I've encountered an issue where we need multiple domain associations with separate Apple Pay implementations.
Briefly, we have a /.well-known/apple-developer-merchantid-domain-association already setup with Stripe, and now we need another, different version of the file to get setup with FreedomPay. FreedomPay insists this file represents a three-way relationship between all parties and I have no reason to disbelieve them.
I'm wondering if anyone has encountered this or if there is a standard procedure. I'm currently trying to find documentation on the exact way Apple Pay verification interacts with this file to see if we can produce it dynamically.

I'm currently working on an AppIntent in my app to import Apple Pay transactions via Transaction triggers in Shortcuts. While I can access the transaction name with the following code:
@Parameter(title: "Transaction")
var transaction: String
I'm not sure how to retrieve the full details of the transaction, including:
Card or Pass
Merchant
Amount
Name
At the moment, transaction only provides the name as a string, but I need access to the complete transaction data. I know that by selecting specific fields like Amount, Merchant, etc., I can retrieve each piece of data individually, but it would be much easier and more user-friendly to simply retrieve the entire transaction object at once.
Has anyone successfully retrieved all details of an Apple Pay transaction in this context, and if so, could you share how to do so?

I tried to test In-App Provisioning in Production for our whitelisted app through TestFlight (Internal Testing Track) and we received the following error response from PassBook during the provisioning attempt, Could you please guide us?
Error Response from sysdiagnose PassBookUIService during In-App Provisioning attempt:
{ statusCode = 500; statusMessage = "Broker Service Response exception"; }
I reported the error in Feedback Assistant: ID: FB16112348 (500 Broker Service Response exception during Apple Pay In-App Provisioning ).

please bear with me, i am NOT a developer. we have third party developer creating a banking app that is throwing an error when trying to provision MasterCard for Apple Pay. MasterCard says they do not see the request come in at all. our developer says the issue is between mastercard and apple - and asked us to reach out to Apple.
Information provided from our developer:
“Error code 2 is 'system cancelled' from the PKAddPaymentPassError enum. Basically, there is an issue between Apple and Mastercard (using the encrypted card info from...”
Response from Mastercard Connect:
Upon further research with the examples you shared we are not seeing any attempt that reached to MC

Apple Pay processed a transaction but the account has insufficient funds. Later the transaction is declined. Is it expected from Apple Pay? Does Apple Pay throws an error if the account has insufficent funds- iOS Swift ?
Does anyone know the code to handle this scenario in Swift iOS?
Is there a way to allow ApplePay to make deferred payments to a suite of stores, or will each store need the user to initially approve a payment manually?

Hi support,
Since June 26th 2025 we are experiencing an issue with the ApplePay SSL server certificate installed on our servers in Production environment.
We are facing an exception error during the initializing of a payment session while calling the url:
https://apple-pay-gateway.apple.com/paymentservices/startSession
The exception is Untrusted Server Certificate Chain:
javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: java.security.cert.CertificateException: Untrusted Server Certificate Chain
at sun.security.ssl.Alerts.getSSLException(Alerts.java:192)
at sun.security.ssl.SSLSocketImpl.fatal(SSLSocketImpl.java:1915)

at sun.security.ssl.SSLSocketImpl.startHandshake(SSLSocketImpl.java:1370)
at sun.security.ssl.SSLSocketImpl.startHandshake(SSLSocketImpl.java:1354)
It seems that the issue occurs randomly: we are experiencing this exception on most of our payment transactions, but there are some cases of users that have correctly paid on our site using this method and in those cases this error did not appear.
We installed the new certificate on our servers on July 3rd 2025 and renewed on Aug 7th 2025.
The new certificate validity is:
Not Before: Aug 6 18:43:52 2025 GMT
Not After : Nov 4 18:08:57 2025 GMT
I must specify that this issue is blocking the correct placement of AppleyPay orders of our customers.
Can you please help us find the problem and a possible solution?

