which according to Apple’s official specifications, supports eSIM. However, in the settings, there is no visible option to add an eSIM (see attached screenshot). There is no “Add Cellular Plan” or any other eSIM-related menu. I’ve already checked for software updates, restarted the device, and reset the network settings, but the issue remains. Has anyone experienced this issue or knows how to fix it? I’m trying to register an Apple Developer Account for my company. I uploaded all the required documents, but my initial application was rejected, and I was asked to provide notarized translations of my documents. I translated them and submitted everything for review on April 1. After a week without a response, I contacted Apple Support. They replied that the documents had been received and were under review. However, as of today, April 24, my account is still under review. I’ve sent five follow-up emails to Support asking for a status update on my case, but I haven’t received any replies. Has anyone faced a similar situation and could suggest what I can do to get a status update and finally complete the registration? How to display DeviceActivityReportScene in a widget. When I was developing a widget, I found that DeviceActivityReportScene could not be displayed in the widget.

I updated my Apple Watch Series 6 before Apple withdrew beta 11.4 as an option. I see on forums that I am not alone with this issue. Many series 6 watches are now stuck in a boot loop. I hope Apple can resolve the issue for those of us that pushed the update to our watches before the issue was identified. Support were unable to assist.

Hardware: iPad Pro 11" (M2 Version) Software: iPadOS 18.4 Beta 4 (most recent as of 2025-03-24) Got an interesting one today that I am curious if anyone else has run into, and sadly it’s one that does affect my iPad use a lot! I use the Magic Keyboard 11” on mine. After upgrading to the Public Beta 4 last night, the keyboard works fine, the trackpad shows my grey dot on the screen and even indicates that it recognizes a trackpad click by that grey dot changing slightly. However, the actual click, nor scrolling, actually works in any way shape or form. The only gesture I’ve seen work up to this point is the three-finger motion to change applications, that’s it. I have two iPad’s, and two keyboards, and it does not matter which keyboard one I use, which confirms that it’s likely a software issue of some sort. Other reason that’s the case? Hooking up an external trackball and the same behavior happens. Anyone else run into this?

I’ve recently updated to ios 18.4.1 and I have problems with the internet. Things download painfully slow, an application that used to download in 10 seconds is now downloading in 2 minutes. Videos tend to stop at some point and when i fast forward them it stops to load a little when on the previous version it would work fine. It feels like my internet aged 30 years in 10 minutes. I’ve tried on other phones (not iphones) and it works just fine. Is it from the update or is it just my internet?

I'm totally baffled by the changes Apple made on iOS18 about certificates usage in the built-in mail application. They decided that self-signed are not accepted any more, fine. As long as you can install your own root CA and trust it, it should be fine. But NO! They have also decided that mail will only accept IMAP servers using a domain name, no more just and IP address. So you can't get any IP-based certificate that will be accepted by the mail app, even with the right SAN and al. I've tried two "identical" certs, one with a domain and one with an IP and the domain works while the IP fails, being rejected as non-valid by the app. The most funny part is that the IP cert is good enough to configure mail (can see the successful login), but is being rejected when reading emails. I'm really fed up with the "Apple police" that wants to push us not using our own storage anymore. My se case is simple, I have an IMAP server that is used by family to archive all emails and keep them organized, saved forever and away from being scanned. I need to access that server either when locally connected or through VPN. For VPN, I use split tunnels because I don't want all traffic to go to tunnel. Nor do I want to create my own local DNS server and have all VPN clients use such DNS server only for the sake of having a domain name for the IMAP server. Nor do I want to open an external port to redirect to my IMAP server (that works of course as then I can use DDNS ...). Talk about increased security! This is insane

Hi! I am a 3rd year accounting student trying to install an SAP gui onto my brand new Macbook Air. Every time I download the app, it refuses to open and pops up with this error. "CODESIGNING 1 Taskgated Invalid Signature" I have Java installed for it and have followed my professor's directions, so it should be working. Can someone help me?
