Car play mirroring with flexy limitation and what about new Gen. of Carplay that gonna launch end of this year?
right now it looks like the app type must follow the guidelines like Messenger app, Navigate app, and Music app only. What about the Automotive app itself, What is the flexibility of it? We have an app for service cars for one brand (officially)(car users around 1m+). but we looking to merge the experience between outside the car and inside the car. Can we top up some features on the app to share some information that is a part of the car like trip calculation or car info display on the screen? or services time to notice them? And following that question can we know about the exact spot or brief from Apple car play for now and next-gen? Or can we work with your team closely as a partner? to make things happen and develop it to be a flagship product, we can share some data and talk about it with real insight.

How to provide a driving destination to CarPlay, like Calendar
If I have, say a doctor appointment in the Calendar app, and I'm leaving to go to it, the address will appear in Apple Maps on CarPlay. Forgive if I'm getting the details wrong, but I believe if I bring up the Map, it will be available to tap on, so I can quickly go there. I think it may also show up on one on the car-play screens that shows a few different panels. The point is, I really like this feature, and want to do it in my app. In my iOS app, the user can order food from a restaurant, and pick it up. I'm not ready to make this app a "quick service" app, but I want to give the user an easy to get to her location. Since I just ordered food, this means that I'll need to leave fairly quickly to go to the location. The Calendar app is able to offer a location because of scheduling, I'd like to do the same.

Any way to adjust the speechRecognitionMetadata pause duration?
Speech Framework I've been checking for SFSpeechRecognitionMetadata to determine the end of a sentence when using Voice Recognition. Yet it doesn't detect small pauses but only large ones, so that I've transcribed basically an entire paragraph before going onto the next one. Besides implementing your own timer, are there any other ways to have more natural pauses to detect the end of sentences, similar to the browser's Web Speech recognition? Since it's in Safari, I assume there should be some similar feature that can be equivalent in MacOS.

WeatherKit DayWeather::date Timezone Issue
I use WeatherKit with Swift to get multiple cities weather by longitude and latitude. But I use this API in WeatherService for daily forecast: final public func weather<T>(for location: CLLocation, including dataSet: WeatherQuery<T>) async throws -> T And I found there is something wired: The date of WeatherKit::DayWeather is based on my device's timezone settings. Tokyo's Day Weather is start at UTC+8, New York' Day Weather is start UTC+8. Is there any way to set timezone correctly?

API to check Core Spotlight storage limit
There's a 128mb limit for donating items to core spotlight. As far as I understand, there's a warning that shows in the Xcode console when either approaching or hitting that limit. It would be great if there was an API to check the current status of available storage for QA purposes to see if we're either donating too much or can donate more. Thanks!

WeatherKit attribution for watch app
I have a watch only app that display an open/close park status and the current temperature with a current condition icon. That's it. On second submission the watch app was rejected due to no WeatherKit attribution. I have a lack of clarity of what's needed. With my single view that display my content I don't want WeatherKit attribution to overwhelm what's being presented to the user. I've tried looking for watch apps in the store that provide attribution and I'm not finding any. Looking for advice on how to meet this requirement without attribution overpowering my content.