I’m restructuring my business and want to remove Apple Pay. I use Woocommerce Square for payments. Do I do it in the Square dashboard or here? I honestly can’t remember how I set it up. I’m not a developer. I’m a farmer and work on my own website. Thanks!
I'm facing problem with in-app-provisioning in production application. When we try to tokenize (before T&C step) we are getting error from topic.
I've also posted this in Feedback Assistant: FB18403577.
I'll be very happy if someone could help me to get what is wrong with data or configuration of application.
Hi,
We have 2 applications, in the first App, In-App Provisioning is working fine, but our second app is not working,
I've done them all the procedures I did in the first app, everything is also configured in our PNO.
Error Response from sysdiagnose PassBookUIService during In-App Provisioning attempt:
statusCode = 500;
statusMessage = "Broker Service Response exception";
I also created a request in the feedback assistant: FB15959221
Thank you

Hi support,
I'm getting the following error when I tried to re-verify my domain:
Domain verification failed. Review your TLS Certificate configuration to confirm that the certificate is accessible and a supported TLS Cipher Suite is used.
I have uploaded the required apple-developer-merchantid-domain-association.txt file and it is reachable from the Internet in the proper location https://www..com/.well-known/apple-developer-merchantid-domain-association.txt.
The SSL certificate has been renewed and it offers at least one of required cipher suites based on the Apple document https://developer.apple.com/documentation/applepayontheweb/setting-up-your-server.
The current verification will expire soon. Need your help urgently.
Thanks,
YaoF

Hi!
I am working on automating the Apple Pay integration process in our CI/CD pipeline and would like to confirm whether a fully automated setup is currently possible for our preproduction environment.
Right now, our process is as follows:
A certificate is generated for the root domain and for each individual merchant subdomain.
Both certificates are manually uploaded to our preproduction servers to test and verified via HTTP.
We’d like to automate this flow in GitLab CI, mainly the generation of the necessary certificates programmatically or via API. However, from my research, it seems that Apple does not currently provide an API or any support to automate this task, but I’d like to confirm this directly with you.
Is there any official support or workaround for this kind of automation?
If not, do you have any plans to provide it in the future?
Thanks in advance for your help.
We are an issuer attempting to implement In-App Provisioning of Payment Cards leveraging Mastercard MDES and have successfully obtained our entitlement from Apple, but have not received the documentation titled "Getting Started with Apple Pay In-App Provisioning, Verification & Security".
The latest copy I have found has been via Scribd for a version 3.0 from June 2020. I've tried contacting Apple Support and the In-App Provisioning Entitlements group but have had no luck.
Thank you!

Hi - I have a question. I am trying to understand when Apple Pay will be available on non-IOS desktop devices (specifically Google Chrome). I was hoping to understand better the process, specifically the following:
How can I get the Apple Pay QR code installed on my desktop checkout page on Google Chrome?
How long does this process usually take?
If I work with Stripe, do I need to get approval from them to install the Apple QR code onto my Google Chrome checkout page?
Is this readily available to all merchants (i.e., installing Apple Pay on Google Chrome)/
I have not seen this on any other checkout pages yet. Are there any examples you could point me to of merchants that have installed Apple Pay onto non-IOS desktop so I could trial the process (i.e., a list of existing merchants that have put the QR code onto their Google Chrome checkout pages)?
We are looking for sample payload for merchant registration API.
We have tried to test the api and getting an error.
Request:
curl --location 'https://apple-pay-gateway-cert.apple.com/paymentservices/registerMerchant'
--header 'Content-Type: application/json'
--data '{
"domainNames": "https://checkout.dev.sandbox-netvalve.com",
"encryptTo": "platformintegrator.com.netvalve.uat",
"partnerInternalMerchantIdentifier": "merchant.test.netvalve",
"partnerMerchantName": "Test"
}'
Response:
{
"statusMessage": "Payment Services Exception invalid or Malformed Json Received",
"statusCode": "400" }

