System canceled add payment pass - Apple Wallet
Hello All - I'm attempting to enable my companies app to add credit card to Apple Wallet. Part of our app enables customers to generate new virtual cards on demand and I'm attempting to enable the ability to add these cards to the Apple Wallet. Everything seems to be working all the way to the final stage of the process where I get a PKPassKitErrorDomain systemCancelled and I can't seem to find any clues as to why the system is canceling. For context - I have the com.apple.developer.payment-pass-provisioning entitlement. I have both the Wallet and In-App Provisioning capabilities enabled in the App. I have defined a PKAddPaymentPassViewControllerDelegate class that implements both the generateRequest and didFinishAdding methods. I'm leveraging PKAddPaymentPassViewController in SwiftUI by using a UIViewControllerRepresentable implementing class that returns the view controller properly when makeUIViewController is called. I build a PKAddPaymentPassRequest object and ensure that it is properly filled with encryptedPassData, activationData, and ephemeralPublicKey. As a user I'm able to go to the virtual card view, open the instance of PKAddPaymentPassViewController, select the destination for the card, see the Add Card information. I get to the point where the view tells me it's contacting the card issuer and then I get an error message "Could Not Add Card - Try again later or contact your card issuer for more information" with a "Set Up Later" button. I then get the system canceled error. I should mention that I'm able to add these virtual cards manually via the Apple Wallet. The process works similarly but requires me to provided an OTP to conclude the process. This flow works and I have active cards in my wallet. I'm having a very hard time figuring out how to try and debug this issue further. The only error that the system returns is the system canceled notice. Any insight into where I might be missing something or how to debug the issue further would be greatly appreciated. Any thought on how I could debug this further would also be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance - AYAL

Inquiry about apple-developer-merchantid-domain-association.txt Security and Access
I have a question regarding the file apple-developer-merchantid-domain-association.txt. I understand that this file is used during API access for Apple Pay Web payments. However, is it necessary for our company to access this file during the payment process? Also, this domain validation file is expected to be placed in the publicly accessible “.well-known” folder on our web server. Is it acceptable for this file to remain readable by third parties on the Internet, including Apple’s servers, without posing any security risks? Since this file is generated during domain registration on the Apple Developer site and is unique to our domain, we believe there should be no security concerns even if accessed by third parties. However, are there any specific security requirements for this domain validation file? Please note that the domain validation has already been successfully completed. We appreciate your time and look forward to your guidance. Best regards,

Non standard Wallet app non suppressed by pass suppression entitlement
We have an app that uses the pass-presentation-suppression entitlement and calls requestAutomaticPassPresentationSuppression to prevent the Wallet app from being presented when the device is displaying a barcode to a barcode/nfc reader. This works as expected for users of the standard Apple Wallet app. However, it does not prevent third-party wallet apps from being launched, which hides the barcode and prevents it from being scanned properly. What options do I have to prevent third-party wallet apps from launching or interfering while our app is actively presenting a barcode?

WCSessionDelegate not being called in the Apple Wallet Extension With UI
Hi, we are implementing the push provisioning via the Apple Wallet Extension starting from the example at https://developer.apple.com/documentation/passkit/implementing-wallet-extensions. To correctly manage the push provisioning on Apple Watch, specifically for a card tokenised in the iPhone but not in the Watch, we need to know if there is a connected Apple Watch to the iPhone. We are using the following code from the Apple Wallet Extension example to detect whether there is a connected watch: WCSession* session = [WCSession defaultSession]; session.delegate = delegate; [session activateSession]; In the main target of the app, at the end of the activation the system correctly calls the delegate method: session:activationDidCompleteWithState:error: but we noticed it is not being called in the UI extension context (the one having NSExtensionPointIdentifier: com.apple.PassKit.issuer-provisioning.authorization). We don't understand why the delegate is not being called in the UI extension, can you please help? Thanks! Steps to Reproduce: Start with a card not added in the Apple Wallet app Open the Apple Wallet app Click on add card Select the app to launch the Wallet Extension flow The Apple Wallet Extension with UI is on screen and invokes the activateSession method, the delegate method is not invoked and session.isPaired returns "no". How to update multiTokenContexts if ApplePayPaymentRequest does not initialize multiTokenContexts
https://developer.apple.com/documentation/apple_pay_on_the_web/applepaypaymentrequest/3955945-multitokencontexts According to this document, I know that I can initialize a multiTokenContexts when initializing ApplePayPaymentRequest. But I am now facing a tricky problem. If the user's order does not require multiTokenContexts, then I will not initialize this field when I first make ApplePayPaymentRequest. When the user is in the payment process, I may update multiTokenContexts. But this time, the update is not allowed, ApplePay will be cancelled and the payment will be closed. For example, if the user's address in Apple Pay is different, I need to update multiTokenContexts to support the payment of goods to multiple merchants, which will generate an update of multiTokenContexts. MultiTokenContexts can be updated in the onshippingcontactselected method. https://developer.apple.com/documentation/apple_pay_on_the_web/applepaysession/1778009-onshippingcontactselected My question is that from the beginning, there was no multiTokenContexts to update multiTokenContexts in onshippingcontactselected, which would cause the user to close the payment and need to manually click to pay again. This user experience is not very friendly. Is there a better way for me to go from no multiTokenContexts to multiTokenContexts without interrupting the user's payment process?

