cant test in app purchases without it defaulting to family sharing request
hi, when i test an in app purchase with my sandbox acount i get: "ask permission. a request to buy ** will be sent to your parent or gardian (environment: sandbox)" When i made the sandbox account, i didnt see any option to set my age. What am i missing here, I dont seem to be able to fully test in app purchases since my sandbox accounts always defualt to this family sharing thing? Thanks

TestFlight Subscription Upgrade Handling
Looking for assistance in managing subscription upgrades for TestFlight users. I have a few monthly subscriptions, 30days, each with a different set of available features, 1 with all, and 1 with fewer. (All are in proper order and grouped in App Store connection subscriptions) subscribing seems to be working fine, and purchasing an upgrade is going ok. what is not: reflecting the upgraded plan in app (currently reflects it will start in 30days when current subscription expires) I’m lead to believe this will be resolved with a live app in App Store, that will then handle prorating, terminate the old plan and immediately start the new one. looking for help getting TestFlight to show immediate upgrades.

subscriptionGroupLookups API returns 404 - No LookUp Key assigned to my subscription group
Hello, I'm encountering an issue when trying to use the subscriptionGroupLookups endpoint in the App Store Connect API. Despite having the correct setup, I continue to receive a 404 NOT FOUND error when making requests to: GET https://api.appstoreconnect.apple.com/v1/subscriptionGroupLookups Here is the current state of my environment: I am the Account Holder of the App Store Connect account The App Store Connect API key has been successfully created I have the correct Key ID, Issuer ID, and .p8 private key I can authenticate and access the apps and subscriptionGroups endpoints However, the subscriptionGroupLookups endpoint always returns: { "errors": [ { "status": "404", "code": "NOT_FOUND", "title": "The specified resource does not exist" } ] } I suspect that LookUp Keys (UUIDs) have not been assigned to our subscription groups, even though they were created and are active in App Store Connect. There is no “Request Access” button visible under the Integrations tab (as mentioned in Apple support instructions), and my keys appear under “App Store Connect API” > “Keys” as active. Questions: How can I ensure that LookUp Keys are assigned to my subscription groups? Is there a way to trigger this manually or via support? Has anyone successfully resolved this? Any advice or experience would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Inconsistent appTransactionId in Transaction History
Issue Description When using the App Store Server API endpoint GET v2/history/{transactionId} to retrieve transaction history for a specific transaction, I'm observing unexpected changes in the appTransactionId field across related transactions in the same subscription group. Important Context: This is a "clean" auto-renewable subscription with no user intervention - the user has had continuous auto-renewals without any upgrades, downgrades, cancellations, or resubscriptions. The subscription has been renewing automatically and successfully throughout the entire period. This is particularly puzzling since this is a straightforward auto-renewal scenario. How should we handle this in our backend logic? Should we treat transactions with different appTransactionId values as separate entities, or should we rely on originalTransactionId for grouping related subscription transactions? Is this a known issue? We've seen similar concerns in the community regarding transaction ID inconsistencies, but this specific case involves a clean auto-renewal flow without any complicating factors.

Advanced commerce API - dynamic subscriptions
Hello, We have been approved for the Advanced commerce API and we are trying to implement dynamically created subscriptions via the SubscriptionCreateRequest. We followed the Sending Advanced Commerce API requests from your app (https://developer.apple.com/documentation/storekit/sending-advanced-commerce-api-requests-from-your-app) documentation but we are not able to make it work correctly. We created a generic subscription in the Appstore connect, product ID: com.example.subscription Then in the app we load the subscription: try await Product.products(for: ["com.example.subscription"]) We do the JWS serialization on our backend and then we wrap the jwt and convert it to Data in the app as this: let request = """ { "signatureInfo": { "token": "\(result.signedPayload)" } } """ let advancedCommerceRequestData = Data(request.utf8) Lastly, we apply the purchase options on the generic product as this: try await product.purchase( options: [ Product.PurchaseOption.custom( key: "advancedCommerceData", value: advancedCommerceRequestData ) ] ) It doesn't show any error, but on the payment sheet it shows the data from the generic subscription and not the data that was in the SubscriptionCreateRequest. Unexpected notificationType in App Store Server Notifications V2 when free trial ends
In my app’s IAP products, before enabling free trials, the App Store Server Notifications V2 callbacks all returned the correct notificationType. For auto-renewable subscriptions, when they were about to expire, the notificationType was either DID_RENEW or EXPIRED. A small number of cases(DID_FAIL_TO_RENEW) failed to renew due to billing issues, which was expected. However, after I enabled a 7-day free trial for the auto-renewable products, I noticed that in the App Store Server Notifications V2 callbacks, almost all users (except those who manually turned off auto-renewal) received notificationType = DID_FAIL_TO_RENEW. According to the documentation, DID_FAIL_TO_RENEW indicates a billing issue renewal failure, but in this case it seems like all renewals are being marked as failed. I’ve observed that for users who cancel during the free trial, the callbacks look normal: first a DID_CHANGE_RENEWAL_STATUS notification, then an EXPIRED notification when the trial ends. That flow seems correct. However, for users who do not cancel the trial, almost all callbacks show DID_FAIL_TO_RENEW. Does this mean every remaining user has a billing issue? I also noticed on the Developer Forums that other developers have reported the same issue — receiving a large number of DID_FAIL_TO_RENEW notifications specifically when free trials convert to paid subscriptions: https://developer.apple.com/forums/search?q=DID_FAIL_TO_RENEW Could someone clarify: under normal circumstances, when a free trial transitions to a paid subscription and fails, should the App Store Server Notifications V2 notificationType indeed be DID_FAIL_TO_RENEW, or should it be a different type(e.g. EXPIRED)? Auto Renew Subscription Model
Hi, I want to offer an auto-renewable subscription (e.g., $1/month) that grants users (10 document analyses per month), with the count resetting at the start of each billing cycle. -Unused analyses will not roll over to the next month- Additionally, any analyses generated while the subscription is active will remain accessible to the user permanently, even if they cancel the subscription. The paywall, app description, and metadata will clearly state that the subscription grants (10 document analyses per month with no rollover) We want this to be implemented as an auto-renewable subscription model, not as a consumable service or a token/credit system (which we want to avoid). Is this model acceptable under Apple’s guidelines, or would it be considered a token/credit system? Any insights or alternative suggestions would be appreciated.. Thanks