Hi,
Please refer the info graphic .
I'm an issuer Bank App, who wants to add a card to phone's Digital Wallet.
When I hit add to Apple or Google wallet, my API call goes to a Token Requester server and then to Token Service provider.
In this process, I do get a JWT token back, but when I try to add token to Digital Wallet, I always get the message "The pass cannot be read because it is not valid".
So few question:
Is there a way to debug the token that is received by the app?
Is there any kind of API console that I can look to see what is happening and why the pass is not valid?
I, being the Issuer Bank App, a Token Service Requester and A Token Service Provider, who should be communicating with Apple servers?
Are there any documents that explicitly shows (example) the flow of adding a credit card to Digital Wallet from iOS perspective?
Any other help is appreciated.
On my end, I have done this:
public void AddToDeviceAsync(string data)
{
try
{
var dataArray = Encoding.UTF8.GetBytes(data);
if (data.Length > 0)
{
if (PKAddPassesViewController.CanAddPasses && PKPassLibrary.IsAvailable)
{
_nsData = NSData.FromArray(dataArray);
ObjCRuntime.Class.ThrowOnInitFailure = false;
_pkPass = new PKPass(_nsData, out NSError e);
if (!string.IsNullOrWhiteSpace(e?.LocalizedDescription))
{
UserDialogs.Instance.AlertAsync(e.LocalizedDescription, AppResources.Alert);
return;
}
if (!PkLibrary.Contains(_pkPass))
{
var controller = new PKAddPassesViewController(_pkPass);
var rootViewController = UIApplication.SharedApplication.Delegate.GetWindow().RootViewController;
if (rootViewController != null)
{
var topController = TopViewControllerWithRootViewController(rootViewController);
topController?.PresentViewController(controller, true, null);
}
}
else
{
UserDialogs.Instance.AlertAsync(AppResources.Pass_Already_Present, AppResources.Alert);
}
}
}
else
{
UserDialogs.Instance.AlertAsync(AppResources.Invalid_Pass_Data, AppResources.Alert);
}
}
catch (Exception e)
{
UserDialogs.Instance.AlertAsync(e.Message, AppResources.Alert);
}
}

Hi there,
is there a way, or a list of test cards, to simulate error on payment in an Apple Pay sandbox environment ?
I tried different cards mentioned here but every try was successful : https://developer.apple.com/apple-pay/sandbox-testing/

I’m trying to test an AMEX card in the sandbox environment, but it’s not getting added. I have followed and verified the checks below to add the card to Wallet:
Sandbox account is active.
Sandbox user region is set to the US.
Device region is also set to the US.
AMEX card from the provided list is being added.
Tested on iOS version 17.6.1
Devices tested include iPhone 13 and others.
Steps followed to add the card to Wallet:
Open Wallet and tap on "Add Card."
Entered the required test data.
Tapped "Agree" and waited.
Received error: "Issuer does not support this card."
Please let me know if you have any solutions.
We’ve an implementation of apple pay with asia pay as gateway .
We want to access that from external iframe . although we’ve been able to load the apple pay widget not able to validate merchant and tokenize in iframe.
Please let us know if apple pay with asia pay is available to be used within iframe.
multiTokenContexts is defined as follows
(https://developer.apple.com/documentation/passkit/pkpaymentrequest/multitokencontexts)
You can assign a value when initializing PKPaymentRequest (https://developer.apple.com/documentation/passkit/pkpaymentrequest).
However, in actual usage scenarios, when the Apple Pay address changes and PKPaymentRequestShippingContactUpdate (https://developer.apple.com/documentation/passkit/pkpaymentrequestshippingcontactupdate) is triggered, how to update multiTokenContexts?
The documentation and code do not provide updates for this parameter.
In contrast, Apple Pay on the Web provides newMultiTokenContexts as an update when ApplePayShippingContactUpdate (https://developer.apple.com/documentation/apple_pay_on_the_web/applepayshippingcontactupdate) is triggered.
Has anyone encountered this problem? Would you happen to have any solutions? Thank you.
