I have created a Python app and built it with pyinstaller and codesigned everything. Now I want to Sandbox test it. In my appstore connect account i have created a subscriptions id. I read that if I am logged out from the AppStore and have codesigned my .app file with a Developer Certificate i should be able to run the app on my local mac and when i click on the "Buy" button it should connect to my app store connect setup. I have implemented StoreKit in my app and use a storekit_bridge to combine the .swift code with my python app.

A customer of mine signed up for a free trial. I got a apple server notification with notification type DID_RENEW. What does that mean? Does that mean that they will be charged the subscription price now?
I am looking to move from paid app to fremium without upsetting my existing users. I see WWDC2022 session where new fields introduced in iOS 16 are used to extract original application version user used to purchase the app. While my app supports iOS 14 and above, I am willing to sacrifice iOS 14 and go iOS 15 and above as StoreKit2 requires iOS 15 at the minimum. The code below is however only valid for iOS 16. I need to know what is the best way out for iOS 15 devices if I am using StoreKit2? If it is not possible in StoreKit2, then how much is the work involved in original StoreKit API(because in that case I can handle for iOS 14 as well)?

I’m particularly puzzled by the fact that I receive a 404 error when trying to retrieve the public keys from the StoreKit keys endpoint. Has anyone encountered this issue or can provide insight into what might be causing the error?

I cannot explain how frustrating this is. Not that I want to compare to Android, but in 3 years of QA Testing my app, Android works like a dream, while iOS fights with me EVERY SINGLE STEP OF THE WAY.
Hopefully someone here can tell me what I am missing/doing wrong/which god I must appease to get this to work.
I have 3 REAL iPhones of varying iOS versions and ages. But they are all proper actual iPhones. We use google accounts at this company, so my primary email is a gmail one.
I have created MANY sandbox accounts inside App Store Connect. Currently I have 2, and 2 of my devices (both 14's one of which is a Pro) have my Primary account as the main account for the device. But they both also have a Sandbox account which is simply my main email with a +sandbox in it to make it a new unique email.
Here is the problem, nothing works as expected ever. I can install my Staging and Production apps from TestFlight, then I can make a subscription purchase as a customer would and I SHOULD see that subscription in my Sandbox right? That's the point of a Sandbox and TestFlight is it not? But in ALL cases whenever I try to view my 'Sandbox Subscriptions' it tells me I don't have any.
Now, sometimes, very occasionally, I get a specific error message inside my app when attempting to make a purchase, this one states something like 'You already have a subscription, please restore it instead...' which makes no sense. Since it clearly states that I have none. But this message has a 'Manage' button to manage my subscriptions, tapping it lads me to a windows which amazing DOES have a subscription in it. But attempting to 'Cancel' it does nothing, just refreshes the screen to be the same.
Now I think that this subscription is actually attached to the primary account on the device and NOT the sandbox account. So when this happens I cannot subscribe, I cannot restore, and I cannot manually alter the subscription within iOS. So I am stuck at this point.
What am I doing wrong, am I setting this all up in the wrong order? Do I need to install some kind of profile or security cert, do I need to give a pint of blood to Imhotep? What am I missing. I even once sat on the phone for 90 minutes with an Apple Support Rep who took me through it step by step, same result.
Also I just noticed that inside 'App Store Connect' when you look at the list of 'Sandbox' accounts there is a column for 'Last Purchase' which is entirely blank, apparently after a year of use I have NEVER purchased on the Sandbox, which is another reason I think my subs are going to the main email, not the sandbox one. I tried using the sandbox email as the main account for the whole device, I can't recall the result but it was worse and didn't work at all. So that's not it.

All I really want to know is how to fully setup a real actual iPhone for TestFlight and Sandbox testing of a app. WHat order do I create accounts, validate emails, attach to devices, login with etc etc etc. Step by step, nothing no matter how mundane missed out. A true idiots guide to making this work for me. Testing this on Android always takes 5 mins. iPhone, I'm lucky if I am done in half a day.

