My app AirCompare has been in the app store and successfully using WeatherKit to fetch weather since it became available. Now some (not all) users are encountering the following errors:
Failed to generate jwt token for: com.apple.weatherkit.authservice with error: Error Domain=WeatherDaemon.WDSJWTAuthenticatorServiceListener.Errors Code=2 "(null)"
Encountered an error when fetching weather data subset; location=<+42.40865786,-88.96911526> +/- 0.00m (speed -1.00 mps / course -1.00) @ 6/23/25, 2:56:47 PM Central Daylight Time, error=WeatherDaemon.WDSJWTAuthenticatorServiceListener.Errors 2 Error Domain=WeatherDaemon.WDSJWTAuthenticatorServiceListener.Errors Code=2 "(null)"
Others are reporting this same problem here in the forums. We need a solution!

I have an app using weatherkit and its currently live and up on the app store, recently I had some users report to me that they had been receiving errors loading weather data, I had error handling built in and it reported an issue with apples authentication server
Failed to generate jwt token for: com.apple.weatherkit.authservice with error: Error Domain=WeatherDaemon.WDSJWTAuthenticatorServiceListener.Errors Code=2 "(null)"
I have not come across this during the development lifecycle of my project, there where no codebase changes, it just stopped functioning.
The app entitlements are valid and correct, Weatherkit is enabled in both xcode and across my Certs, identifiers and profiles.
I was not experiencing this issue until I reinstalled the app from the app store completly by first removing it and then re-installing fresh.
Hard reboots do not help and I do not want to start suggesting to my users to factory reset their devices.
We are using WeatherKit in both our main app and widget, relying entirely on Apple’s framework for authentication and token management.
We do not generate or inject our own JWT tokens; all token handling is managed by WeatherKit.
We have implemented a debug menu with the following actions:
Clear WeatherKit JWT tokens from the keychain
Clear all related UserDefaults key
Clear all app group data and all UserDefaults.
Perform a “nuclear” cache clear (removes all app data, keychain, and cached files).
We log all WeatherKit fetch attempts and failures, including authentication errors, both in the app and widget and get nothing but code 2.
We have attempted all of the above steps, but continue to experience issues with WeatherKit JWT authentication
We would appreciate any guidance or insight into what else could be causing persistent WeatherKit JWT/authentication issues, or if there are any additional steps we should try.
P.S. - Tested and experiencing the same issues on an iPhone 15 Pro Max and iPhone 15
The Pro Max is on the iOS 26 Beta // and the 15 is on the latest iOS 18
The universal links for my apps stopped working.
The server where the AASA files where hosted worked on IPV4 exclusively, a few days ago i changed the configuration to IPV6 only. I´ve created new IPV6 entries, renewed all certifactes and deleted all IPV4 entries for the domains.
All seemed fine, but at Saturday I realized that my universal links stopped working for new user.
What i´ve done to find the issue:
Example domain that was used for debugging: "https://developffw.burns.fun"
I´ve verified the AASA file is hosted properly by using different browsers and Postman to retrieve it. The file can be accessed and the certificates look fine.

I took a look at the headers from the Apple CDN network response. These indicate some sort of connection error.
The response code is 404
Response headers:

Took a look at the log files of the server.
I can´t find any entry from the Apple servers neither in the default logs nor in the error log entries.
The curl attempts are logged with response code 200.
I´ve tried sudo swcutil dl -d https://developffw.burns.fun/onboard in the Terminal on my MAC.
Output:
The operation couldn´t be completed. (SWCErrorDomain error 8.)
This indicates to me threre is an issue for the Apple servers accessing my server. But I don´t know what could be the reason. There is no firewall configuration that could block the requests. And there has been no change at all besides the IPV4 / IPV6 protocol change.
This issue is the same for all the domain listed on this server.
I´v even created a new app for this purpose and created a new AASA entry and associated link. Same issue.
