Notarytool in progress for over 2 days
Whilst waiting for the company developer account I successfully notarised an app/pkg On switching to the company account the app/pkg has been stuck in progress for over 2 days (see below) The initial submission was via Xcode and later via command line. The last one was when I updated bundle ids etc and built with Github Actions. The initial submission did coincide with a service outage, however that is marked as resolved. I would like to cancel all of them now that I have switched the signing account and the bundle ID but there seems no way to do this? Thoughts and comments welcome. Thanks Paul -------------------------------------------------- createdDate: 2025-08-14T11:03:24.837Z id: edf215d0-4d15-4075-aa6f-4755a35b3d45 name: ZenityEndpointAgent.pkg status: In Progress -------------------------------------------------- createdDate: 2025-08-12T21:36:36.345Z id: 9c98de09-d3aa-449b-ad47-7e721b0342c5 name: AIEdgeDeviceAgent.pkg status: In Progress -------------------------------------------------- createdDate: 2025-08-12T16:58:50.891Z id: 9206f9be-0fc4-4c6c-aa66-8fcbe3332155 name: AIEdgeDeviceAgent.pkg status: In Progress -------------------------------------------------- createdDate: 2025-08-12T10:37:35.624Z id: b20d1dd0-084e-441c-87a6-641fb088819e name: AIEdge Device Agent.zip status: In Progress

Notarization hangs forever
I've been trying to have an app I've built notarized by Apple. The processing hangs there for hours just waiting. I even tried with a tiny 1KB test file, it has been stuck for 25+ minutes, and I have 7 real submissions stuck for 24+ hours. Any Apple representative can help please? I need to publish and release my app asap.

Notarize with Enterprise API Key
Hello! I've been facing an issue with notarizing a macOS app with an Enterprise API Key. Due to some misunderstanding setting up the project some years ago, the notarization step was using a developer's accounts API Key. I am looking to fix it to have everything centralized in the Enterprise account we work with, but I get "Debug [JWT] Generating new JWT for key ID" with the new key. This is using the xcrun notarytool directly to get more input. Using Fastlane it fails as: Error polling for notarization info: [11:29:25]: unexpected token at '' The project is deployed via MDM, so we need it to prevent the security warning. I used this documentation to create the key: https://developer.apple.com/documentation/enterpriseprogramapi/creating-api-keys-for-enterprise-program-api I have tried a Developer and an Admin access key, and the Account Holder has also created an Admin key but the errors keep the same. I just updated my Fastlane script to use the new key with the updated values. The old developer account key still works. I am not sure if I am missing any steps in the documentation or if this is not achievable. Important to add that all the profiles and certificates were already set up properly in the Enterprise account, the only error was using an App Store Connect Key instead of an Enterprise Key. Thanks in advance for the help.

Electron Builder Notarization Issue
I'm having issues with notarizing my Electron app using electron-builder. The build process works, but notarization gets hung up on submitting to Apple. Versions electron: 33.2.1 electron-builder: 24.9.1 @electron/notarize: 2.3.2 macOS runner: macos-latest Current Setup Using GitHub Actions for CI/CD Developer ID Application certificate is properly installed and verified Apple ID credentials are confirmed working (verified via altool) Notarization is configured in both package.json and build arguments Logs 2024-12-29T18:56:37.198Z electron-notarize:spawn spawning cmd: xcrun args: [ '--find', 'notarytool' ] opts: {} 2024-12-29T18:56:38.652Z electron-notarize:spawn cmd xcrun terminated with code: 0 2024-12-29T18:56:38.653Z electron-notarize:notarytool starting notarize process for app: /Users/runner/work/***/***/dist/mac-arm64/***.app 2024-12-29T18:56:38.653Z electron-notarize:helpers doing work inside temp dir: /var/folders/95/0ydz4d79163427j3k5crp3fh0000gn/T/electron-notarize-KxNa7e 2024-12-29T18:56:38.653Z electron-notarize:notarytool zipping application to: /var/folders/95/0ydz4d79163427j3k5crp3fh0000gn/T/electron-notarize-KxNa7e/***.zip 2024-12-29T18:56:38.654Z electron-notarize:spawn spawning cmd: ditto args: [ '-c', '-k', '--sequesterRsrc', '--keepParent', '***.app', '/var/folders/95/0ydz4d79163427j3k5crp3fh0000gn/T/electron-notarize-KxNa7e/***.zip' ] opts: { cwd: '/Users/runner/work/***/***/dist/mac-arm64' } 2024-12-29T18:56:47.906Z electron-notarize:spawn cmd ditto terminated with code: 0 2024-12-29T18:56:47.906Z electron-notarize:notarytool zip succeeded, attempting to upload to Apple 2024-12-29T18:56:47.906Z electron-notarize:spawn spawning cmd: xcrun args: [ 'notarytool', 'submit', '/var/folders/95/0ydz4d79163427j3k5crp3fh0000gn/T/electron-notarize-KxNa7e/***.zip', '--apple-id', '*********', '--password', '*********', '--team-id', '*********', '--wait', '--output-format', 'json' ] opts: {} This is the farthest I've been able to get after pushing through many errors.. What I've Tried Verified Apple Developer account access and Team ID Confirmed certificate installation works Tested credentials using altool (successfully lists providers) Added explicit notarization environment variables Any help would be appreciated!