LiveCommunicationKit
What I want to achieve now is that when the app is not running, upon receiving a notification, it displays an interface similar to CallKit with accept and decline buttons. Here is part of my code: @available(iOS 17.4, *) class LiveCommunicationManager: NSObject, ConversationManagerDelegate { static let shared = LiveCommunicationManager() var isInvalidate:Bool = false var configuration: ConversationManager! override init() { let config = ConversationManager. Update(localMember: local, members: [local],activeRemoteMembers: [local]) Task{ do { try await configuration.reportNewIncomingConversation(uuid: uuid, update: update) print("成功报告新来电") } catch { print("报告新来电失败: \(error.localizedDescription)") } } } func conversationManager(_ manager: ConversationManager, conversationChanged conversation: Conversation) { print("会话状态改变了") } func conversationManagerDidBegin(_ manager: ConversationManager) { print("会话已经开始了") manager.delegate = self } func conversationManagerDidReset(_ manager: ConversationManager) { print("会话将要清除了") } func conversationManager(_ manager: ConversationManager, perform action: ConversationAction) { print("会话接听了") configuration.invalidate() } func conversationManager(_ manager: ConversationManager, timedOutPerforming action: ConversationAction) { print("会话超时了") } func conversationManager(_ manager: ConversationManager, didActivate audioSession: AVAudioSession) { print("会话激活了") } func conversationManager(_ manager: ConversationManager, didDeactivate audioSession: AVAudioSession) { print("会话死亡了") } } 在Appdelegate里设置了这些: func application(_ application: UIApplication, didReceiveRemoteNotification userInfo: [AnyHashable: Any], fetchCompletionHandler completionHandler: @escaping (UIBackgroundFetchResult) -> Void) { // 在这里处理离线推送通知 completionHandler(.noData) // 返回后台任务完成 if let aps = userInfo["aps"] as? [String: Any], let alert = aps["alert"] as? [String : Any]{ // 静默推送的处理逻辑 if #available(iOS 17.4, *) { let manager = LiveCommunicationManager.shared if manager.isInvalidate { return } if let msgType = userInfo["msgType"] as? Int{ if msgType == 5{ manager.configuration.invalidate() }else{ let callerName = alert["title"] as? String ?? "Fanvil" manager.reportIncomingCall(uuid: UUID(), callerName: callerName) } } } } } Xcode has been configured with the necessary capabilities, such as Background Fetch, Voice over IP, Background Processing, and Push Notification. The issue now is that sometimes the code works as expected, allowing the app to wake up when not running and displaying the system interface with accept and decline buttons. However, after a few successful attempts, the app stops waking up, and no notification appears. But when I manually open the app, the didReceiveRemoteNotification method gets triggered. I’d like to know why this stops working after a few times.

Is testing of Age Range API available in xcode simulator?
From https://developer.apple.com/forums/thread/803945?answerId=862153022#862153022, the testing of Age Range API was not available through xcode simulator back in Oct 2025. Is this available now? In particular: Is requestAgeRange testing available through simulator? Is requestAgeRange testing with sandbox account available through simulator? Is isEligibleForAgeFeatures available through simulator? Is isEligibleForAgeFeatures testing with sandbox account available through simulator? If the answer is "yes" to any of the above, which version of the xcode and ios version should I use? So far I didn't get any of the above working on the simulator, and I can't find any documentation on the answers above. Thank you!

How to uninstall/delete Voice Control on macOS?
How to uninstall/delete Voice Control on macOS so that I can test my app for the case when the initial use of Voice Control causes it to be downloaded from Apple? Is there a folder in the macOS System or Library to delete to force a re-download of Voice Control? My macOS app uses the older NSSpeechRecognizer to handle speech commands, but to use NSSpeechRecognizer required authorization via [SFSpeechRecognizer requestAuthorization...]. I do this and on a macOS system it can trigger a download of Voice Control, the macOS feature. An alert appears with: "A 390 MB download is required to use speech recognition features in MyApp. You may need to quit and open MyApp again after download completes."

WeatherKit entitlement and key not propagated — WeatherDaemon fails to generate JWT (Code=2)
Hello Apple Developer Support Team, I am the Account Holder of my Apple Developer Program team (Team ID: T2BKUF6E93). My iOS app is using Swift WeatherKit (WeatherService) on device. Although my environment is completely configured, the system WeatherDaemon consistently fails to generate the WeatherKit JWT token. My environment: Team type: Apple Developer Program (paid) Team ID: T2BKUF6E93 Account role: Account Holder Xcode: latest version Device: iPhone (real device) Provisioning Profile: iOS Team Provisioning Profile (auto-managed) Entitlement: com.apple.developer.weatherkit included WeatherKit Key: created successfully (.p8 downloaded) Bundle ID: correct and WeatherKit capability enabled App reinstalled after each configuration change Device rebooted Even after enabling WeatherKit capability and generating a WeatherKit Key, the system still fails to generate JWT: Failed to generate jwt token for: com.apple.weatherkit.authservice Error Domain=WeatherDaemon.WDSJWTAuthenticatorServiceListener.Errors Code=2 "(null)" The error persists across: multiple device restarts full clean/rebuild in Xcode deleting and reinstalling the app pulling the latest provisioning profiles waiting more than several hours for backend propagation What I suspect My WeatherKit entitlement and/or WeatherKit Key may not be fully propagated to the provisioning server or WeatherDaemon backend, even though everything appears correctly configured on the Developer Center. I kindly request the support team to: Verify whether the WeatherKit Entitlement is correctly attached to my app ID and provisioning profile. Verify whether my WeatherKit Key is properly registered and propagated for my team. Check if there are any backend propagation delays or stuck states for my Team ID (T2BKUF6E93). Confirm whether WeatherDaemon has permission to generate JWT for my app. Thank you Please let me know if any logs, screenshots, or provisioning profile identifiers are needed. Thank you for your help! Best regards, Jiangyang