Hi there,
We have an app targeted for children and we want to use the SkAdNetwork to track installs for campaigns.
We don't want to track further in-app events (purchase etc.), just the install event.
We added the SDK to our Unity app, listed the network identifiers in the plist file, configured the external campaign according to their instructions, but struggle to see any events for several weeks now.
We see the following logs in the app:
Registering install attribution pingback.
Failed to migrate Install Attribution database schema from 17001 => 17400.
SkAdNetwork: No pingbacks found while attempting to register/update.
Error setting install attribution pingback registered for app: 1509727806, error: Error Domain=ASDErrorDomain code=1208
How can we debug this further? What does the error mean?

Lets say I will only allow credit card from Singapore.

How can I get the region region currently used in the macOS App Store? Preferably via Swift libraries, but any command / function will suffice.
The following StoreKit property seems to always return the region for the Apple Account associated with my macOS user.

My macOS Apple Account region is US; in the App Store, when I sign into a different Apple Account whose region is GB (UK), Storefront.current?.countryCode continues to return US, not GB (or UK).
I correctly see prices in pounds instead of in dollars, British spelling instead of American spelling, apps listed in my purchased tab for the UK (not the US) Apple Account, and, in the Account Settings dialog, the UK Apple Account email address, billing address & Country/Region set to United Kingdom.
I didn't get any relevant results from the following command lines:

Maybe Storefront.current?.countryCode only specifies the country code for the Storefront that will be used for in-app purchases, instead of for purchasing new apps from the App Store; maybe the former is tied to the Apple Account for the macOS user, instead of to the Apple Account for the App Store. If that's the case, what other mechanism can I use to obtain the country code for the App Store storefront?
We sell magazines through a third party app platform called Pocketmags and our website. The magazines have Print, Digital and Combo options available for purchase. Also, this third party app provides the platform to read the digital version of the magazines.
Once a user buys a subscription on the website, he/she receives the email with the login information on PocketMags, where he registers his login details and can start reading his subscription. With us, the customer shares his billing/shipping address along with their email id while they make payment.
Now we have our own app where through which we want to sell these magazines and have to integrate In-App purchase for selling these digital subscriptions. How do we send the 3rd party subscription access details on email to the user if they do in app purchase?
In my understanding, with the latest court ruling in the US, iOS apps may decide to support web-based payments for subscriptions and in-app purchases. However, are we allowed to exclusively support web-based payments and not implement StoreKit at all?

I have a renewing monthly subscription in my app and recently added upgrade possibilities to yearly and 6 month subscriptions. Those new subscriptions were reviewed, approved and published to App Store.
I'm showing a modal for users in the app from where they can upgrade their subscription. Upgrading was tested with real devices on Sandbox and TestFlight. There has been successful purchases through the in app modal in production app, and directly upgrading from App Store.
However, for some users there seems to happen a failed transaction with paymentCancelled error code during the upgrade. The IAP is still successful, their subscription is upgraded and they haven't voluntarily canceled the IAP. The localized description of the error is "Toimintoa ei voitu suorittaa. (Virhe 2 kohteessa SKErrorDomain.)" which translates to "The operation could not be completed. (Error 2 in SKErrorDomain.)"
These users have various iPhones (iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 16 Pro) with up to date iOS versions (>= 18.3.1).
I'm receiving DID_CHANGE_RENEWAL_PREF (UPGRADE) server notification of these purchases on my server.
I haven't been able to reproduce this error myself.
Any ideas why StoreKit might fail the transaction with paymentCancelled error but still successfully upgrade the subscription?

We are developing our app with an approved External Link Account Entitlement.
During the development process (such as installing from Xcode or creating an Ad-hoc build and installing it on a phone), the open() function of the External Link Account API displays the modal our native language. The app only localized to that language.
However, after uploading the app with the same configuration to TestFlight, the modal somehow appears in English instead.
What could be causing this issue with the External Link Account modal? How can the open() function display the modal in another language when installed from Xcode or an Ad-hoc release build, but in English when installed from TestFlight? How can we show only our native lanugage version only to our Users?