I´m pretty much lost here. Everything looks fine from my side. Google assetlinks.json seem to work fine.
I would really appreciate some help on how to solve this, i´m at my wits end.
Hello
I'm using this sdk DeclaredAgeRange to get the user age range
When I'm doing in debug mode using sandbox account it is working as expected and I can get the user age range
But when I tried in TestFlight build using sandbox account it is not working and it is always return the age range 18+ and also isEligibleForAgeFeatures API is always returning false
Any advise on this?
My app features two kinds of widgets, let's call them kind A and kind B.
I have both A and B widgets on my Home Screen. When I tap the button on widget A (associated with App Intent), I expect widget B to also reload.
However, if you call WidgetCenter.shared.reloadAllTimelines() inside the perform() method of the AppIntent, the timeline of widget B does not reload immediately. This issue only occurs on a physical device and is not consistently reproducible. On a simulator, however, widget B reloads as expected.

I have installed the macOS 26 WWDC beta on a secondary volume, and set it up with two user accounts (both administrators).
However, the options for switching users without fully logging out are nowhere to be found.
The topic is still included in macOS Help and is shown when searching for “fast” in System Settings, however, the option is hidden/missing in the pref pane when selected.

Hello,
After being in the AppStore for more than a year with the app working perfectly, yesterday I started seeing that WeatherKit requests failed with
Failed to generate jwt token for: com.apple.weatherkit.authservice with error: Error Domain=WeatherDaemon.WDSJWTAuthenticatorServiceListener.Errors Code=2 "(null)"
Encountered an error when fetching weather data subset; location=<+41.40217108,+2.20023642> +/- 0.00m (speed -1.00 mps / course -1.00) @ 13/12/25, 12:20:35 Central European Standard Time, error=WeatherDaemon.WDSJWTAuthenticatorServiceListener.Errors 2 Error Domain=WeatherDaemon.WDSJWTAuthenticatorServiceListener.Errors Code=2 "(null)"
I checked on developer.apple.com and we still have everything turned on and
No changes were made from an already deployed app; and we pay 200$ a month for WeatherKit, this is unacceptable since it's not the first time WeatherKit randomly decides to stop working.
More fun facts: the widget works fine...
I am requesting assistance with an issue involving my Advanced App Clip Experience, which has remained in the “Received” state for more than few months, preventing the App Clip from becoming available when invoked via QR code.
App Details
App Name: Yellow Label Verification
App Store Bundle ID: com.acviss.demoindia
App Clip Bundle ID: com.acviss.demoindia.Clip
Team ID: F2RLQ4VV59
App Version (Live): 1.4
Domain: acviss.com
Issue Summary
My Advanced App Clip Experience is stuck in the “Received” status. The “Publish” and “Build Assignment” options never appear, even though:
The updated AASA file is correctly published at:
https://acviss.com/.well-known/apple-app-site-association
It contains the correct appclips → appID and paths entries
It is served with the correct application/json content type
Domain validation in App Store Connect shows Validated
The App Clip build is already approved and live on the App Store
Safari-based App Clip invocation works as expected
Despite this, the Advanced App Clip Experience has not transitioned from “Received” to “Processing” or “Published.”
Because of this, QR-based invocation consistently shows “App Clip Unavailable”, indicating that the App Clip Experience has not yet been activated on Apple’s backend.
Reproduction Steps
Publish correct AASA file with appclips array and paths
Validate domain (shows green “Validated” in App Store Connect)
Open the Advanced App Clip Experience in App Store Connect
Status stays as Received
“Build Assignment” or “Publish” buttons never appear
QR scanning of the App Clip URL continues to show App Clip Unavailable
Request
Could you please check the backend processing of my App Clip Experience and manually trigger the sync or processing
It appears that the App Clip Experience is not being processed even though all configuration, AASA, and domain validations are correct. I would greatly appreciate your assistance in resolving this so the App Clip can be invoked successfully via QR.
