If there is a Notification Service Extension which has the com.apple.developer.usernotifications.filtering entitlement, then does/how having that entitlement affect the preconditions for the NSE to be delivered a push?
Specifically, if the app has not prompted for requestAuthorization() is it expected that the push will be delivered to the NSE or not?
Thank you

The Apple subscription production environment receives notifications, but the same notification address successfully receives them only for sandbox payments.

Hello, previously i have tested the purchase via test flight and the server notification was sent to my sandbox url.
Now when I made the purchase from live app, my server did not receive any notification even though the production url was the same as the sandbox url.
The purchase was for a consumable product.
Please help, thanks.
I've added a Notification Service Extension as a target to my React Native iOS app following Apple's official documentation. After completing all the setup steps as outlined in the documentation, the notification titles remain unchanged - notifications are arriving without any modifications, suggesting the extension isn't functioning properly.Testing Details:
Sending notifications via Apple Push Notification Console
Tested on iPhone 16 Pro Max (physical device)
Tested on iPhone 15 Pro simulator
Both show the same issue - no title modifications
The extension appears to not be executing at all. Has anyone encountered similar issues with Notification Service Extensions in React Native projects, or can suggest troubleshooting steps to verify the extension is properly configured and running?
Hi Apple team,
We’re shipping a Live Caller ID Lookup extension on iOS 18 and have a question about the automatic refresh of configuration/PIR parameters.
Questions
1. Is there any documented interval/TTL (min/max) for the system’s automatic refresh of /config and PIR parameters, or is it entirely opportunistic (battery/network/usage)? I can’t find a cadence in the IdentityLookup docs.
2. Does iOS honor server cache headers (e.g., Cache-Control/Expires) to influence when it re-fetches?
3. Which events also trigger a refresh (enable/disable in Settings, OS/app update, device reboot, token/epoch change)?
4. Are there rate limits or best-practice limits for calling refreshExtensionContext and refreshPIRParameters?

Hi team,
I'm developing a feature that's collecting the device locations for home security app.
We've been following
https://developer.apple.com/documentation/corelocation/creating-a-location-push-service-extension
apns-push-type set to location.
apns-priority set to 5.
during testing, we found that the device's notification extension cannot be triggered after device going into lock screen for 10 mins.
Wonder should we set the priority to 10? Thanks!
I am experiencing an issue with push notifications on my iOS application. The issue is as follows:
On Android devices, push notifications are received immediately without any problems.
On iOS devices, the behavior is inconsistent:
When the app is in the foreground, notifications are received immediately.
When the app is in the background or in recent apps with a significant delay of 5–10 hours, push notifications are not received at all.
This behavior creates a major challenge for us, as timely notifications are critical for our app’s functionality. We have already verified the following points on our side:
Push notification certificates and APNs setup are correct.
Payload and server configurations are valid, as notifications are working fine on Android.
No restrictions from the server-side, since Android users receive notifications instantly.
It seems the issue is specifically related to iOS devices or APNs delivery. Could you please help us identify the cause and provide guidance on how to resolve this?
Just triple-checking if it's only my Apple Watch Series 8 where the weather widget in the notification area is only showing 'WNW.' I think it's supposed to be showing the weekdays or the temperature.

Hi there,
Thank you for the framework 🙏
if I use Alarm.Schedule.Relative with Alarm.Schedule.Relative.Time(hour: hour, minute: minute) and Alarm.Schedule.Relative.Recurrence.never it seems like there is some (odd?) limit where alarm will get scheduled to next day if too close?
For example, lets say the current time is 12:00 PM, if I schedule alarm for 12:02 PM, it will schedule it for next day, while if I do 12:05 PM it will work as expected.
Is that expected? If yes, what's the behavior and is that documented anywhere?
I would expect any alarm thats scheduled in the future to fire for the current day (maybe if it's only 1 minute it gets tricky).
One problem is also that even if the framework says an alarm is scheduled, I don't have access to the "next alarm date"? I wish I did as otherwise I have to compute it (by "guessing" the AlarmKit calculation) if I want to do anything with that date.
Honestly, sometimes I think I am just going crazy when the alarm doesn't fire, but there SEEMS to be some odd behavior around this?
(of course, feel free to correct me on anything - I could be missing documentation or not understanding something)

hi i'm testing the new certificate. I'm using the p12 certificate and without doing anything, the sandbox can still be functioned.
I assume the new certificate has already been installed in the default path by linux. so I execute
openssl s_client -connect 17.188.143.34:443 -servername api.sandbox.push.apple.com -verifyCAfile /etc/pki/tls/certs/ca-bundle.crt -showcerts
and i received

depth=1 CN = Apple Public Server RSA CA 12 - G1, O = Apple Inc., ST = California, C = US

so the server indeed has the certificate, is this correct?
My push notifications on Ios devices come through but only silently while all settings are on order. On Android sounds are on. Anyway knows how to fix this on Apple's side?
I have a database in CloudKit, where the host share (using CKShare) a record to participants. The record is in her private database, but for the participants is in their shared database. How do I send push notifications to everyone when a new child record is created?
I am unable to connect to APNs sandbox push endpoint from our backend servers. It works fine when hitting the request from my local machine but it fails from the infra servers. Here are the complete curl details.
Endpoint: https://api.sandbox.push.apple.com:443
CURL request and response:

