HTTP operation not permitted
Hi everyone, I’m developing an app called FindMyNet that allows users to find the best internet provider based on their postal code (CAP). The app is built with Xcode and the macOS simulator. I’ve set up a FastAPI backend that communicates with an Excel database containing internet provider data for each postal code. Unfortunately, when I try to run the app, I encounter an error that prevents me from retrieving data from the database and displaying the correct provider. Task <6B5C86B6-181A-4235-AE68-23AAF6645683>.<1> finished with error [1] Error Domain=NSPOSIXErrorDomain Code=1 "Operation not permitted" UserInfo={_NSURLErrorFailingURLSessionTaskErrorKey=LocalDataTask <6B5C86B6-181A-4235-AE68-23AAF6645683>.<1>, _kCFStreamErrorDomainKey=1, _kCFStreamErrorCodeKey=1, _NSURLErrorRelatedURLSessionTaskErrorKey=( "LocalDataTask <6B5C86B6-181A-4235-AE68-23AAF6645683>.<1>" ), _NSURLErrorNWPathKey=satisfied (Path is satisfied), interface: en0[802.11], ipv4, dns, uses wifi} Problem description: • The FastAPI backend is running on a Raspberry Pi and communicates with the app via an HTTP request. • When I enter a postal code, the app should return the best provider for that region, but I only get a 500 error. • I’ve verified that the FastAPI server is running, but it seems there’s an issue with communication between the app and the server. Steps taken so far: • I’ve checked the logs on the FastAPI server, but there are no obvious errors. • I’ve manually tested the API using Postman, and it works fine, so the issue seems to be app-side. Support request: I’d like to understand better what could be causing this error and if anyone has had similar experiences. Any advice on diagnosing the problem or solutions for resolving it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your help!

Live Caller ID Lookup - CipherMLError.missingSecre t Ke y error
I'm trying to implement live caller id PIR server in python and I have an issue related to evaluation key config. I don't receive the POST /key request even if I try to install the extension on new device and I had this error in device system logs: error 11:21:30.663022+0200 ciphermld requestData(byKeywords:shardIds:clientConfig:) threw an error: CipherML.CipherMLError.missingSecre t Ke y I think the reason why the evaluation key is not generated is related to this error but I'm not sure. It might be also related to HE params - I tried with the same params as in swift server example with plaintext_modulus=17 and it works, but for plaintext_modulus=65537 on the same device the system doesn't send me the evaluation key. Is there a limitation that restricts the evaluation key generation for some HE params? There is how the entire config object that I retrieve looks like: { "configs": { "Live-C aller-ID-Lookup. Guidance on Upgrading to Production Access for Screen Time API
Hello everyone, I’m currently developing an app that uses the Family Controls API, specifically the Screen Time API. However, my current entitlement is limited to development mode, which prevents me from publishing my app on TestFlight. I have already contacted Apple Developer Support for production access but wanted to reach out to the community as well and I was referenced to FamilyControls API documentation and I couldn't find anything related to my case. Has anyone successfully upgraded their entitlement from development-only to production? Any insights on the process, tips for communicating with Developer Support, or guidance on ensuring full compliance with the Family Controls guidelines would be extremely helpful.

CarKeyRemoteControlSession always returning empty
We are developing an iOS app to connect to vehicles and trigger predefined vehicle controls (door lock/unlock) via the Digital Key framework. We are currently blocked on several aspects and would appreciate your expertise to clarify the following queries. How can we list down connected vehicle information? What is the method to retrieve connection status? How can we perform vehicle control actions (e.g., door lock/unlock)? STEPS TO REPRODUCE Starting the CarKeyRemoteControlSession to Fetch Vehicle Reports Currently, we are using the following API to start a CarKeyRemoteControlSession: open class func start( delegate: any CarKeyRemoteControlSessionDelegate, subscriptionRange subscriptionFunctionIDRange: ClosedRange? = nil, with delegateCallbackQueue: DispatchQueue? = nil ) async throws -> CarKeyRemoteControlSession After successfully creating the session, we check for vehicle reports using the vehicleReports property of CarKeyRemoteControlSession: public var vehicleReports: [VehicleReport] { get throws }