Malware warnings on properly notarized apps
Hello, I've been developing a mac app built with Electron Builder. In August, I was successfully notarizing my app and able to send it to testers without them receiving a malware warning. I took a two month break. When I came back in October, I am not able to distribute my app without the malware warning. I can't for the life of me figure out what I could be missing, unless my developer account was flagged by Apple for some reason. All the diagnostics I run on my app package show that it is properly signed, notarized, and stapled. Here are some diagnostics I have run on the app: Command: codesign -dv --verbose=4 "/Volumes/Form Desktop 1/Form.app" Output: Executable=/Volumes/Form Desktop 1/Form.app/Contents/MacOS/Form Identifier=co.Form.desktop Format=app bundle with Mach-O thin (arm64) CodeDirectory v=20500 size=763 flags=0x10000(runtime) hashes=13+7 location=embedded VersionPlatform=1 VersionMin=720896 VersionSDK=917504 Hash type=sha256 size=32 CandidateCDHash sha256=cedcaef933c003c01b4d9ef6925a413fe6b4a585 CandidateCDHashFull sha256=cedcaef933c003c01b4d9ef6925a413fe6b4a585bf61e19751e8158775600b00 Hash choices=sha256 CMSDigest=cedcaef933c003c01b4d9ef6925a413fe6b4a585bf61e19751e8158775600b00 CMSDigestType=2 Executable Segment base=0 Executable Segment limit=16384 Executable Segment flags=0x1 Page size=4096 CDHash=cedcaef933c003c01b4d9ef6925a413fe6b4a585 Signature size=8973 Authority=Developer ID Application: Jacob LEELAND (92D98F49FU) Authority=Developer ID Certification Authority Authority=Apple Root CA Timestamp=Nov 14, 2025 at 8:25:09 PM Notarization Ticket=stapled Info.plist entries=30 TeamIdentifier=92D98F49FU Runtime Version=14.0.0 Sealed Resources version=2 rules=13 files=35090 Internal requirements count=1 size=176 RESULT: ✅ SIGNED WITH DEVELOPER ID ✅ NOTARIZATION TICKET STAPLED ✅ HARDENED RUNTIME ENABLED ---------------------------------------------------------------- Command: spctl --assess --verbose=4 --type execute "/Volumes/Form Desktop 1/Form.app" Output: /Volumes/Form Desktop 1/Form.app: accepted source=Notarized Developer ID RESULT: ✅ GATEKEEPER ACCEPTS APPLICATION ---------------------------------------------------------------- Command: xattr -l "/Volumes/Form Desktop 1/Form.app" Output: (No extended attributes) ---------------------------------------------------------------- Command: stapler validate "/Volumes/Form Desktop 1/Form.app" Output: Processing: /Volumes/Form Desktop 1/Form.app The validate action worked! I have tried notarizing the .dmg in addition to the app bundle, but no combination seems to work as far as I can tell. I appreciate any help or point in the right direction. I've wasted many days of development time on this, lol.

Developer ID Notary Service Experiencing Elevated Latency
Starting a few hours ago (roughly 2:45PM Eastern time) we began experiencing elevated latency with the Developer ID Notary Service. There is nothing listed on the developer system status page about degraded performance or a service outage. Operations that usually take ~15 minutes, are stacking up for hours. The oldest pending entry we have was created at 2:45PM Eastern: createdDate: 2025-06-24T18:45:22.539Z id: 5209a4d2-eae4-4714-aa8e-6961677ff2e We currently have 27 pending builds in the notary service since we are required to notarize internal builds to ensure we satisfy our requirements so this is creating an issue for us.

Notary Request Stuck In Pending
Hi Apple team, I have a recently created dev account and submitted two different 20-30 mb .apps for notary through the notary tool. I have read that this should only take minutes at this size of an app but both have been stuck in progress for almost 24+ hours. Below are the UUIDs of the notary submissions. Also I tried re-submitting but these are also stuck in progress. Successfully received submission history. history -------------------------------------------------- createdDate: 2025-09-26T11:46:32.643Z id: 9714758e-e216-496d-80f8-422f77011ebe name: <>.zip status: In Progress -------------------------------------------------- createdDate: 2025-09-25T21:48:46.161Z id: c2a81300-c903-4277-8ef3-70205a690c76 name: <>.zip status: In Progress -------------------------------------------------- createdDate: 2025-09-25T18:24:36.205Z id: 42742be1-c7e5-4483-a2c5-95e89086d070 name: <>.zip status: In Progress -------------------------------------------------- createdDate: 2025-09-25T16:35:09.059Z id: a404256e-40c2-4dca-97fc-983e70ea4b7b name: <>.zip status: In Progress

Team ID suddenly invalid
Hi, overnight I'm getting "HTTP status code: 403. Invalid or inaccessible developer team ID for the provided Apple ID. Ensure the Team ID is correct and that you are a member of that team." in my pipeline running notarytool store-credentials. I'm getting --apple-id, --team-id and --password from CI variables. Double checked the values (even though they shouldn't change). Tried a new app specific password I did not change anything to cause this and my apple developer account is active. Really scratching my head what's going on here. Some assistance would be greatly appreciated!