Non–App Clip NFC URLs show CPSErrorDomain error 2 after creating 50+ Advanced App Clips
We’re seeing unexpected NFC behavior once our app has 50+ Advanced App Clips created. Expected: Scanning an NFC tag with a URL that is NOT an App Clip invocation should show the standard “Open in Safari” notification. Actual: After we create ~50+ Advanced App Clips, scanning NFC tags for URLs on the same domain that are not associated with App Clips consistently shows “CPSErrorDomain error 2” instead of the Safari prompt.
QR codes for the same non–App Clip URLs work as expected (shows Safari prompt). Clearing the App Clips “Experience Cache” sometimes helps briefly, but the error returns on consequent scans. Notes: Domain has valid AASA. App Clip invocation URLs work as expected.
The issue appears tied to the number of Advanced App Clips configured. Below ~50, non–App Clip NFC scans behave correctly; above that, they fail.
Affected across multiple devices and iOS versions tested. Repro steps: Configure 50+ Advanced App Clips for paths on a single domain.
Encode a different URL on the same domain that is NOT listed as an App Clip invocation into an NFC tag.
Scan the NFC tag on iPhone.
Observe “CPSErrorDomain error 2” instead of the “Open in Safari” notification. Impact: blocks our NFC use case for regular web links once we scale App Clip experiences. Sysdiagnose #: FB20563121

Can the App Clip banner for full app download be disabled?
Hello, I have a question about the default UI in an App Clip. I know that when App Clip launches, a system banner appears at the top for a few seconds, prompting the user to download the full app from the App Store. I'd like to confirm if this is the standard, default behavior for all App Clips. More importantly, is there any way to disable or hide this banner? We would prefer to manage the prompt to download the full app within our own UI. Thanks in advance for your help!

App disappears after pkg installation
We're running into an issue with our pkg bundle where the main .app file disappears after installation and wanted to see if anyone has an idea about what would cause it. We have a pkg bundle with three separate apps, one primary app and two supporting apps. We distribute this pkg bundle directly to our users, who will manually install it on their devices (rather than through the app store). The installation itself will usually complete without any issues, and we aren't seeing anything in the install or system logs indicating that it was removed afterward (our postinstall script checks that all of the files exist and are in the correct locations), but after the installation the main app disappears while the rest of the files (including the supporting apps) we lay down are still present. Sometimes it will fail with an error similar to this: 2024-10-02 09:43:07-04 MBA-L-8114 installer[9894]: Error getting application status info for file:///Applications/.hiddenfolder/app1.app: Error Domain=NSCocoaErrorDomain Code=260 "The file "app1.app" couldn't be opened because there is no such file." UserInfo={NSURL=file:///Applications/.hiddenfolder/app1.app, NSFilePath=/Applications/.hiddenfolder/app1.app, NSUnderlyingError=0x6000026a0d50 {Error Domain=NSPOSIXErrorDomain Code=2 "No such file or directory"}} This only happens on certain computers, but on those computers it will happen consistently. We have noticed that it seems to happen more often with computers that are MDM configured. So far we’ve investigated permissions issues with the build process, installation script issues, and signing/notarizing, but have not found anything that might cause this issue. We did verify that we’re setting BundleIsRelocatable NO in the plist file for our package, so in theory it shouldn’t be trying to move the app after installation (we don't see the main app anywhere on the device so macOS doesn't seem to be moving it). We have another post going into more technical detail here: https://developer.apple.com/forums/thread/769443

Launch URL
Hi I am developing a game app with Epic Unreal Engine. I am testing this as testFlight these days. My problem is “launch URL” what a function in Unreal Engine. This is a function that allows user to search the Internet with the entered URL. It worked well before. But not now. I don't know when it did start not working. It's like after the iPhone IOS update or the Xcode update. Mac sequoia 15.1.1 Xcode 16.2 ( Unreal Engine 5.4.4 ) IOS is 18.2. but It didn't work since the just previous version. Any advice can I get?

Call log not updated by CallKit in TestFlight/iOS 26
We encountered an issue with iOS 26 and release version. We developed a voipout application and we created an entry in native call log on dev/prod version with our app that run under iOS 18.6 and earlier. On iOS 26 TestFlight version didn't create entry in call log but debug version did it. I don't find any clue in CallKit documentation for iOS 26 and we use action.fulfill(withDateStarted: .now) for call and end transaction and we develop under Xcode 26 Do you have any suggestion to solve our problems ?