Hello, I’m trying to change the business model of my app to in-app subscriptions. My goal is to ensure that previous users who paid for the app have access to all premium content seamlessly, without even noticing any changes.
I’ve tried using RevenueCat for this, but I’m not entirely sure it’s working as expected. I would like to use RevenueCat to manage subscriptions, so I’m attempting a hybrid model. On the first launch of the updated app, the plan is to validate the app receipts, extract the originalAppVersion, and store it in a variable. If the original version is lower than the latest paid version, the isPremium variable is set to true, and this status propagates throughout the app. For users with versions equal to or higher than the latest paid version, RevenueCat will handle the subscription status—checking if a subscription is active and determining whether to display the paywall for premium features.
In a sandbox environment, it seems to work fine, but I’ve often encountered situations where the receipt doesn’t exist. I haven’t found a way to test this behavior properly in production. For example, I uploaded the app to TestFlight, but it doesn’t validate the actual transaction for a previously purchased version of the app. Correct me if I’m wrong, but it seems TestFlight doesn’t confirm whether I installed or purchased a paid version of the app.
I need to be 100% sure that users who previously paid for the app won’t face any issues with this migration. Is there any method to verify this behavior in a production-like scenario that I might not be aware of?

Inquire the types of notifications that can occur in a SANDBOX environment
Hello, WWDC 2024 is trying to conduct a test to receive notifications related to ONE_TIME_CHARGE, CONNSUMPTION_REQUEST, CONMSUMPTION_INFO, REFUND, and REFUND_DECLINED as described in the example of purchasing consumables, but as a result of the continuous search, I found that it is difficult to occur except for
ONE_TIME_CHARGE.
So, in order to verify only the business logic as shown below, we are testing only the business logic without actually calling the API after purchasing the test and saving the signaled Payload that we received in response to ONE_TIME_CHARGE. Can we actually request a refund for the test purchase and receive the corresponding notification and actually send the response?

Regarding the call of 'CONSUMPTION_INFO', which is the response of 'CONSUMPTION_REQUEST'
Is there a value that WWDC 2024 must include when sending CONMSUMPTION_INFO, which is the response to CONNSUMPTION_REQUEST described in the refund example? I'm going to call the API with only sample provision and consumption like the sample code you introduced in the video.
I was told to submit my refund preference within 12 hours, but can I submit it as UNDECLARED at first and use the method to express my intention? When I receive the notification, I will save it in the DB and save it in the administrator page of the service so that the administrator can choose.
2-1. Some of the materials I looked for are told that Apple can proceed with the refund even 12 hours ago, and to express your opinion as soon as I receive the notification, but I wonder if this is correct.
If you get a notification as below, you should write whether you used it or not by referring to the consumption information. I think the customer said to check whether the data was provided when applying for a refund. Should I take it out of decodedTransaction, check the value, and just call it NO_PREFERENCE? I'd appreciate it if you could give me some advice.

We're looking for the best way to handle App Store Server Notifications in our development setup and would appreciate some guidance.
Our Setup:
We use a single App Store Connect account for development, which supports multiple environments (e.g., staging1, staging2). Our production app lives in a separate account, so that's not an issue.
The Challenge:
We have only one configurable sandbox notification URL. This makes it difficult to route notifications to the correct development server (staging1 vs. staging2 vs developments) when a sandbox event occurs.
We're considering using a proxy server to catch all notifications and then forward them to the appropriate environment. However, we're not sure how to determine the correct destination.
Our Questions:
What's the recommended approach for managing a single sandbox notification URL across multiple development environments?
If a proxy is the best method, which parameter in the responseBodyV2 payload should we use to route the notification? How can we differentiate between our various dev environments?

Hello, I’m trying to change my business model within the app, and following Apple’s documentation guidelines HERE I created this task in the main view of the app. It seems to work perfectly in the simulator, on physical devices, and on TestFlight.
