Hey guys! I've recently noticed a number of PaaS'es and CPaaS'es offering bulk outgoing messaging using the iMessage the same way it's done with the SMS. I always thought that iMessage sort of only allowed businesses to send outgoings subject to user contacting their account first (to avoid being spammed). But then there's those I mentioned above. Have you faced anything like this? Did Apple make changes to the model so that businesses can now initiate conversations with users? If so, how does it work?

Hi, We are working to integrate the Live Caller ID Lookup feature into our app. After submitting the request form via the link: https://developer.apple.com/contact/request/live-caller-id-lookup/, we received this reply from Apple: Apple’s OHTTP relay has been configured to talk to your OHTTP gateway. Now Live Caller ID Lookup should work for your application extension when distributed through App Store. However, before officially releasing our app on the App Store, we’d like to make sure the Live Caller ID Lookup feature is working as expected. To test this, we uploaded the app to TestFlight, and it successfully passed App Review. However, the test failed — we observed that the system tries to fetch the config from http://www.example.com/config instead of our actual configuration URL. Questions: Is this expected behavior when using TestFlight? Does the Live Caller ID Lookup feature only become active after full public release on the App Store? Is there any recommended way to test this feature before public release? Thank you!

We encountered an issue with iOS 26 and release version. We developed a voipout application and we created an entry in native call log on dev/prod version with our app that run under iOS 18.6 and earlier. On iOS 26 TestFlight version didn't create entry in call log but debug version did it. I don't find any clue in CallKit documentation for iOS 26 and we use action.fulfill(withDateStarted: .now) for call and end transaction and we develop under Xcode 26 Do you have any suggestion to solve our problems ?

My use case is a Repeat Timer app. The user can configure a repeating timer, say: 8 minutes with 3 sets So I would like to configure either 3 alarms (8mins, 16mins, 24mins) or a repeating alarm (8mins every 3 mins) BUT... I would like the first and second alarms to break through but only for 5 seconds for example, and then stop (so the user doesn't need to tap the screen to silence the alarm). I'm currently experimenting with AlarmKit and, when configuring an alarm with a Relative schedule, but that never repeats, I find that it is still scheduled in the AlarmManager, but the documentation says that an alarm that has no repeat schedule will be removed from the AlarmManager after firing. This behavior is experienced both in my project and with the sample code AlarmKit-ScheduleAndAlert To reproduce, create a non-repeating alarm, and, after firing, it will still be on the list marked as Scheduled Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug?

I'm sitting at my house and trying to sign my test device out of my apple ID so I can sign into a Sandbox user, but now I have an hour to kill because of this terribly broken "security" feature that thinks it's in an unfamiliar location, despite being at the only location it's ever known. Looks like I'll just be disabling this feature all together. Especially as a device with Developer Mode enabled, which gets reset regularly, there should be additional options here. Come on!

Hey everyone, I have an app using the screen time api, I've had quite a few reports from users saying that our monitoring features stop working until they open our app. What happens is that activities and schedules set with the device activity monitor seem to disappear. This is something we check on app re-opens and so we schedule them again and that is why the monitoring starts working again. Of course our current solution is not optimal since our app is mainly passive. Has anyone experienced these kinds of issue ?

I'm trying to implement live caller id PIR server in python and I have an issue related to evaluation key config. Issue Description: When the snooze alarm and a set alarm share the same time, the behavior differs between locked and unlocked screen states. The current issue occurs when the screen is unlocked and the device is on the home screen before the alarm goes off: Alarm A is set for 17:23, and the snooze button is tapped when it rings. Alarm B is set for 17:25. At 17:25, Alarm B first vibrates and then rings (no buttons are pressed at this time). A few seconds later, it vibrates a second time. After that, the alarm becomes silent. If dynamic/notification alarms are disabled, the next scheduled alarm rings normally.

The example database/server provided by Apple for Live Caller ID contains a hardcoded database with a tiny number of pre-defined numbers. However, its not expected to be representational of an live real world usage server. But the question is how can that be accomplished if its a requirement that the data be KPIR encrypted? In real world scenarios, the factors that effect whether a number should be blocked or not are continually changing and evolving on a minute-by-minute basis and new information becomes available or existing information changes. If the database supports tens of millions or hundreds of millions of constantly changing phone numbers, in order to meet the requirements of the Live Caller ID being KPIR encrypted, that would imply the database has to re-encrypt its database of millions endlessly for all time. That seems unfeasable and impractical to implement. Therefore how do the Apple designers of this feature envisage/suggest a real-world server supporting millions of changing data should meet the requirement to be KPIR encrypted?

Hi, I'm working on a game for the past few years using first Unreal Engine 4, and now Unreal Engine 5.4.4. I'm experiencingan unusual crash on startup on some devices . The crash is so fast that I'm barely able to see the launching screen sometimes because the app closes itself before that. I got a EXC_CRASH (SIGABRT) so I know that it's a null pointer reference, but I can't quite wrap my head about the cause, I think that's something messed up in the packaging of the app, but here is where I'm blocked, I'm not that accustomed with apple devices. I have a watch only app that display an open/close park status and the current temperature with a current condition icon. That's it. On second submission the watch app was rejected due to no WeatherKit attribution. I have a lack of clarity of what's needed. With my single view that display my content I don't want WeatherKit attribution to overwhelm what's being presented to the user. I've tried looking for watch apps in the store that provide attribution and I'm not finding any. Looking for advice on how to meet this requirement without attribution overpowering my content.

Our app provides a calendar that integrates with the default calendar app. Specifically, we use iOS EventKit to perform CRUD operations on calendar data. Recently, we have received reports from users that all of their events have disappeared. However, after reviewing our implementation and logs, we have not been able to identify the cause. Some users have also reported that all data in their default calendar app has disappeared as well. Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this? To delete an event within our app, users must press the delete button and then confirm the deletion in a dialog. Additionally, it is not possible to delete more than two events at once. We've seen many people in the community discussing a bug where calendar events disappear after updating to iOS 18. If you have any information about when or why this happens, we'd appreciate it if you could share your insights.