Thank you very much for your help and support.
Subject: iOS Fails to Fetch AASA File for Internationalized Domain Names (IDN) in Unicode or Punycode Format
Dear Apple Developer Relations Team And Community Members,
We are reporting a critical bug in the iOS Associated Domains feature that prevents Universal Links from working for apps using Internationalized Domain Names (IDN).
Problem Description:
The iOS operating system does not attempt to download the apple-app-site-association (AASA) file for domains containing non-ASCII characters (e.g., diacritics, Cyrillic).
This failure occurs regardless of whether the domain is specified in the app's entitlements in its human-readable Unicode format (e.g., montréal.ca) or its encoded Punycode format (e.g., xn--montral-fya.ca, xn--e1afka0abm4b.xn--p1ai).
Without fetching and validating this file, Universal Links are not activated, and the system fails to establish a connection between the website and our app.
Steps to Reproduce:
Create an app with the Associated Domains entitlement enabled.
Add an IDN to the entitlement. We tested both formats:
Format A (Unicode): applinks://montréal.ca
Format B (Punycode): applinks://xn--montral-fya.ca
Host a valid AASA file on our server at the correct, accessible well-known URLs for both domain representations:
For montréal.ca: https://montréal.ca/.well-known/apple-app-site-association and https://xn--montral-fya.ca/.well-known/apple-app-site-association
Install the app on a device running the latest iOS version.
Monitor network traffic using a tool like Charles Proxy.
Observed Result:
No HTTP GET request is made to any of the AASA URLs for the domains montréal.ca (in either Unicode or Punycode format) upon app installation. The system does not initiate the domain validation process. In contrast, for a standard ASCII domain (e.g., applinks://example.com), the AASA fetch is triggered immediately and is observed in the network log.
Expected Result:
iOS should correctly resolve the Internationalized Domain Name (whether specified in Unicode or Punycode format in the entitlement) and perform an HTTP GET request to fetch the AASA file from the /.well-known path, identical to its behavior for ASCII domains.
Evidence & Configuration:
Our server is configured correctly: SSL certificates are valid, the AASA file is served with the correct application/json MIME type, and is directly accessible via a browser or curl.
The AASA file's syntax has been validated and is correct.
The issue is reproducible on the latest versions of iOS.
Impact:
This bug blocks a core platform feature for millions of users in regions that use non-Latin scripts (e.g., France, Russia, China, Arab states). It makes it impossible to use Universal Links with our primary domains, severely degrading the user experience and forcing us to seek suboptimal workarounds like registering separate ASCII domains.
Request:
We kindly request that you investigate and log this issue as a bug in iOS and forward it to the appropriate engineering team for a fix in an upcoming update. We are prepared to provide any additional information, demo projects, or server access to assist in diagnostics.
Thank you for your attention to this serious matter.
Hi everyone, on iOS, when a VoIP call arrives and the user accepts it from the lock screen (after unlocking with Face ID/Touch ID), is there any way to automatically bring my app to the foreground and show the in-app call screen, instead of staying in the system CallKit UI?
I created a ShieldConfigurationExtension in Xcode 14.3 with File > New > Target > ShieldConfigurationExtension. This created the extension with all the necessary Info.plist values (correct NSExtensionPrincipalClass, etc.), with the extension included in embedded content in the host app target.
No matter what I try, the extension is not getting invoked when I shield applications from my host app. The custom UI does not show as the shield, and looking at the debugger, an extension process is never invoked.
