StoreKit sandbox purchase and product fetch not working (IAPError: storekit_no_response)
💬 Post Content Hello everyone, I’m currently testing In-App Purchases (auto-renewable subscriptions) for my iOS app, and I’m experiencing an issue where the product information cannot be fetched from StoreKit. ❓ Questions For sandbox testing, is it absolutely necessary to submit a new app version for review (with the in-app purchase included)? Or can I test subscriptions without submitting a new build to App Review? Under what conditions does the error IAPError(code: storekit_no_response, source: app_store, message: StoreKit: Failed to get response from platform.) 🧪 What I’ve Tried • Confirmed that the bundle identifier matches the App Store Connect record • Verified that In-App Purchase capability is enabled in Xcode • Ensured the sandbox tester account is logged in (Settings → App Store) • Removed the StoreKit configuration file to use the sandbox environment • Tried both real device and simulator (same error) • Accepted the Paid Apps Agreement in App Store Connect • Products are created but currently not yet submitted for review 🔍 Environment • App type: iOS app built with Flutter (using in_app_purchase plugin) • Build type: Archive build installed via Xcode (Run on device) and testFlight • StoreKit Configuration File: Currently removed (for sandbox test); • Status: Ready to submit in App Store Connect

Python App. Sandbox testing IAP Auto Renewal Subscription
I have created a Python app and built it with pyinstaller and codesigned everything. Now I want to Sandbox test it. In my appstore connect account i have created a subscriptions id. I read that if I am logged out from the AppStore and have codesigned my .app file with a Developer Certificate i should be able to run the app on my local mac and when i click on the "Buy" button it should connect to my app store connect setup. I have implemented StoreKit in my app and use a storekit_bridge to combine the .swift code with my python app. However when i run the app. I get this: "25-07-24 21:01:12,557 - FEC - WARNING - StoreKit: fetchProducts returned empty result 2025-07-24 21:01:12,557 - FEC - INFO - StoreKit fetch_products returned: {"products": []} 2025-07-24 21:01:12,557 - FEC - ERROR - StoreKit: Failed to parse product info: No products returned from JSON" And no login screen appears where I should be able to enter my Sandbox email adress and password. Anyone here who has experience with a Python app combined with In App Purchases? Hope someone can help me out with this.

AppTransactionId support in Get Transaction Info endpoint — documentation change and actual behavior?
Hello, I have a question regarding the App Store Server API's getTransactionInfo endpoint. Previously, the official documentation for getTransactionInfo mentioned that: “This endpoint doesn’t support an app transaction. To get information about an app transaction, decode the signed app transaction received from the device.” However, as of June 2025, I can no longer find this sentence in the current documentation (link). Now, the docs state that all in-app purchase transaction IDs are supported (consumable, non-consumable, auto-renewable subscriptions, etc.). But in practice, when I call getTransactionInfo with an AppTransactionId (extracted from a signed App Transaction JWS), I receive this error: apiErrorCode: 4000048 “Invalid request. App transactions aren’t supported by this endpoint.” Is this endpoint supposed to support AppTransactionId now, or is the restriction still in place (but not mentioned in the docs)? Is there any official statement about when this restriction was added/removed? Can you clarify if only in-app purchase transaction IDs (and not AppTransactionIds) are supported for this endpoint, or has the policy changed recently? Any clarification or historical context would be greatly appreciated. Additionally, I would like to know about the behavior of an App Transaction in the event of a refund. If a user receives a refund for the app itself (not an in-app purchase), how can changes to the AppTransaction be detected? Does the App Store Server Notification v2 provide notifications for app-level refunds, or are such events only visible by decoding the latest App Transaction JWS on the device? Is there any way to receive app-level refund information server-side, or must we always rely on the device to provide the updated signed app transaction? Any clarification on this refund flow and notification coverage would also be appreciated. Thank you!