Unable to retrieve already provisioned passes via Apple Wallet Extension
We have updated the PNO metadata to include the associatedApplicationIdentifiers for our wallet extensions and the issuer app. While we are able to successfully provision the card to Apple Wallet via pull provisioning, we are unable to retrieve the payment passes that have already been provisioned. How can we address this issue? let passLibrary = PKPassLibrary() let paymentPassLibrary = self.passLibrary.passes(of: .secureElement) paymentPassLibrary is an empty array even though we have passes provisioned.

Can't Verify Merchant Domain - error Domain verification failed - Error 13014
Dear Apple Developer Support, I would like to request a technical escalation to the engineering team regarding an ongoing issue with Apple Pay domain verification. Error returned by Apple Even though Apple’s request to our domain returns HTTP 200, the verification still fails with: resultCode: 13014 resultString: "Domain verification failed. Review your TLS Certificate configuration to confirm that the certificate is accessible and a supported TLS Cipher Suite is used." requestUrl: https://developer.apple.com/services-account/QH65B2/account/ios/identifiers/verifyDomain TLS Certificate Validation We performed a full TLS analysis: Certificate issued by Sectigo Public Server Authentication CA DV E36 (public trusted CA) Full and correct certificate chain No handshake errors Configuration fully valid SSL Labs rating: A From our side, the TLS configuration is confirmed to be correct. Accessibility of the .well-known file The file is publicly and accessible It returns 200 OK and the content is exactly identical to the file downloaded from the Apple Developer Portal, without any modification. Our network team confirmed that Apple’s verification request also receives HTTP 200 when pressing “Verify” in the Apple Developer Console. Network-side findings We monitored Apple’s request in real time. Findings: TLS handshake succeeds No cipher mismatch File delivered correctly Status: 200 OK No redirect or transformation applied Despite this, Apple still returns error 13014. Request for engineering review We kindly request that an Apple engineer verify the following: The actual TLS handshake performed by Apple's verification service (cipher suite, protocol negotiation, SNI, trust chain). Whether the Sectigo issuing CA is fully trusted and supported by your domain-verification backend. If there is an internal reason behind error 13014—since the external message does not provide actionable details. Whether the response is rejected for reasons other than TLS, given that the file is accessible and the request returns 200. The exact condition that leads Apple to report “TLS Certificate configuration is incorrect” in this case. This issue is blocking an urgent deployment and must be resolved as soon as possible. Existing case reference Case ID: 102760005987 We are fully available to provide: full response headers packet captures (PCAP) SSL/TLS diagnostics file integrity checks server configuration details or join a technical call (Teams / WebEx) Thank you in advance for the escalation. How does the Domain Verification Files work
Currently, on our Production environment, when calling https://apple-pay-gateway.apple.com/paymentservices/paymentSessio,n we are randomly receiving: "Payment Services Exception merchantId={Value} unauthorized to process transactions on behalf of merchantId={Value} reason={Value} is not a registered merchant in WWDR and isn't properly authorized via Mass Enablement, either." Since launching Apple Pay on our platform we have received a new Domain Verification File and looking at some of the Domain Verification File that are hosted on the domains they are different to ours. Questions around the Domain Verification File Would we have to update every single Domain Verification File every time we receive a new one ? Does the paymentSession verfiy/call the Domain Verification File on the domain listed at https://[DOMAIN_NAME]/.well-known/apple-developer-merchantid-domain-association ? What happens if the Domain Verification File doesnt match the one that we currently have ? Would we have to regrester our Domains everytime we get a new Domain Verification File ?