On-Demand Resources Update
Hi, I have a question about On-Demand Resources, I tried to put some bundles into the Initial Install Tags and Download Only On Demand, and I uploaded the build to TestFlight, then I tried to make 2 builds, and the sample is like this: Build A: Initial Install Tags have 100 Tags. Download Only On Demand have 5 Tags. Build B: all contents of Initial Install Tags are the same as in Build A. Download Only On Demand are the same as Build A but I added 5 more tags, so the total is 10 tags, 5 tags that are the same as Build A and 5 new tags. Then I tried to download Build A for the first time which is in TestFlight, and it runs normally, Initial Install Tags are downloaded when the main app is downloaded and Download Only On Demand is downloaded when I request the tag. However, when I tried to update to Build B which is in TestFlight, why are the Initial Install Tags deleted? and why should it be downloaded via request? not when the main app is downloaded? has anyone ever experienced something like this? Thanks!

NFC Certificate Request for Apple Wallet Pass Rejected – Need Assistance for EV Charging Station Use Case.
Hello Apple Developer Team/Community, I am working on developing an Apple Wallet pass with NFC functionality for our electric vehicle (EV) charging stations. The goal is to enable a "tap-to-start charging" feature, providing a seamless and efficient experience for users. However, my request for an NFC certificate to enable this functionality has been rejected. Here is a summary of my use case and actions taken so far: 1. Use Case: The Wallet pass will allow users to initiate charging sessions by tapping their iPhones or Apple Watches on the EV charger. This feature aims to simplify the process by eliminating the need for additional apps, physical cards, or manual inputs. It enhances accessibility and aligns with Apple’s goals of providing users with secure and convenient solutions. 2. Steps Taken: Submitted the NFC certificate request with a detailed explanation of the functionality. Included diagrams and supporting documents demonstrating the workflow and system readiness. Received a rejection without clear guidance on how to address the issue. 3. Technical Readiness: Our backend is fully prepared to support NFC passes, including secure processing of tap events and payload encryption. The Wallet pass has been configured to include the nfc field with the required encryptionPublicKey. Request for Assistance: Could you provide guidance on improving my application to meet Apple’s criteria for NFC certificates? Are there specific requirements or examples of successful NFC-enabled Wallet pass applications that I can use as a reference? If anyone has faced a similar rejection, what steps did you take to get approval? Additional Information: Use case: EV charging stations NFC functionality: Tap-to-start charging session Current implementation: Pass is functional without NFC but requires NFC for seamless operation. Any advice or resources to help resolve this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time and support. Best regards, DeveloperSquillion

Records or Fields are Missing or Corrupt in Users Private CloudKit Databases (Recent Changes to CloudKit?)
Hi all, I've contacted Apple about this privately but I wanted to post this publicly too just to see if anyone else is experiencing the same issue. We use CloudKit to store "documents" (we'll call them) for our users. We use it directly, not via CoreData etc but through the lower level APIs. This has been working great for the last 9 months or so. Since a few days ago we've started receiving reports from users that their data has disappeared without a trace from their app. Obviously this is very serious and severe for us. We keep a local copy of the users data but if CloudKit tells us this data has been deleted we remove that local copy to keep in sync. Nothing has changed client side in terms of our code, and the only way we can see that could cause this, is a fetch that we perform asking for a list of the users "documents" is returning no rows/results, or possibly returning rows with invalid or missing fields. We have about 30,000 active users per day (1.5m requests/day) using CloudKit and we have only a handful of reports of this. Again this only started happening this week after 9 months of good service. Has anyone else noticed anything "strange" lately, fetches returning empty? fields missing? Is anyone at Apple aware of any recent changes to CloudKit? or outages? We're really unsure how or who should handle this and who we can escalate to? Any help appreciated. We have a workaround/mitigation on the way through review at the moment but this is a really big problem for us if we can't rely on CloudKit to remember users data reliably.