Encountered issues when calling the sandbox environment interface to verify receipts during the development of the payment function
Currently, we are using the Apple V2 interface to develop the payment function. We generate a transaction ID on the mobile client and obtain the receipt. Now, when we call the Apple sandbox environment interface to verify the receipt, we always get a 404 error. The above is the request and response. The token used in it is also the original data after decoding, and there is no problem. Could you help me figure out what other possible reasons there might be?

Expo Store review
Hi does anyone have trouble using expo store review package for ios apps. for some reason on our app., the review may show for certain people, but when they submit a review, it doesn't update our review count

subscriptionPeriod.unit returns both .week AND .day for weekly subscriptions?
After creating a new weekly subscription option, I get inconsistent results for subscriptionPeriod. In local testing with a synced or a un-synced StoreKit file I am getting unit == .week (as expected) whereas in TestFlight I am getting unit == .day. This makes unit.localizedDescriptionsomewhat unusable in the paywall. Am I missing something? Or is this bug or a limitation of StoreKit and/or TestFlight and/or newly created subscription options? StoreKit JWT Verification Failing - Expired Certificate in x5c Chain Body
Starting around October 12, 2025 at 19:51 UTC, we're seeing intermittent failures when verifying StoreKit transaction JWTs. The issue appears to be related to certificate expiration in the x5c chain in the JWT tokens provided by Apple. What We're Seeing Some JWTs are being signed with different certificates. Some work, some fail certificate validation. Old Certificate (Expired - causing failures): Subject: Prod ECC Mac App Store and iTunes Store Receipt Signing Issuer: Apple Worldwide Developer Relations Certification Authority (G6) Serial: 166451396673336810269824643773700992094 Valid From: 2023-09-12 19:51:53 UTC Valid To: 2025-10-11 19:51:52 UTC ❌ EXPIRED New Certificate (Valid - working): Subject: Prod ECC Mac App Store and iTunes Store Receipt Signing Issuer: Apple Worldwide Developer Relations Certification Authority (G6) Serial: 95385247725814954943813376527885434295 Valid From: 2025-09-19 19:44:51 UTC Valid To: 2027-10-13 17:47:23 UTC ✓ VALID Current Status Most JWTs use the new valid certificate. Some JWTs still use the expired certificate. This appears inconsistent/random. I don't know if it's an issue with some of Apple's servers, or an issue with StoreKit on-device cache, but seems to me like a bug on Apple's side either way. Are we missing something? Is this a known issue? Any guidance or timeline from Apple would be greatly appreciated, as this is blocking legitimate paying users.

Cannot see support instruction pages or entitlement request page for external purchase links.
Hello! I am trying to get my app set up to support external payments. The snag I am hitting at the moment is it seems that relevant pages are not accessible? There is this old EU doc https://developer.apple.com/support/apps-using-alternative-payment-providers-in-the-eu/ But the more updated US doc titled "Distributing apps in the U.S. that provide an external purchase link - Support" is not available where it should be https://developer.apple.com/support/storekit-external-entitlement-us/ In addition the link for requesting the entitlement seems to be broken https://developer.apple.com/contact/request/storekit-external-entitlement-us/ Any idea how one can access these? Perhaps this is just a temporary error?

Biometric Authentication Behavior in IAP Sandbox Environment
Where the problem occurs: In-app purchase Non-ApplePay Non-local authentication login Environment where the problem occurs: Sandbox environment (Development environment, TestFlight environment) Problem handling process: Open page A in the app and purchase product B (auto-renewable subscription) on that page. User authentication is required to purchase product B. During the authentication process, the user needs to enter the Apple account and Apple account password. After completing the authentication, complete the purchase of product B. Problem in step 3: Why is FaceID or TouchID not used for authentication? Note: Face ID and Password -> iTunes Store and App Store -> Status is Enabled

Subscription Cancellation
Hi Team, I’ve successfully implemented the subscription flow for my app. However, I’m currently facing challenges related to testing the cancellation behavior for auto-renewable subscriptions. Specifically: I’m unable to locate the correct payload structure for the following test endpoint: https://api.storekit-sandbox.itunes.apple.com/inApps/v1/notifications/test I’m also unclear on how to simulate or complete the full lifecycle of a subscription (including cancellation) using Apple’s sandbox environment or APIs. Could you please guide me on how to: Retrieve or construct the proper payload for the test notification API? Simulate a cancellation flow end-to-end in the sandbox for auto-renewable subscriptions?

