Hello, We have an internal enterprise app. After the provisioning profile (certificate) expired, some employees' iPhones still retained the old certificate when updating the app, causing the app to fail to open. We’ve tried restarting and reinstalling the app, but the issue persists. Having each employee manually reset network or device settings would be too operationally costly. Since this involves a large number of devices, we cannot use Apple Configurator to remove and reinstall certificates one by one. Therefore, we’d like to ask if there is a more efficient, batch-oriented solution to quickly resolve the certificate residue issue. We’d appreciate any suggestions for large-scale deployment methods. I am trying to find clarification on something. We are seeing strange cases where customer devices seem to unenroll themselves after a period of MDM inactivity. This seems to tie into roughly when their identity certificate has expired. We can't confirm this because the device has since unenrolled. Is there any case where an Apple device will automatically unenroll if it's identity certificate has expired? This doesn't always seem to happen - I had a device respond immediately after being switched off for a year - but could this be down to some devices being DEP enrolled and others manually enrolled?

However, with the help of EKEventEditViewController and EKEvent instances, when creating an event from the main target of the application using EventKitUI, the event will not be displayed as a virtual meeting. I have seen that other applications like Zoom have already implemented this, and I find it difficult to find relevant documentation on how to link events created by the program to virtual meetings. I have a in-house delivered app, I updated certificates and delivered the app before expiring, inviting users to update. after certificates expiration people who did not update now must remove the app loosing personal data, and download it again, but app crashes. I know that since iOS 18 in order to trust again an in-house identity, restart is required. What I need to know, is if there is some documentation where is explained the following: if I remove the only app delivered by in-house enterprise profile I have on a customer device, via home, long time tap gesture, "remove the app" then I install again the app, the profile reappears under "VPN and device management" and results already as "trusted" instead if I remove the app directly from settings > VPN and device management, when I re-install the app VPN and device management reappears and developer/app is not trusted, in it asks me to trust again the developer and during the operation, restarts the device, asks me device code and so on. so, my final question is: since it is clear to me that there is a difference between two removal methods, where is this logic described? Is it only present for in-house distribution?

Main Issue We are experiencing an issue where iOS devices become unresponsive when attempting to shutdown or reboot from the lock screen while locked into Single App Mode via MDM or Apple Configurator. Steps to Reproduce: Start any iOS device. Use Apple Configurator or an MDM solution to enable Single App Mode. Wait for the device to lock into the specified app. Lock the device so that it goes to the lock screen. Hold the Power button and Volume Up button until the shutdown/emergency screen appears. At this point, the device becomes unresponsive. After approximately 30 seconds, the message "Guided Access app unavailable. Please contact your administrator" appears. The device is now frozen, and the only way to recover is to force restart it using Apple's forced restart method (Apple Support Link). Additional Issue: Additionally, we observe that when using an app in Single App Mode, attempting to reboot the device and canceling the reboot prevents any subsequent reboot attempts until a force restart is performed. Steps to Reproduce This Behavior: Lock the iOS device into Single App Mode. Use the app normally. Attempt to shut down the device by holding the Power and Volume Up buttons. The shutdown/emergency screen appears as expected. Cancel the shutdown by tapping "Cancel." The device returns to the lock screen. Swipe up to return to the app. Attempt to shut down the device again using the same method. Nothing happens—the shutdown screen no longer appears. The only way to reboot the device now is through a forced restart. This appears to be a bug in Single App Mode behavior, potentially related to Guided Access restrictions. Has anyone else encountered this issue? Is this the right place to report this issue? or should I report it elsewhere? I have more videos and material showing how to reproduce this issue if needed.

I'm currently testing app updates using the App:Managed declarative device management payload, and I have a question regarding app update status reporting. Presently, by subscribing to the app.managed.list status item, we can retrieve a list of managed applications along with their installation status. Additionally, we enable automatic updates for managed App Store apps using the UpdateBehavior.AutomaticAppUpdates key. However, especially when a critical application update is initiated, we frequently find ourselves needing more detailed information about the update process. For instance, having status items similar to softwareupdate.install-state and softwareupdate.failure-reason would be incredibly helpful for user troubleshooting. My question is: Is there a way to obtain a similar level of detailed, real-time status updates for app updates? Hello, this may not be the correct place to ask this question so I apologize in advance if this is the case. I am currently running into two specifc issues while continuing to implement the app.managed configuration which are quite frustrating and I will detail them below Unlike MDM where an application could be "reinstalled", by sending an install application command down for the same app DM does not have a similar mechanism which causes some issues as (while inconsistent) devices do not always respect the configuration sent down, and will not begin downloading VPP applications. They can be seen in the configuration when checking under VPN & Device Management but they do not return on a status report, alternatively and app will "install" but will have a cloud symbol next to it requiring a download (which I believe would be impossible on supervised devices without apple accounts/have restricted apple accounts associated to them). These apps are also reported incorrectly, as they return a managed response while being inaccessible. Both of these issues are solved by removing and reinstall applications (occasionally). Is there any easier way to trigger a re-install or is this the only way to trigger this? The Version element that can be optionally sent down does not seem to work (or if it does, does so inconsistently). A device will very happily download the application initially with the version element present, though when we detect an updated external ID from the VPP program and send down an updated configuration devices behave unexpectedly. Some have ignored it, some have responded back that a download has begun (with no download taking place and the application clearly still being the initial installed version as can be see in the apps page) or it just works, but there is not consistency. I realize a new UpdateBehavior object has been added to possibly handle this, but it is only supported in iOS 26 and above and there are plenty of people who do not have phones that can upgrade that far. Are there alternative ways to enforce an application update other than uninstalling and reinstalling the application without the version (or will sending down a config without a version after one was originally pinned force it to update to latest?)