On-Demand Resources Update
Hi, I have a question about On-Demand Resources, I tried to put some bundles into the Initial Install Tags and Download Only On Demand, and I uploaded the build to TestFlight, then I tried to make 2 builds, and the sample is like this: Build A: Initial Install Tags have 100 Tags. Download Only On Demand have 5 Tags. Build B: all contents of Initial Install Tags are the same as in Build A. Download Only On Demand are the same as Build A but I added 5 more tags, so the total is 10 tags, 5 tags that are the same as Build A and 5 new tags. Then I tried to download Build A for the first time which is in TestFlight, and it runs normally, Initial Install Tags are downloaded when the main app is downloaded and Download Only On Demand is downloaded when I request the tag. However, when I tried to update to Build B which is in TestFlight, why are the Initial Install Tags deleted? and why should it be downloaded via request? not when the main app is downloaded? has anyone ever experienced something like this? Thanks!

FinanceKit - Any way to get merchant location info from transactions?
Hi all — I’m building a Wallet-style transaction details view using FinanceKit and I’m running into a gap around merchant location. What I’m seeing FinanceKit gives me great core fields (amount, currency, status, dates, MCC, merchantName, transactionDescription), but I’m not seeing any address or place/location metadata on a Transaction. For example, a small/local merchant where I can plausibly infer a single place: Fetched transaction: Transaction( id: 8D142B16-3E0E-40B8-945A-2E7C0CF65F1D, accountID: 14939CF4-DBC3-4A9D-8292-5FEA495B8461, transactionAmount: 47.24 USD, creditDebitIndicator: .debit, transactionDescription: "Local Dental Care", originalTransactionDescription: "Local Dental Care", merchantCategoryCode: 8021, merchantName: "Local Dental Care", transactionType: .pointOfSale, status: .booked, transactionDate: 2025-08-20 22:27:50 +0000, postedDate: 2025-08-21 11:22:06 +0000 ) Because this appears to be a single-location practice, I can usually resolve it to a place using MapKit search heuristics. But for big-box chains, I don’t get enough signal to determine which store: Fetched transaction: Transaction( id: 3F8E9F74-7565-4D24-9038-8FD709184799, accountID: 14939CF4-DBC3-4A9D-8292-5FEA495B8461, transactionAmount: 441.77 USD, creditDebitIndicator: .debit, transactionDescription: "The Home Depot", originalTransactionDescription: "The Home Depot", merchantCategoryCode: 5200, merchantName: "The Home Depot", transactionType: .pointOfSale, status: .booked, transactionDate: 2023-12-27 23:07:02 +0000, postedDate: 2023-12-29 03:09:41 +0000 ) There’s no store number, address, phone, or any stable identifier. With hundreds of locations, I can’t deterministically choose a map pin or fetch the right brand assets. What I’m trying to achieve I’d like to replicate the Apple Wallet experience: show a small map snapshot and merchant visuals (logo/name that match Apple Maps / the Place Card) on the transaction detail screen. Without a location hint, I have to either: Ask users to pick a store manually, or Make a guess based on a coarse, app-defined region …neither of which feels great. Questions Is there any way in FinanceKit today to access merchant location or a resolvable identifier (e.g., address, city/state, store number, Apple Maps place identifier, network merchant ID/MID, terminal ID, etc.)? If not, can FinanceKit expose additional merchant metadata (even opt-in / privacy-preserving) to enable Wallet-like enrichment? A few examples that would unblock this: merchantAddress (or components: street/city/region/postalCode/country) merchantPhone (often unique per store) merchantIdentifier (stable per physical location, e.g., network merchant ID / store number) mapsPlaceURL or mapsPlaceIdentifier (linkage to the Apple Maps Place Card) brandAssetURL (logo/brand reference similar to what Wallet shows) With even one of the above, I could reliably: Render an accurate map snapshot, Fetch the correct brand assets, and Avoid prompting the user or inferring via fuzzy search. Context / constraints I do not want to (and shouldn’t need to) request or monitor the user’s device location to resolve a merchant’s store location. For small merchants, MapKit text search is often enough. For large chains, I need a store-level identifier. If there’s an existing field or recommended approach I’m missing, I’d love pointers. If not, please consider this a feature request for richer merchant metadata in FinanceKit so developers can build Wallet-quality transaction details. Thanks!