Apple Pay on the Web for Insurance Renewals
Our company sells insurance and we'd like to offer annual renewals via Apple Pay on the Web. Most of the docs seem to point towards using recurringpaymentrequest but this method required an amount value which would only be calculated at renewal time. It appears that Shopify is doing something akin to what we want where they do auto payments so my question is can we do annual payments with unknown renewal prices with Apple Pay for Web ? What we cannot do is show the renewal price like this as it being insurance is almost certain to change. This is our current code which works but won't get past the regulator. const applePayPaymentRequestAnnual = { countryCode: 'GB', currencyCode: 'GBP', supportedNetworks: ['visa', 'masterCard'], merchantCapabilities: ['supports3DS'], requiredBillingContactFields: ['postalAddress', 'email'], requiredShippingContactFields: ['phone'], recurringPaymentRequest: { paymentDescription: 'Annual Insurance Renewal', regularBilling: { label: 'Annual Renewal Premium', amount: price, paymentTiming: "recurring", recurringPaymentIntervalUnit: "year", recurringPaymentStartDate: year + "-" + month + "-" + day + "T00:00:00.000Z", type: 'final' }, managementURL: window.location.protocol + '//' + window.location.host + '/manage-policy', tokenNotificationURL: window.location.protocol + '//' + window.location.host + '/apple-pay-notifications' }, lineItems: [{ label: alabel, amount: price, }], total: { label: alabel, amount: price, type: "final" }, }

Apple Pay Web Merchant Registration API
Hello, I am looking for some help on how to use the Apple Pay Web Merchant Registration API. Have been approved to use the API and attempted to test on a merchant ID set up for testing. Below are steps taken before the request. Create merchant ID com.test.merchant. Create Apple Pay Merchant Identity Certificate for using it with the request via p12. Create Platform Integrator platformintegrator.com.test With the below request, I am getting a 401. Any input would be much appreciated! curl --cert-type P12 --cert cert.p12:{password} -i -d '{\ "domainNames":["customer.test.com"],\ "partnerMerchantName": "customer.test.com",\ "partnerInternalMerchantIdentifier":"customer.test.com"}'\ "encryptTo":"com.test.merchant",\ https://apple-pay-gateway-cert.apple.com/paymentservices/registerMerchant The response: { "statusMessage": "Payment Services Exception Unauthorized", "statusCode": "401" } Also tried using the platformintegrator.com.test for the encryptTo but resulted in a 401 as well.

Adding a previous card to Apple Wallet and Express Travel Enabled
We are working with a large fintech org on project connected with provisioning payment cards to Apple Wallet. When we add a previously provisioned card to the Wallet (using the Wallet UI, Add card -> Previous card). It adds the card on one device showing the Express Travel card screen after the card is added allowing the user to set the card as an express travel card during the provisioning flow but never on our other devices. All of the test devices are clean and have only the same single card provisioned. What triggers the Express Travel Card screen to be shown during the add previous card flow? (Why is it showing on one device and not another).

Renewal of merchant Domains fails and redirects to main page without errors
Hello we are trying to renew our certificates. We are trying to extend the dates of verified domains following the docs https://developer.apple.com/documentation/applepayontheweb/maintaining-your-environment#Renew-Your-Domain-Verification and configure our server with https://developer.apple.com/documentation/ApplePayontheWeb/setting-up-your-server We've downloaded the apple-developer-merchantid-domain-association.txt and update it on their respective locations, click 'ok' button but we get redirected to the main page of the information of the merchant, and it shows the domains without the extending period of time. No popup showing what has failed or what could be the reason of this error, we only get a redirection to the main page.

App Fails to Access Added Passes
We’ve integrated in-app card provisioning into our application. All required configurations have been completed, including: Token Service Provider (TSP) setup Certificates uploaded to the Apple Developer portal While the card is successfully added to the Wallet app, our application is currently unable to retrieve or read the added passes.