There are no issues with Production endpoint.
Can someone help? Verified all certificates. Everything worked fine until 29th July but started failing since 30th July
I have my app configured as a Driving Task app with the entitlement and provisioning profile correctly set up. I am also requesting the ".carPlay" notification authorization option and setting up the carplay notification category with the ".allowInCarPlay" category, both without error.
When testing with the iPhone and carplay simulators the user notifications I send are appearing on the phone but not in carplay.
When I check the notification settings with UNUserNotificationCenter.current().getNotificationSettings() I see that carplay is shown to be not supported ("carPlaySetting: NotSupported").
The CarPlay Developer Guide 2025-06-09 (which is the version currently referenced in the Apple docs) states that "Starting in iOS 18.4, notifications are also supported in CarPlay driving task apps".
Has this discrepancy been addressed anywhere, or is this an open issue?
My software versions:
MacOS: Sequoia 15.6
XCode: 16.4
iPhone Simulator: iPhone 16 with iOS 18.6
After porting code to Swift 6 (Xcode 16.4), I get a consistent crash (on simulator) when using UNUserNotificationServiceConnection
It seems (searching on the web) that others have met the same issue. Is it a known Swift6 bug ? Or am I misusing UNUserNotification ?
I do not have the crash when compiling on Xcode 26 ß5, which hints at an issue in Xcode 16.4.
Crash log:
Thread 10 Queue : com.apple.usernotifications.UNUserNotificationServiceConnection.call-out (serial)
As far as I can tell, it seems error is when calling
nonisolated func userNotificationCenter(_ center: UNUserNotificationCenter, willPresent notification: UNNotification, withCompletionHandler completionHandler: @escaping (UNNotificationPresentationOptions) -> Void)
I had to declare non isolated to solve a compiler error.
Main actor-isolated instance method 'userNotificationCenter(_:didReceive:withCompletionHandler:)' cannot be used to satisfy nonisolated requirement from protocol 'UNUserNotificationCenterDelegate'
I was advised to:
Add 'nonisolated' to 'userNotificationCenter(_:didReceive:withCompletionHandler:)' to make this instance method not isolated to the actor

We are so interested in AlarmKit which is presented at WWDC25. While we planning our app using AlarmKit, We had a few questions come to mind and were hoping you could provide some clarity. Please excuse the rather long list of questions, as we don't currently have a device available to test these features ourselves.
System Actions Related
Is there a limit to the number of alarms that can be scheduled using AlarmKit?
Are alarms scheduled with AlarmKit persistent across device reboots?
When an alarm is dismissed (either by swiping or pressing the power button), can our app detect this action and execute code in response?
Can we control the behavior of the physical Lock Screen buttons when an AlarmKit alarm is active, for instance, to trigger a snooze action?
Does AlarmKit function correctly during Do Not Disturb or Low Power Mode?
What is the expected behavior when an alarm from our app (using AlarmKit) overlaps with an alarm from another app that also uses AlarmKit? Which one is going to get its priority?
Thank you for your help.
Sincerely

after doing the "Reset all settings" in settings app. After the reset, our app isn't in the notifications menu and in "allow # to access" list, isn't the notifications option either. Reinstall seems to do the job but that's not an optimal solution.

I created an app. One if its functionalities is receive Remote Notification in the background, while app is monitoring Significant Location Changes (SLC). This functionality worked fine. I was receiving these notifications correctly. Sometimes instantly, sometime with small or large delay.
And then I send the app for review. It was rejected with 3 remarks:
The app or metadata includes information about third-party platforms that may not be relevant for App Store users, who are focused on experiences offered by the app itself (I wrote that app communication works both for iOS and Android.)
The app declares support for audio in the UIBackgroundModes key in your Info.plist but we are unable to locate any features that require persistent audio.
EULA (End User License Agreement) is missing for in-app purchases.
After the rejection the app is no longer receiving these notifications. They are there, since the app receives them, when I open app, or significant location change is detected. It also works, when I run the app directly from Xcode (in debug mode), not from TestFlight nor in Sandbox.
It seem to me like Apple somehow spoiled my background capabilities on purpose or accidentally. Is it possible? What can I do with it? Is it the case that I should just fix the review remarks and send the app back to review, and once the app passes it, it will work again? Or should I not count on it? Any suggestions? I asked Apple using:
https://developer.apple.com/contact/topic/#!/topic/select
but so far no response.

Hey there my application allows users to have video calls with each other using Agora. I have successfully set up incoming call functionality on Android but on iOS I am struggling to get the call ui to appear when the app is not running/in background/locked.
To my knowledge this is because there is much stricter security on iOS which is limiting me from calling this. When i initially set it up it worked at first when the app was in the background but I think I was failing to report the call to call kit in time and now it's not working.
I'm not sure if I need access to this entitlement:
com.apple.developer.pushkit.unrestricted-voip
Which i believe is only for the big boys or if I make sure I'm reporting the call to call kit fast enough that I won't encounter this issue and it will consistently work in the background.