Universal link not working
I’m seeking guidance on an issue with my iOS app’s universal link for email verification. The link successfully opens my app, but the verification logic never runs. Here is my setup and the problem details: Associated Domains & AASA I have Associated Domains set to applinks:talkio.me in Xcode. The AASA file is located at https://talkio.me/.well-known/apple-app-site-association with the following contents: { "applinks": { "apps": [], "details": [ { "appID": "VMCWZ2A2KQ.com.elbaba.Flake2", "paths": [ "/verify*" ] } ] } } The direct link we send in the email looks like: https://talkio.me/verify?mode=verifyEmail&oobCode=XYZ&apiKey=ABC When tapped, the app launches, but the universal link handler code below never logs the URL nor triggers the verifyEmailUsing logic. SceneDelegate Logic In my SceneDelegate.swift, I handle universal links in both scene(:willConnectTo:options:) and scene(:continue:userActivity:restorationHandler:): func scene(_ scene: UIScene, willConnectTo session: UISceneSession, options connectionOptions: UIScene.ConnectionOptions) { // ... if let urlContext = connectionOptions.urlContexts.first { let url = urlContext.url print("SceneDelegate: App launched with URL: (url.absoluteString)") handleUniversalLink(url: url) } } func scene(_ scene: UIScene, continue userActivity: NSUserActivity, restorationHandler: @escaping ([UIUserActivityRestoring]?) -> Void) -> Bool { print("⚠️ scene(_:continue:) got called!") guard let url = userActivity.webpageURL else { print("No webpageURL in userActivity.") return false } print("SceneDelegate: Universal Link => (url.absoluteString)") handleUniversalLink(url: url) return true } private func handleUniversalLink(url: URL) { let urlString = url.absoluteString if let oobCode = getQueryParam(urlString, named: "oobCode") { verifyEmailUsing(oobCode) } else { print("No oobCode found => not a verify link.") } } // ... Expected Log: SceneDelegate: App launched with URL: https://talkio.me/verify?mode=verifyEmail&oobCode=XYZ&apiKey=ABC However, I only see: SceneDelegate: sceneDidBecomeActive called No mention of the universal link is printed. Result: The app opens on tapping the link but does not call handleUniversalLink(...). Consequently, Auth.auth().checkActionCode(oobCode) and Auth.auth().applyActionCode(oobCode) are never triggered. What I Tried: Verified the AASA file is served over HTTPS, with content type application/json. Reinstalled the app to refresh iOS’s associated domain cache. Confirmed my Team ID (VMCWZ2A2KQ) and Bundle ID (com.elbaba.Flake2) match in the app’s entitlements. Confirmed the link path "/verify*" matches the link structure in emails. Despite these checks, the universal link logic is not invoked. Could you help me identify why the link is not recognized as a universal link and how to ensure iOS calls my SceneDelegate methods with the correct URL? Any guidance on diagnosing or resolving this universal link issue would be greatly appreciated.

ScreenCaptureKit crashes on Mac Catalyst apps
I'm trying to use ScreenCaptureKit on a Mac Catalyst app, on macOS 12.5.1. I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong, but it crashes as soon as I try to request SCShareableContent. It crashes on internal code, calling a method it can't find, which makes me think this is a bug in the framework rather than incorrect configuration. Any hints on how to work around this problem? The crash is: ** Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSInvalidArgumentException', reason: '-[RPDaemonProxy fetchShareableContentWithOption:windowID:withCompletionHandler:]: unrecognized selector sent to instance 0x6000037d5dc0' terminating with uncaught exception of type NSException ScreenCaptureKit-Crash.txt

How can I stop CPNavigationSession properly on CarPlay disconnect
Hi there, I'm facing an issue when disconnecting CarPlay that the navigation session seems to be in some weird state where it is not properly finished. So when I reconnect CarPlay the "Metadata in instrument cluster or HUD" does not update anymore until I start another navigation session and stop that one. You can see that the instruction to the left on this screen recording is not updating anymore after a reconnect. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sncxyJULjQk I have a modified the CostalRoad sample app to add support for the HUD cluster and to auto start a navigation simulation when CarPlay connects. https://github.com/g4rb4g3/CoastalRoads Can anyone tell me what I have to do when CarPlay disconnect so I can start a new navigation session on reconnect that has a working HUD cluster? Fun fact is that Apple Maps handles this quite nice (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OpJEIyGcwdo), it somehow manages to finish the navigation session and brings up the HUD cluster just fine on reconnect. I wonder how I can achieve the same, anyone having an idea on that?