How to properly handle StoreKitError or PurchaseError from product.purchase()
Hello! We are implementing consumable IAP for iOS using StoreKit 2 together with our own server backend. Our happy path looks like this: 1. Call /prepare on our server • We only allow one purchase at a time, so this fails if a pending transaction already exists. 2. Call /purchase via StoreKit 3. If successful, call /complete on our server 4. Call .finish() on the Transaction ⸻ The Problem Some users report being charged by Apple but not receiving coins. I suspect this happens in rare cases where the purchase flow throws an exception: • Every time we throw, we immediately cancel the transaction on our server. • However, some errors may actually be temporary. StoreKit seems to recover by later sending an update through Transactions.updates. • When that happens, since the transaction was already canceled on our server, we cannot match it. As a result, we just call .finish() without granting consumables. ⸻ Additional Observations From user logs, the issue tends to appear when the following errors are reported: • リクエストを完了できません。 • Triggered by: StoreKit.notEntitled • Triggered by: StoreKit.unknown • ヘルパーアプリケーションと通信できませんでした。 I was not able to reproduce the last one, even when testing all possible StoreKit configuration errors. 'Invalid value for purchase intake' error
Hello, I recently saw this error from StoreKit in the Console - 'Invalid value for purchase intake' - while debugging a SKPayment subscription issue (where a valid receipt should be verified and restored, but isn't for one user). I haven't been able to find any documentation about this message and wondered if it was related at all. There were two other logs from StoreKit right before saying: 'Found 3 products in receipt with ID' 'Processing ad attribution purchase intake' Does anyone know what 'invalid value for purchase intake' is referencing? We don't have the AdAttributionKit implemented. It sounds like it might be related to that instead? Thank you

StoreKit Products Load After Rebuild But Not on Fresh Install (iOS/SwiftUI)
Problem: I'm implementing StoreKit 2 in my SwiftUI app. Products load successfully when I rebuild in Xcode, but on a fresh install, Product.products(for:) returns an empty array. The paywall shows "Unable to load pricing." Setup: Using StoreKit Configuration File ( .storekit ) for testing Product IDs match exactly between config and code: com..premium.lifetime (non-consumable) com..premium.monthly (auto-renewable subscription) com.****.premium.yearly (auto-renewable subscription) StoreKitManager is a @MainActor singleton with @Published properties What I've Tried: Initial delay before loading - Added 1-second delay in init before calling loadProducts() Product ID verification - Confirmed IDs match exactly between StoreKitConfig.storekit and code Retry logic with exponential backoff - Implemented 3 retry attempts with 0.5s/1s/1.5s delays Multiple calls to updatePurchasedProducts() - Called twice after initial load Verified StoreKit configuration - File is properly added to project, has valid product definitions Code Structure: swift @MainActor final class StoreKitManager: ObservableObject { static let shared = StoreKitManager() @Published private(set) var products: [Product] = [] private init() { updateListenerTask = listenForTransactions() Task { try? await Task.sleep(nanoseconds: 1_000_000_000) await loadProducts() // Returns empty on fresh install await updatePurchasedProducts() } } } Observations: ✅ Works perfectly after Xcode rebuild ❌ Fails on fresh app install (simulator & device) ❌ Product.products(for:) returns empty array (no error thrown) ✅ StoreKit configuration file is valid and properly configured Question: Why does StoreKit need a rebuild to recognize products?