I am shielding categories like this:
let managedSettings = ManagedSettingsStore()
...
managedSettings.shield.applicationCategories = .all()
And my extension code overrides all the ShieldConfigurationDataSource functions.
class ShieldConfigurationExtension: ShieldConfigurationDataSource {
override func configuration(shielding application: Application) -> ShieldConfiguration {
return ShieldConfiguration(
backgroundBlurStyle: UIBlurEffect.Style.systemThickMaterial,
backgroundColor: UIColor.white,
icon: UIImage(systemName: "stopwatch"),
title: ShieldConfiguration.Label(text: "You are in a Present Session", color: .yellow)
)
}
override func configuration(shielding application: Application, in category: ActivityCategory) -> ShieldConfiguration {
return ShieldConfiguration(
backgroundBlurStyle: UIBlurEffect.Style.systemThickMaterial,
backgroundColor: UIColor.white,
icon: UIImage(systemName: "stopwatch"),
title: ShieldConfiguration.Label(text: "You are in a Present Session", color: .yellow)
)
}
override func configuration(shielding webDomain: WebDomain) -> ShieldConfiguration {
return ShieldConfiguration(
backgroundBlurStyle: UIBlurEffect.Style.systemThickMaterial,
backgroundColor: UIColor.white,
icon: UIImage(systemName: "stopwatch"),
title: ShieldConfiguration.Label(text: "You are in a Present Session", color: .yellow)
)
}
override func configuration(shielding webDomain: WebDomain, in category: ActivityCategory) -> ShieldConfiguration {
return ShieldConfiguration(
backgroundBlurStyle: UIBlurEffect.Style.systemThickMaterial,
backgroundColor: UIColor.white,
icon: UIImage(systemName: "stopwatch"),
title: ShieldConfiguration.Label(text: "You are in a Present Session", color: .yellow)
)
}
}
What am I missing?

I get several warnings in log:
*** -[NSKeyedUnarchiver validateAllowedClass:forKey:] allowed unarchiving
safe plist type ''NSNumber' (0x204cdbeb8)

even though it was not explicitly included in the client allowed classes set: '{(
"'NSArray' (0x204cd5598) [/System/Library/Frameworks/CoreFoundation.framework]"
)}'. This will be disallowed in the future.
I am not sure how to understand it:
I have removed every NSNumber.self in the allowed lists for decode. To no avail, still get the avalanche of warnings.
What is the key NS.objects about ?
What may allowed classes set: '{(
"'NSArray' be referring to ? An inclusion of NSArray.self in a list for decode ? The type of a property in a class ?
Our users report frequent crashes with the FamilyActivityPicker. Since this is a screen controlled by Apple, I'm assuming that there's nothing I can do to prevent these crashes.
I'm wondering, though, if there's any way to gracefully handle these crashes? When this happens, the following is printed to the console:
[com.apple.FamilyControls.ActivityPickerExtension(1121)] Connection to plugin invalidated while in use.
Does anyone know how to handle/catch this error?
Since I updated to iOS 18, CallKit-linked caller not display on screen of CarPlay.
CarPlay display only "{App Name} Caller ID".
When iOS version was 17.x, CarPlay displayed caller name of CallKit-linked contact.
I think CarPlay should perform the same function as iOS 17.
Please review it.
I want to display device activity reports for particular selected apps. for getting a daily basis app uses time. Now, what is happening? there are 10 apps selected from the family activity picker but some apps are displayed in the list. I need all 10 apps or more that I will choose from the family activity picker. The bellow code is used for fetching reports.
var body: some View {
VStack {
DeviceActivityReport(context, filter: filter)
}
}
bellow code is used for the filter
@State public var filter = DeviceActivityFilter()
init(selectedApps: Set<ApplicationToken>, selectedCategories: Set<ActivityCategoryToken>, selectedWebDomains: Set<WebDomainToken>) {
self.selectedApps = selectedApps
self.selectedCategories = selectedCategories
self.selectedWebDomains = selectedWebDomains
self.filter = DeviceActivityFilter(
segment: .daily(
during: Calendar.current.dateInterval(
of: .weekOfYear, for: .now
)!