Urgent: Reports of Duplicate Charges via AlipayHK on Apple Pay
We’ve recently observed an escalating number of complaints from AlipayHK users regarding duplicate charges when completing transactions via Apple Pay. While no similar issues have been reported by users of other credit card providers integrated with Apple Pay, the problem appears isolated to AlipayHK transactions. Key Details: Multiple users confirm being charged twice for single transactions. Complaints are increasing in frequency, indicating a potential systemic issue. No overlapping reports from non-AlipayHK payment methods at this time. To safeguard customer trust and ensure seamless payment experiences, we kindly request Apple’s support in: Investigating whether the root cause stems from Apple Pay’s transaction handling. Collaborating with AlipayHK (if necessary) to resolve the issue promptly. Providing guidance on interim measures to prevent further duplicate charges. In iOS 26 beta3 version, the finishTransaction method is unable to remove transactions from the SKPaymentQueue, causing transactions to remain in the queue even after being processed.
We have some users who have upgraded to iOS 26 beta3. Currently, we observe that when these users make in-app purchases, our code calls [[SKPaymentQueue defaultQueue] finishTransaction:transaction]; method, and we clearly receive the successful removal callback in the delegate method - (void)paymentQueue:(SKPaymentQueue *)queue removedTransactions:(NSArray<SKPaymentTransaction *> *)transactions. However, when users click on products with the same productId again, the method - (void)paymentQueue:(SKPaymentQueue *)queue updatedTransactions:(NSArray *)transactions still returns information about previously removed transactions, preventing users from making further in-app purchases.

Screen Rocorder plus Front Camera
I want to build an app for ios using react native. preferably expo. The app will be for recording user experiences with technology. the SLUDGE that they face while navigating through technology. I want to have basic login, signup. The main feature would be to have 2 recording modes. First is record the screen and the front camera simultaneously. Second is to record the back camera and the front camera simultaneously. I can then patch the two outputs later on that is the screen recording and the front camera clip in post processing. I want to know if this is possible as I was told that react native and expo does not have the support yet. if not is there any library or another approach to make this app come alive.

StoreKit 2 – IAP Subscriptions Not Appearing in Sandbox
I am experiencing an issue with my iOS app where StoreKit 2 in-app subscriptions are not appearing when using Product.products(for:). I have done all the necessary configurations, but the products still return an empty array ([]). Here are the details of my setup: • App ID / Bundle ID: com.tstore.vocabely • Product IDs: • com.tstore.vocabely.base • com.tstore.vocabely.pro • com.tstore.vocabely.ultimate • Paid Apps Agreement: Active • IAP Status in App Store Connect: Ready to Submit / Approved • Testing Environment: • Device: iPhone (real device) • iOS Version: [insert your iOS version] • Xcode Version: [insert your Xcode version] • Sandbox Tester Account used • Code Snippet: Using Product.products(for: productIDs) in StoreKitManager to fetch products I have verified: • Product IDs match exactly with App Store Connect • Paid Apps Agreement is Active • Using a real device, not a simulator • Sandbox account is properly signed in Despite all of this, fetchProducts() still returns an empty array. Old developer account still receiving payments after migration
Hi, I've migrated my app to another developer account more than half a year ago, but I'm still receiving a few transaction payments in the old developer account, which currently has no app. The payment date shown in the report is last month. I'm wondering how could this happen. Is it possible for users to initiate a transaction half a year ago and only successfully pay it now?

(verifyreceipt) I cannot verify from the server whether the user's iap payment is successful or not
I have three questions about verify receipt I use this api (https://buy.itunes.apple.com/verifyReceipt)to verify receipt is success or not. But since last month, this interface has started to return an error(21002). I see this document (https://developer.apple.com/documentation/appstorereceipts/verifyreceipt) say its Deprecated. My question is, is the error suddenly returned recently because the interface has been deprecated or for some other reason? (I haven't modified my code about this recently) 2. I can not understand this document: (https://developer.apple.com/documentation/appstorereceipts/validating_receipts_on_the_device) Does this mean that in the new version, as long as the app returns a payment success (purchaseDetails.status == PurchaseStatus.purchased), the payment is guaranteed to be successful, and my server does not need to request payment result verification from Apple's server? 3. Does scheduling a price change of a subscription while keeping the original price for existing subscribers trigger messaging to those users?
We're planning on increasing the price of our ios in-app subscription. We will select the option "Keep the current price for existing subscribers" Reading this https://developer.apple.com/help/app-store-connect/manage-subscriptions/manage-pricing-for-auto-renewable-subscriptions/, it's not clear if existing subscribers will be notified of the change in pricing (even though that change won't impact them) or not?