),
users: .all,
devices: .init([.iPhone]),
applications: selectedApps,
categories: selectedCategories,
webDomains: selectedWebDomains
)
}
You can see we selected 3 apps from family activity picker but we getting 2 apps from DeviceActivityReport extension
following code is for device activity report extension
let context: DeviceActivityReport.Context = .totalActivity
// Define the custom configuration and the resulting view for this report.
let content: (ActivityReport) -> TotalActivityView
func makeConfiguration(representing data: DeviceActivityResults<DeviceActivityData>) async -> ActivityReport {
// Reformat the data into a configuration that can be used to create
// the report's view.
var res = ""
var list: [AppDeviceActivity] = []
let totalActivityDuration = await data.flatMap { $0.activitySegments }.reduce(0, {
$0 + $1.totalActivityDuration
})
for await d in data {
res += d.user.appleID!.debugDescription
res += d.lastUpdatedDate.description
for await a in d.activitySegments{
res += a.totalActivityDuration.formatted()
for await c in a.categories {
for await ap in c.applications {
if let apptoken = ap.application.token {
let appName = (ap.application.localizedDisplayName ?? "nil")
let bundle = (ap.application.bundleIdentifier ?? "nil")
let duration = ap.totalActivityDuration
let numberOfPickups = ap.numberOfPickups
let app = AppDeviceActivity(appToken: apptoken, id: bundle, displayName: appName, duration: duration, numberOfPickups: numberOfPickups)
list.append(app)
}
}
}
}
}
return ActivityReport(totalDuration: totalActivityDuration, apps: list)
}
I have an app developed by using the Callkit/Call-Blocking and received feedback from individual users, when using [cxcalldirectorymanager reloadextensionwithidentifier] to write call blocking data, it returned error code 11 with the following contents:
errorCode: 11
errorDomain: com.apple.callkit.database.sqlite
errorDescription: sqlite3_step for query 'DELETE FROM PhoneNumberBlockingEntry WHERE extension_id =?' returned 11 (11) errorMessage 'database disk image is malformed'
I want to know the reasons for this error and how to solve it,Thanks!
I’m currently developing a spam number blocking app using CallKit.
I’ve confirmed that up to iOS 26 beta 5, there is a bug where number blocking doesn’t work.
In my current tests, the ringtone doesn’t sound and the blocking works fine, but the call still appears in the missed calls list, which is bothersome.
If the bug is fixed in future versions (as it was in previous versions), is there a way to block the number so that it also does not appear in missed calls?
We have a problem in a scenario that SIM lock is disabled so after a phone reboots it has the Internet connection but it is still locked.
When you call into the VOIP app the app is not being launched as the result (it seems reasonable because it wouldn't be able to access the keychain items etc...) but the OS still seem to enforce the rule that the app needs to report the new incoming call.
When we then unlock the app we can see no more pushkit pushes are arriving (dropped on the floor in the console) but we get the three initial pushes that were send during the locked phase right after the app launch.
I developed a shortcut feature for my app using the AppIntents framework, which can display a maximum of 10 shortcuts in the Shortcuts app. However, I've noticed that apps like Tesla and Porsche have a significantly larger number of shortcuts, far exceeding 10. After searching online, I found that they might be using Intent Extensions and the SiriKit framework. I customized an Intent through SiriKit, checked the option for "Intent is user-configurable in the Shortcuts app" and "Add to Siri." I can find this shortcut when I search for it, but it does not appear on the homepage or under the app category. Is there any way to resolve this?
iOS Message Filter Extension - deferQueryRequestToNetwork(completion:) error
I made a test app using the iOS App template and added a target using the Message Filter Extension template which invokes deferQueryRequestToNetwork(completion:) when receiving an SMS.
The app and the extension have same "Associated Domains Capabilities" with "messagefilter" pointing to a server which receives query requests and returns proper responses. The extension has the "ILMessageFilterExtensionNetworkURL" key in Info.plist file which specifies the server URL.
deferQueryRequestToNetwork(completion:) throws a com.apple.calls.messagefilter error which reads "Extension's containing app (appID ) unauthorized to defer requests to host "
